HP PSC 2350 don't scan in windows 8.1

Recently purchased new HP PC running on Windows 8.1.  My printer is a HP PSC 2350, model B209a.  I can print without problem.  Unable to scan to PC.  Tried to download the software.  Get the error message that the download is blocked, which means I can't download the software of the printer to the PC.    Of course, the CD supplied with the printer does not work with Windows 8.1.

What else can I try?

Hey @Bootigs ,

  • PSC 2350 doesn't scan

I have a Dell with Windows 8.1 (64-bit).  When I press on the "Scan to" or the "Start SCAN" buttons, I get the message "you need to install or run HP software for this feature.  What software?  Where is he?

On the HP Support site, I downloaded the 'HP printer install wizard for Windows' [8.1].  I ran the wizard.  Part of the process allows the scanner test.  The test was successful - he said that the software worked.  However, when I go to the PSC 2350 and try to scan, the mentioned error message previously always comes to the top.  So, what's the problem?

Through some trial and error I discovered a solution - I can't always use scan on the psc 2350 buttons, but there is a solution:

Procedure for scanning using an HP psc 2350 connected to a Dell Inspiron 660 with Windows 8.1

    1. Go to "Desktop" (in the window that contains 'Favorites', 'Homegroup', 'This PC' and 'Network')

    2. Double click on "Control Panel."

    3. Go to 'Hardware and Sound' and click 'view devices and printers. "

    4. Go to "Printers" and double click on "HP psc 2350 series.

    5. Double click on 'search for a document or an image.

    6. A window opens that allows you to specify the characteristics of scanning; After you choose the settings that you want, you can "Preview" of the object to scan or to do the 'Scan '.

    7. When the analysis is complete, a dialog window ("import pictures and videos") appears allowing you to specify the way in which the scanned object must be imported into a file in your computer.

    8. Select the option you want (or click the "More options" link to get a clearer idea of what options are / average) and click on "next".

    9. The scanned item appears in a window of 'imported photos and videos; "you can click on the displayed element and ' move to ' or copy to ' a file/folder desired.

  • HP psc 2410 high-resolution scanning in windows 7

I have a hp psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one.  My OS is windows 7 64-bit.  I would like to know how to use the

assisted 19200 dpi setting for the scanner.

Given that the drivers for this printer are in OS, you will need to use paint or another program similar to analyze. I don't think that you can control the DPI that use WIA drivers. I've included a link to a document that will show you how to use them. Hope that helps.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 don't scan from windows 8 updrade

Printer is working and it is interesting to windows 8 "HP scan and capture" app works but can scan to network folder or no longer use the scanner in other windows such as windows fax applications.  Had worked fine with win 7 64 bit.  I removed all instances of Panel Manager RESUME and control device, rebooted and installed the latest version of the software and drivers website.  Print and scan the program doctor says problem with WIA and TWAIN and get error "cannot communicate with printer" even if it prints very well.  I am connected wirelessly with a static IP address using a Cisco EA4500 router (even once all this has worked with windows 7, but not with windows 8).  Also disabled norton AV and firewall.

    Appreciate the suggestions/fix.

    Thank you.

Ok.  I think I found a solution to this inability to analyze (but with the HP scan and capture app) and for windows paint, fax, etx to recognize the scanner pro OJ8600 while being able to print.  Because I never got no solution, I thought I'd post what I have so that maybe it will help someone else solve the problem.  He ends this uninstall/reinstall HP drivers and software/reg cscrubbing/port opening/firewall/AV tweeks did nothing.  I uninstalled the drivers for logitech and webcams microsoft that had been installed on the machine has Windows 7 before windows 8 analysis update, restart PC and now everything is back as it was before the victory 8 upgrade, at least for now. In fact, I have a HP AIO peripheral job! Do not know if the webcam drivers are not compatible with win 8 or exactly what the issue was but seems as if they were in conflict with the wia and/or drivers HP; uninstalling them seems to have worked.  Finally I can find and install the new drivers of webcam but, after trying to figure this out for a month, I think I'll leave it be for now.  I hope this helps someone!

I now have my issue fixed. I called Canon Help Desk twice and each time they were on for an hour and more, after the second time, they said it was my pc that was the problem. Well, their after disable me my anti-virus several times and still no solution, after the last time, I discovered that even when I turned off my antivirus, it still doesn't work, then I realized that the firewall ESET NOD32 is always enabled. Then disbaled the firewall and then the software for my Canon MP560 was able to detect and to complete the installation. Now everything works fine wireless. After more than a week, it was something so simple, but with all the experts, telling me what I should do, it wasn't anything thay suggested, but something I thought was disabled with the anti-virus, but was not. My C309a don't scan:

-When I press the button on the printer, it is said there is a problem of scan and told me to "try to start the scan of the computer, refer to the documentation for more details"

-When I open the HP solution on the Office Center, it says it cannot run because "your device isn't complete... Please connect the USB cable or re-run the form progam setup from the installation to a network installation CD... If it does not complete the installation or you do not have the CD to access the HP help files by clicking on the start menu.

    I'm out of ideas

In response to my own Announces 1/2 day later.

HP Photosmart C309a will not computer scan.  The HP Solution Center does NOT open.  Can print but cannot open the HP Solution Center and command the C309a to scan a document.  Using Windows 7.  Tried to download new driver and also used the original installation disc without success in the restoration of the HP Solution Center that is used to control the printer to perform analyses.

Click the Start button on windows at the bottom left

    Click "all programs."

    Clicked on "HP".

Under "HP" clicked "Photosmart C309a Series"

    Click 'add a device '.

A program was launched which has detected my existing C309a and when he was finished the HP Solution Center has been restored to its previous working state.  I did this using the wireless connection.  I always have not plugged the laptop in the wired connection on my desktop that I don't want to get out of this comfortable chair and address this issue more. He now works in wireless mode, and that's good enough for now!

  • Dell Latitude: Scan with Windows 10

I have a HP Deskjet 3520.  in a moment of pure, pure madness, I've upgraded to Windows 10.  Now my printer won't scan to my computer in pdf format.

If I try to scan to PDF it is right there with a message "connecting to a computer" which remains for about 5 minutes, then he told me "the computer does not respond.  Check that the USB cable is attached or wireless works correctly and try again."  Yep, check it out and try to print of tp.  Yes, so the computer is obvioisly talk to the printer, try scanning in format PDF - not just the same message.

Previously, he fortunately scanned word copy paper in pdf documents but not now.  My computer is a Dell Latitude E5500, already served by Windows 7.  Now I don't know even how to find out what is my basic computer.  I don't know that Windows (Microsoft I guess) kept sending messages that my upgrade was ready and that if I install all my data and stuff would be ok.  Well, it's not ok.  I don't want to do something harmful - I just want to be able to scan documents to PDF, so I can send by e-mail.

  • DeskJet 3050 has: Scan Options window

    Hello

I have the DeskJet 3050 a printer and when I scan something it automatically scans in JPEG format. As I want to change my scans, I downloaded and installed the OCR software (I followed the instructions posted on the support forum HP, installation of the software for the HP Pro 8500 printer A910n JO). After you install this software, however, I can't find a scan window that allows me to choose the format for the scan options I'm about to do -: in other words, I don't have a window which now allows me to choose the RTF rather than JPEG. Do you know where I can find it?

(the instructions given on the Support forum for this step are: 4) now open the HP Deskjet 3050 scan window. Select "Scan" everyday and in the dropdown for "Type", select "Rich TEXT" or «indexable PDF»

(My problem is that I can't find the window of scanning HP DeskJet 3050 - and constantly scans automatically to JPEG format)

    Thank you

First of all, you must have the drivers and software HP Deskjet full functionality installed.  The scanning software provided with the HP Deskjet 3050 does NOT include OCR capabilities.  However, the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910n printer come with OCR capabilities.  Thus, the installation of the software and driver for the OfficeJet included installing the OCR package that can be used by the HP Deskjet 3050 HP scanning software and the product HP OfficeJet.

The HP scanning software are accessible in several ways:

    • #1 method - the Windows 7 Desktop: start-> all programs-> HP-> HP Deskjet 3050...-> HP Scan
    • #2 method - the Windows 7 Desktop: start-> all programs-> HP-> HP Deskjet 3050...-> HP Deskjet 3050...
    • Method #3 - Windws 7 Office: find HP Deskjet 3050 desktop icon; If it is present, run (double-click on).

Method #2 and #3 will launch the Desktop Client software. Under the analysis section, choose 'Analyze a photo document' to launch the HP scanning software.

    • Method #4: Navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \HP\HP Deskjet 3050\bin; Run Scan.exe HP (double click).  (Note: the C: drive is the default installation drive, change accordingly if you have installed the software on a drive by default.)

In the HP scanning software, you should see a number of shortcuts named Scan on the left panel of the dialog box.  Select the Scan shortcut named 'Scan' every day and change type of file to RTF settings in the right pane of the dialog box.  You can also create your own Scan shortcuts and configure the settings for scanning for this Scan shortcut to your liking, including the file type.

Click on 'accept as Solution' if it has solved your problem, while others may find it.

  • HP3070 analysis via the USB port, but don't scan the network, printing is ok? Used to work, but no more

MyHP3070 deskjet will scan and print via USB link, but don't scan the network, printing is authorized via netowrk. Used to work but not anymor. I have windows XP laptop. I tried HP doctor but in vain. It says that it cannot connect with the driver. Tried to uninstall and reinstall from the CD and also downloaded driver via HP web page but does not. Any ideas what to try next? Also have Norton 360 software virsus and tried extinction of firewalls, etc., but it doesn't seem to help. What is confusing, is that it is used to work but now is intermittened, it won't work at all.

I managed to uninstall with REVO Uninstaller. This removed the driver original from the Add/REMOVE program possibly a result.  This then allowed me to install the driver that you recommended to your link above. I ran out of time yesterday to test if the printer has worked with the new download, so I'll have to try again later today to see if it works. I would grab with result.

    Thanks a mil

  • HP PSC 2350: Colors wrong print HP PSC 2350

I have Windows XP and IE8.

Lately, the printer has been printing with the color green instead of yellow. The rest of the colors are fine. I tried to align the printer and clean the cartridges, but it has not solved the problem completely. In the Toolbox, I printed a test page, diagnosis and calibration of quality - now, instead of yellow, there is a color that looks like partly green and yellow in part. How to fix the colors?

    Hi @Thomas82,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that the printer prints wrong colors. I would like to help you today. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

I was not sure which document you've already tried. I tabled this document for print quality problems, you might have tried most of the steps while already. Here is the link all-in-one printer, HP PSC 2350 Series - issues of quality printing with the diagnosis Page.

    You use genuine HP cartridges?
    What are the ink levels?

  • HP PSC 2179, cannot load the driver Windows 7 from MS Update

    Hello

Just tried to install the 2179 PSC on a DC 7900 running Windows 7. It installs all the drivers except for one very last: 2170 Hewlett-PackardPSC series. I tried the HP printer running Installation Wizard, but it does not work Advisor I don't have an internet connection (even if I do but I'm behind a firewall to work-). Is it possible that I can download the drivers separately? Any advice would be very appreciated.

    Thank you

    Andy

    Hello Ripjing,

Please try the below mentioned steps, which should allow you to print...

Click START > device and printer > add a printer > add a local printer >

(if the printer is connected with USB)

Select "Use existing Port" then Virtual USB from the drop-down menu, click on NEXT, in the production list, select HP / Hewlett-packard and in the right pane, select Deskjet 6980 and finish the wizard

Now print a document. It should work.

    Kind regards
    Jabzi
