  I've owned my computer desk HP 64-bit for more than two years. I installed and used Scanjet G3110 much during this period.   I just found a post on HP Scan and Capture. I googled the term and found the Web site immediately. It is a free download that when installed works fine, if my suggestion to solve G3110 problems is to do the same... to install the new HP Scan and Capture software and use it as you the user interface of your scanner.

  I am installing the update of the BIOS 1, 70-WIN of 09/12/12, delivered in a folder called "bios-20120907140253', unsuccessfully zip.

  In my opinion, you need not update the BIOS, even if the new BIOS has been updated.

  I use stunts and earn 8 a few months now, no problems.

  Bring up a menu contextual (right-click) on the Setup file, select Properties, then the Compatibility tab and set the compatibility for Win 7, it will then install without problem.

  Tecra M10 - 10I belongs to the series of PTMB1E and according to the page of the Toshiba UE driver, BIOS v3.00 - WIN is the latest BIOS version which is available for this model.

  I guess that the BIOS does not support booting eSATA port but just the USB port.
  But it's just an idea... that should be checked once more in the BIOS settings.
  Maybe a BIOS update would also help.

  BIOS update may be run from under Windows system only. But the BIOS update also requires some software additional Toshiba which depends on the system.

  In the case of Windows 7 or Vista, the value of added Toshiba package must be installed. In the case of Win XP, you must install the package of common Modules.

  Tecra A10 is a great unit. I have the successor called Tecra A11. I use Win 7 and its really awesome OS. Much better than the beginning of Win XP
