  • SoftPaq Download Manager stuck at 'Search available SoftPaqs'

I'm trying to get the last SoftPaqs for our new EliteDesk 800 G1 systems. A few days previously, the SDM them no problem. Now, when I try to find the SoftPaqs, the console crashes. I left running all night without success. When I click on cancel, he never cancels. I manually shut down SDM and I restarted. I also deleted the product catalog. When I have the SDM find SoftPaqs for the system installed on the SDM, it finds immediately. Flipping through the newspaper, I saw a few error messages that stand out:

  • Download Manager HP early assessment program requires Login?

Recently, HP SoftPaq Download Manager on my 4540 s ProBook HP auto updated and installed HP early assessment program Download Manager. I'm fine with the AutoUpdate updates, but there is a problem.

First of all, I can't use the original SoftPaq Download Manager version 3.4.10.0 because it updates automatically. Second,

I can't use the new HP start evaluation download manager program, version 3.4.10.0, without username and password. So, now what? Is there a connection that I can use? Where do I get it?

Just for fun, I put in my HP Passport login and my password and the login window will answer after 30 seconds, with "could not connect..." Please try again... »

The SDM and the early HP rating program (FUP) are the exact same application. One that is installed depends on passing a switch command line for the installation program (Setup.exe): no switch = SDM, switches = EEP. That is why we find it confusing that SDM updated and installed the EEP.

You can go to run as SDM EEP, but rather to explain all the manual settings that need to be made, we recommend the following:

    • Uninstall the SDM/EEP.
    • Delete all the files and subdirectories in this directory: C:\ProgramData\HP SoftPaq Download Manager.
    • Download the latest version of SDM from here: http://www.hp.com/go/sdm . Please note, that the 3.4.11.0 version.
    • Run the executable.

To answer your question, MDS continues to not require credentials but EEP made (for security reasons) but they are assigned to the customer at the time that the program starts.

August 1 HP made changes to their support site. After this time of downloads was a mess and with incomplete list SP. At least for the models who enter the business model category. HP has always failed to list the SP for the business models as if it was before August 1.

I checked your model and here is what I find.

Graphics drivers are missing and perhaps more components.

I think it was a very bad timing of HP to make this change, a few days after the release og Win10.

  • need for external Download Manager

I would like to install a download manager different than that is Firefox. I was with Free Download Manager 2.0.14 until the last update disabled as not compatible. What external download managers will work with the last updated? I'm on dial-up internet and large downloads take a lot of time with starts and stops in between.

No possible update for the program. Found another program, FlashGot, that can browse the Free Download Manager. Thanks for your time.

  • You cannot add a download manager like idm in firefox?

If you can, why not you? You can do an open source Manager to download as open source browser and it shipped with Firefox. Am I wrong?

    Hello

I had a peek in on the Firefox Add-ons site download managers and we found quite a few extensions that might help.

Firefox already contains some download management options and these extensions (whether on their own or with others) will expand to this.

I hope this helps, but if you have any other questions please request and we will do our best to help.

Short of hunting for and installation of the previous version of Fx (which worked perfectly well) suggestions?

You could try the latest beta.

  • Internet Download manager does not.

Internet Download manager doesn't work only with the latest version of Firefox.

My Firefox crashes regularly as wee. Suggestions how to solve these two problems.

Is the download manager that you are using a Firefox extension? If so, have you checked that the extension is up-to-date and compatible with the latest version of Firefox?

Also, is it possible that the button you are looking for should be added to the Firefox toolbar? Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

  • Firefox Download Manager problems

The default in Firefox Download Manager began to show strange behavior today: no matter what file I try to download (in the default \download folder or in a folder chosen by me) is actually downloaded by the browser, but the file download status bar always a message "unknown time remaining" while being entirely green (https://www.dropbox.com/s/n891ya38ifm83c3/Cattura%20di%20schermata%20%284%29.png?dl=0).

The real problem is when I download .torrent files that are downloaded the torrent client need to start (torrent client that does not start because for firefox, is never finished downloading .torrent).

I tried to disable the antivirus (bitdefender), but the problem persisted. Chrome downloads work fine (as with active antivirus).

It's the b9 32.0 and it has been fixed and will be in the build 32.0 then, probably the RC1 build 32.0 if normally such a fix would be a beta version as 32.0b10. The release is Tuesday next so little time. From topic: config you can try to change the empty value of browser.safebrowsing.appRepURL in the meantime.

  • Download Manager stops when I turn off Firefox

I have tried twice now; It didn't used to be like that. I have a current download. When I disable the Firefox, the download ends, too. My version is Firefox 24. How can I keep the download? Thanks for your help.

The default is to pause a download and resume the download automatically the next time.

You can set the pref browser.download.manager.quitBehavior to 2 on the topic: config page.

That will make Firefox asks for confirmation if you want to cancel the download when you close Firefox.

  • Because I'm on satellite (Hughes), I need to use a download manager to plan large downloads @ 02:00 how do then? (With the help of Windows XP)

How can I plan a download to occur at some point? I have Hughes Download Manager, but am unable to intervene in the download process. Hughes said that the parameters have to be adjusted in Firefox or window, but I do not see where or how. Thank you.

Firefox doesn't have the parameters like that. You need to install an external Download Manager which has a "timer".

  • 20.0.1 (most recent) pause downloads when the window is closed. keep to cancel my pron by accident files. where I put "browser.download.manager.quitBehavior"?

-have the most recent version 20.0.1
-He paused downloads when I close the browser window
-can not restart downloads on sites like rapidgator, ryushare etc.
-keep cancel my pron downloads by accident
    -very annoying
-How/where can I set the value of browser.download.manager.quitBehavior?

The new version is fine, but I don't know why you would do this change. This is no logic coming from Firefox because I think it's you guys who presents the Download Manager window. Anyone who uses Firefox knows that when you close the window, the downloads remain... at least until now. Maybe an option during installation?

I, as well as others I know not switched back to Firefox from Chrome due to latency issues, but I'm sure that many of your users is returned to Chrome or IE misfortune because of this problem.

You can set the pref browser.download.manager.quitBehavior to 2 on the topic: config page.

That will make Firefox asks for confirmation if you want to cancel the download when you close Firefox.
