HP T7100 Plotter

We just bought a HP T7100 tracer for our office. The question we have is ink will smear if we run a highlite fallen on pen. The colleague who has implemented has used the same rolled paper we used in our Laser KIP printer. I know with domestic printers, you should use paper recommended for the injets or lasers. So my question is - is - it specific paper, that we must use that prevents smudging of ink?

This forum focuses on the level of consumer products.  For the Designjet you can have better results, post in the forum HP Designjet here.

  • HP Designjet T7100: Designjet T7100 continuous long print document

My plotter is on the local network and works very well.  I have a PDF file that is much larger (longer) that these are great.  Due to the large amount of information on the layout, the police is very low.  This means I have to print large drawing that I can do. If the drawing prints to the maximum width of paper of the plotter scale is sufficient (font is readable).  The print dialog allows to break the document into separate poster sized pieces, but I want to print the whole thing on a piece of paper continuous time.  It's theoretically possible, but I need to figure out the correct settings.  Anyone has experience with this, and you can post the appropriate settings?

    @Douglas_Phelps

I don't have any experience with your printer model, however the User Guidesays that you can create a custom for your printer paper size and that would be useful.  See Chapter 9, Page 80

    A few general ideas

Because you cannot create a larger custom paper size that the driver can handle, you can create your custom paper size to be longer than it is wide, and then perhaps to print the document in the landscape, which actually has the orientation of 90 degrees.  Note: Depending on your printer software, you may need to log outgoing/incoming or restart the computer to see the new paper size in your list.

You can try to open the PDF file in Adobe Reader MS> file > Printe > print preview (open)

Depending on your printer driver software, you can maybe open properties and fnd the paper size option.  The custom paper size should be listed.

Another option of interest (in print preview mode) > under sizing Page and handling > Poster

If the poster is not useful in this context, or if the paper size is elusive (assuming that you did create a model appropriate to the custom made size, try selecting "source of paper to choose depending on the size of Page PDF.  NOTE: By selecting poster appears to eliminate / reduce to zero the possibility to choose paper...

Also on the homepage of the print preview > option to change orientation

Now, I don't know if this will actually work - I have a OfficeJet Pro 8630; It does not print the wonderful, long, rolls of paper.  The smile.  It may be a few minutes of your time to play with the settings.

There may be information on what you need to be mentioned the User Guide - it is quite broad - or there may be something useful in another manual from those that are available to the Web site of your printer Support pages.

  • ERROR MESSAGE 86:01 PLOTTER HP DESIGNJET T1100

    Hello

I have a hp designjet T1100 plotter, I almost never use it, and when I use it, it's a problem for me! Last week I was printing of plans when he started to give problems... To start, it took a long time to print a map and it prints wrong. I tried to restart, but the plotter decided not print others. So, I decided to turn off the machine for that day here. All of a sudden, the next day, when I tried to print other plans; the plotter print plan the previous day correctly, but it didn t feel more...

When the plotter was printing of plans, it makes a strange noise, which I had never heard. Finally, it showed the following error message: "86:01 probably paper jam. But I checked it and the book has been authorized. I tried to replace the roll paper again and I rebooted again, but the plotter still shows the same message, and I couldn t continue plotting. In addition, when I was checking the paper jam I found a "strap" (I m do not know if this word is okay) that looked as if it was broken. Perhaps, it may be the cause of the problem, I don't know Don t. I feel fed up with my eyeliner! I am attaching the picture of the "strap."

Sorry for my English, but for me, being able to talk about this topic in another language different to mine it s very difficult!

    Thanks in advance.

That "strap" is the timing belt. It should be replaced because he is the cause of the error 86:01. The link is for the belt of 44 ". Do a google search if you have the model 24 ".

  • Satellite X 200-can I set my FSB 667 t5450 at a FSB 800 t7100?

I'm not finding much about the specifications of the mobo and the capacity to my X 200 - FG1. The 1.66 GHz cpu isn't great and I would like to ask in a T7100 1.8 / 2 m / 800 I have the laptop of the other party. I can't find info on the question if the Mobo will work with the FSB 800 of the T7100.

AND... Am I correct to assume that this voids my warranty unless its done by an authorized Service Center?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

As much as I know CPU upgrade is not supported by Toshiba and I think not authorized provider will do this for you.
Check it please this interesting document on CPU/GPU http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ7A01ZW0007R01.htm upgrade

In my opinion, you must upgrade parts like HARD or RAM disk support. Upgrade CPU on laptops is quite complicated.

  • plotter / cut not the usb ports

I recently moved my office and cutting cutter / plotter in another room. Now, for some reason, my vinyl cutting software does recognize not all USB Com Ports and therefore, will not cut.  (I tried configuring it for each port with no luck). When I open devices and printers and look at USB / series of properties of Strawberry, it shows that its on Com9... and I have 6 USB ports I know.  First question... where I expect to identify the USB ports are what #s.  4 behind the pc and 2 in front.

Com is a reference to the COM port and is a "serial port".  Replace the USB port.

PS <>, change the hardware configuration does not cause this problem.   Someone changed the settings.

  • Can satellite L300-11 - I replace the CPU for the Core 2 Duo T7100?

I have laptop Toshiba L300-11F. It integrates CPU INTEL CELERON CPU 550 @ 2 GHz, socket 479P. Can I replace this processor on the socketP478 of core2duo T7100 and know if it will work on 800 MGz?

    Hello

I doubt that you could use this new processor.
One main thing is important; the chipset of the motherboard must support the new processor. If the chipset will not support the new processor then you can not use it.
In addition, you can use a CPU with a different outlet

As indicated in your ad, the new processor supports different socket and therefore it will not match with the motherboard.

  • T790 in PS 44: Plotter does not print along the width of the roll

Hello Forum, we have a problem. I can't figure out how to get the T790 to print reliably with the longitudinal axis of the image on the width of the roll. I did a test-high 840 300 mm wide stripe and print it. Of course, I don't want to print an empty square three quarters with a small vertical strip of color, it's a waste of paper money =.

Yet, I can not understand how to force the machine to the vertical axis of the image along the width of the print roller. On most printers, including our former HP plotter, Mac paper settings dialog box has defined "width" as "width of the roll. The T790 know that. No matter how to set the page layout, no matter how I orient the printed image, it always comes out print vertically.

Is it maybe a bug in the Mac driver? Clues?

    TIA

    John / Bauatelier

    Hello Mike,.

We have solved the problem recently, I had not had the time to post the answer.

There is a setting buried two deep dialogue-pages that overrides the paper size and force the page to be drawn in a particular direction - exactly what we have been see. I disabled it and now it works fine.

    Thank you

  • Bode plotter and transient analysis

    Hello

I'm trying to generate a sinusodial wave and amplify it. From what I've seen on the scope my circuit works fine, but the bode plotter and the transient analysis do not work for some reason any.

I have read some threads and guides online on without success...

Can someone please take a look at my drawings and show me how to connect the bode plotter and transient analysis tool?

    Thank you

    A

    S.M.

To get the transient analysis of work either set initial conditions defined by the user, or to zero.

To get the Bode Plotter to work, you need to (temporarily) connect a voltage source to the point where you connect to the entrance.

    See the attached file.

  • Bode Plotter problem

    Hello

could someone explain to me why Bode Plotter shows nothing on this circuit?

I placed the resistance of very low-value series with L1 and now it works.

Is this behavior of the circuit of the origin of this effect?

You should have a driver installed to be able to print to the drawing board. If you have that you can simply use the file-> print command... to select what you want to print.

  • DesignJet 750 c plotter will work with Windows 7?

I am interested in buying a plotter used to draw designs of engineering/survey.  My computer installed Windows 7.  There's a DesignJet 750 c for sale on Craigslist, but I do not know if she would go to my computer.  I checked the hp support and there are no Windows 7 drivers for this printer.  A DesignJet 750 c will work with Windows 7 by using another driver?  If this is not the case, what tracers (24 "-36") will work with Windows 7?

    Thank you

    Hello

Based on the following link, you can use it on Windows 7:

I have an old windows 98 are dedicated to this plotter and it work fine until we have upgraded to the new machine with windows xp.

    Hello Dzuco,

Thank you for your message.  You will need get a driver xp for printer/plotter.  Pilots are produced by the manufacturer and are usually downloaded from their Web site, however, I can't seem to find anything online to JRL Systems.  I recommend you contact JRL systems for the suitable driver for your printer.  You also have the option to search the Web for 'plotter jrl systems printer driver.  Don't forget that some 3rd party software can contain viruses and malware, so take precautions by downloading and installing the 3rd party software.
