  So since when you bought it-the webcam never worked? If that were the case then you should have returned or a replacement when you discovered it? Now if it concerns the guarantee then you will have to pay for repair or find the part and replace the webcam yourself or have the computer shop to do.

  Really, I'm losing my patience here. My laptop is brand new. I remember the first time I started it, I clicked on CyberLink YouCam and the machine worked. I even took a picture with her.

  If the webcam was working before, it may be "stuck".  If this is the case, then a reset can throw everything is free and you'll be "back in business" in a few minutes.  If the reset does not fix it, there are a few more options.  Stop when it works.

IF someone could provide an exact solution to the problem, thank you. I would be very happy. I want it to be especially for that model if anything.   my hp 2000-2b80dx had a useful piece of tape holding the connector... I have snugged it upward and now everything works fine.  Terrible design.

  Data NON-Windows 8 driver for the webcam,

  1. probably not, unless you can find a one-size-fit-all driver

  2. it's your money, your decision. If you want to use the webcam and no support for the old webcam, only way to go.

  Have you tried to use the Windows 7 driver?

  Thank you for your message.  After searching for your webcam, I don't see a Acer driver updates; and compatibility with Windows 7 does not list that compatible webcam as seen HERE.  You can, however, try to install Vista driver to see if it can work.  However, there is no guarantee to this method.

  I recently updated my laptop DV2222tx from Vista to Windows 7. After the upgrade, I lost completely the use of the webcam.  The webcam was even not found on Device Manager while it was working perfectly before under Vista.

  HP does not provide driver webcam for windows 7.

  Wonder if anyone has experienced this problem and solved, I really appreciiate your help and instructions.

  I tried all the instructions according to the link you kindly provided. I still couldn't Windows 7 to see the webcam

  Finally in a last thing, I have expanded each of each device listed in the Device Manager to see whats inside. When I expanded the USB controller, a usb webcam appeared listed. Click on it and let windows updated the driver from the internet. After 5 minutes, windows has detected the hp webcam.

  Device Manager now shows the image and the webcam device.

  Now, I have to make it work with Skype.

  I was on the stable Windows 10 latest version for a while but decided to try Insider last generation 14267 to see if it solves a problem I've had with start menu search.   I'm at school and exams remotely via a Chromium-based program that uses Flash to record webcam. With the construction of the initiate the webcam (lifecam cinema) is to give the empty output, even if it is detected. Sites that display webcam in flash with the same problem, but only in black. I'm on the last flash 20.0.0.306 stable and tested with Chrome and Firefox.

  In the edge browser, it works fine. Looks like Edge uses a version of flash that is different (21.0.0.110). I downloaded the beta version of flash 21.0.0.157 that has not fixed the problem.

  I tried to reinstall the webcam driver with no luck. The new generation of Win10 has not updated the driver, so not sure what is happening. The camera works in other applications of basic without flash.

  If you need me to run all tests or need information more just make me know. Do go back to the last stable version of 10586 resolved the problem for me on Firefox and Chrome, even if strangely now I see the same thing on the edge with the stable version. Flash on Edge version is 20.0.0.306, like Chrome/Firefox. Camera detects, but it came out only in black.

  Fixed! Driver uninstalled lifecam (last of 9/15) which he returned to a former Microsoft 2006 driver and now it works. Strange because I tried a previous pilot before that 2015 which was still broken.

  BTW, just noticed it's broken on Skype is not a Flash problem, I think. Thank you!

  Which helped a lot, but I still wouldn't say hd well because I can still get pixels and if you use the maximum resolution, then the audio and video are out of sync.
