HP update hangs for 14.301.0

I have an a909g wireless officejet pro 8500 with software version 14.301.0 which I just installed XP Pro SP3 32 bit. HP update crashes each time it tries to run.

the information I have on the crash is as follows:

AppName: hpwucli.exe AppVer: 5.0.12.1 ModName: hpwucli.exe
ModVer: 5.0.12.1 Offset: 00009cff

It is the 0xc0000005 error code, that is, if I remember correctly, an access violation (programmer error).

the offset in the executable file where the error occurred is 0x409cff, this can help the programmer nail about where the error is, perhaps to what function.

my understanding is that I still have my some of my 3 years warranty of wextended support on the left. some systems (such as the phone) in HP argue that I don't have.

Firefox seems to have crashed on me when I ran the HP "detect" plugin. Lately, it seems all of hp crashes. It is the nature of the developmenmt of the software cycle... but don't try to eliminate bugs. Thank you. Software got MUCH longer things, never used to be, so there is more likely to find errors. I understand this problem. Difficulty please, thank you.

Oh yes, when you try to display a message if you are not connected, the forum of the web site hp gives an unspecified error. so I run into errors everywhere. Maybe it was too long a question?

Please try to reinstall the HP Update software from the link following (latesst version of HP update)

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=HU-74441-8&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=228&Product=3892964&sw_lang=

This update will remove your existing installation of HP update and will be replaced by the latest version.

I work with HP, but the comments are mine.

    Hi Chris,

It would be great if you remember to do it when you return, there is no problem for me to wait before the end of the month.

I'll catch up with you then.

    Kind regards

    Chris.

Hi everyone who has problems with the installation of patch number KB2770816 especially those with a Medion computer. I had this problem since early August and contacted Microsoft. They worked on my PC in the last two days and have now to rectify the problem. They will post how to solve this problem in due course. The information on the pages of the community regarding the evolution of the registry entries are incomplete. Until the correct information is available, I would recommend that 'hide you' this update to avoid delays when you restart your PC, etc. After you installed the updates. I can not praise Microsoft technicians quite strongly on how they have dealt with this problem for me and would recommend others to use its easy when things go wrong.

  • Update hangs on XP SP3 (KB2183461)

    Thank you.

    Hi randdeck,

    1. are you able to work on the computer after the update hang?

    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

Try to download and install the update manually, check if it works.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and try to install the update.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    I hope this helps!

  • Cannot install successfully: a security update Cumulative for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista (KB2482017)

I got this update listed in my window of results for several weeks.  I tried to install it several times.  Once the update is completed, I get the error code 80073712 listed.  I already followed what I could find:

I ran sfc/scannow in regular connection and safe mode.  It is said there are files that cannot be repaired, when I watched the news I had no idea what I was looking for or for.  Aside, can note I simply delete the .log file and start with a new one?  It looks huge with dates that goes back a long time.

I can't locate all files named pending.xml anywhere on my hard drive to delete as I've seen it mentioned.

I tried directly download and run wua to no effect.

Have also tried to run the system preparation tool

I suspect, is that it has something to do with having to reactivate windows (correct term?) after a failed motherboard had to be replaced.  At the time when everything seemed to go smoothly.  I called, got the code and he came, and everything looked good.  I even had a few updates download successfully. I still get updates as defender and silverlight to install correctly.  It is this one in particular that hangs for some reason any.  Looking at the history of update some installed previous failure listed another KB article and I guess updates are "stack" that I continue to understand this?

I have a Vista upgrade disc that does no sp1 on it, I have improved at the beginning and you read what to do a repair installation will not work with an earlier version.  I would really, really not to wipe the hard drive and start over if all this is is some files that I've screwed up somehow.

    Any suggestions?  Thank you!

  • Win 7 Pro 64 install, after good connection install & internet Microsoft Update hangs forever

A failed hdd on HP 6515 b required new hdd & install Win 7 Pro 64. After the proper installation & connection internet Microsoft Update hangs forever. Otherwise the computer works fine. We need .net updated for special application.

Unfortunately, this happens to a lot of people lately.

    Windows Update problem (new)

The following procedure applies in the case of installation (reinstall) Windows 7.  It does not apply to a usual, normal day.

I'm afraid that you will do the reinstall again.  Not a terrible penalty to pay.  Usually takes less than an hour.  Then immediately proceed to the next procedure.   It's strange, but it really does work and many people have proved it.

NEVER install anything other than Windows updates until your system is up-to-date.  Once you have the list update, install all together.  Installation of updates in batches is not expedite the process or do better.

    1. Before you begin to re - install, download (32 or 64 bit) KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance and store on a USB
    2. Start and end the re - install Windows 7 SP1
    3. Before that the newly installed system can go online for the first time, Disconnect the computer from the Internet.  This chronology is essential.
    4. Install KB3083710 and reboot manually.
    5. Install KB3102810 and reboot manually.
    6. Restore the Internet connection, and run Windows Update as usual.
    7. After a few minutes, you should have a lot of updates to download and install.

    Thanks to Ken Morely

Note: Use caution when installing codecs that you find on the Internet, in particular some of the free codec packs that claim to include codecs from a wide variety of companies or organizations. Incompatibilities are known to exist with some of the components in these codec packs that can cause serious playback issues in the player and other players, lead to the corruption of the system and make it difficult for Support from Microsoft to diagnose and solve playback problems. For these reasons, we strongly discourage you from installing these codec packs, and recommend that remove you them if you have installed them and you are having problems with the player. Install only codecs, filters or plug-ins from reliable sources, authorized, such as the website of the official supplier. Even in this case, beware: some codec suppliers offer minimal customer. Before you install the components of digital media, set a system restore point. The restore point to go back to the configuration of your system, if necessary.

  • 16 Firefox hangs for a minute to access some Web pages, I think that they all use Flash

I installed Firefox 16.0.1 yesterday. I was running 15 earlier in the day and it was fine. However, 16 FF started suddenly hanging for about a minute when I try to access some Web sites. It thaws fine after this minute, no crashes or anything like that, but it is very irritating. From what I can tell, it seems to do this on pages that use Flash. I have the latest version installed, and it made no difference. I tried downgrading to 15 FF and it's always the same. Anyone know what is happening?
    Thank you
