  • Add the function of scan for Officejet 4500

I have a HP Officejet 4500 G510N-Z (wireless) which is used for copying and faxing.  I need to add the analysis function but do not know if I have to uninstall everything and use the CD to reinstall.  I remember well, the center of Solution kept defective, and Geek Squad reinstalled just so I could copy and fax.  In programs & features, the HP and HP Imaging Device functions 13.0 solution Center are listed, but there is no info under 'size', and when highlighted, nothing happens when I click on uninstall.

Can I use the CD for just activate the scan function?  If not, where is the instructions to uninstall everything in ones 'level 3' as I've heard of?

    Windows 7 64 bit

    HP Pavilion g7-1310

    Thank you.

    Hello jcb1919.

Uninstallation of level 3 are on the CD supplied with the printer. Explore the disc and look for the "util" folder Then inside this folder find the file 'ccc '. L3 you mentioned is located at the bottom of this file. Be sure to unplug and cables USB (if you use) before the uninstall. I hope this helps.

  • Link to printer (fax, copying and scanning) drivers Windows 8.1 for OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z

    Hello:

Need to know where I can find the updated drivers for my printer OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z.   I use the Windows 8.1 operating system.

I tried to use the link at HP, but to the point that it supposedly gets to the install window, it asks me to insert the disc that came with the printer.  When I do this, I always get error message saying something like "the link is not found."  I also have another message to some bridge indicating that the full version must be downloaded.  Then, the same process is repeated.   I should add that the disc from the printer indicates that it is compatible with XP, Windows 7 and other earlier versions, but not 8 or 8.1

I tried 6 or 7 times with the same result.  Dell (the company who bought the laptop) was unnecessary and suggested to contact HP.

I can no longer scan, either, because the computer is not recognzing the printer has a function of scan, so when I go to use PaperPort 12 to analyze things, it recognizes that a printer is connected.

Any help to solve these problems would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello

The disc is not provided for Windows 8.1, don't forget to download and install the printer using the following installation program:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=MP-109545-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4158&product=3986399&sw_lang=

If the same problem persists, follow these steps to resolve:

1 open the Mcafee Virus and Spyware Protection software you are interested in, click on calendar and perform analyses. Click analysis in real time, and then click stop. Select until I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the button turn off.

Now, try to reinstall the HP software and check if the installation goes as planned.

If the problem persists, continue following the steps below:

    2. open the dialog box run by clicking on the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type %windir%, and then click OK.
    3. type hpoins*.dat in the search bar at top, if there is that no result rename the extention in old instead of dat. (e.g. hpoins1.old)
    4. type hpwins*.dat in the search bar at top, if there is that no result rename the extention in old instead of dat. (e.g. hpwins1.old)
    5. start the Run dialog box by clicking the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /Unregister. in the Run dialog box and click OK.
    6. launch the Run dialog box by clicking the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC/REGSERVER in the Run dialog box and click OK.
    7. run the installation file and check all difference.

  • Network for Officejet 4500

My situation is similar to MaryGibson81, in which she refers to «...» Officejet 4500 Wireless - MacBook install with USB, but can't find it on the network... ».

My Officejet 4500 is connected to the network, but in the configuration of the process, I got a message that our laptops with Mac OS 10.6 (and 10.4) were not connected... but I checked that each was connected.

Therefore, we can print only with the USB connection to the printer.

What part of the plant do?

    Thanks, Mike

    Print Doc,

I finally got to Hewlett Packard staff (saying that I did not use a Mac).

Finally, I was connected to a Karen who helped me to understand that there are several versions of the driver that are installed with the CD supplied with the printer. One is for USB connection and another for the wireless connection.

The wireless connection is characterized by "Hello".

The manual (which was supposed to be installed from the CD but I got online) makes no mention of this fact for systems Mac operating; However, the manual mentions that there are different versions of the USB drivers and Wireless Windows operating systems.

Just a little more in detail in the installation instructions would have saved a lot of time and effort on my part and the part of Karen to explain what is not explained in the manual... and to print Doc!

    Thank you very, very much!

  • Windows 10 for Officejet 4500 driver

    Hello

I've updated from windows 8.1 windows 10 and after my windows activation, even once, I did a clean install of my windows.

After a successful installation and activation of windows, tried to install the printer driver using the driver windows 8.1.

Installation began, but after the detection of the printer, it hangs at 'check' HP scan interface 2 to 92% and stays there... I tried your solution given in your website and forums as the restart and everything, but nothing works. I have my printer connected via an Ethernet cable with my router.

We need drivers for windows 10 for HP officejet 4500 G510 series printers. Impossible to find on the pilot and Web site download page.

I don't understand, how a Prime Minister like HP business fail to update their drivers with a new version of windows? It's just not cool.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • OfficeJet: pilot for OfficeJet 4500 / 10 Windows

I had to reset my Gateway Laptop due to update Windows 10. It resulted in a complete loss of programs on the computer. (data seems to be ok) Loss of program included driver for HP OfficeJet 4500 G510g-m.

try to download the results of the pilot in a product for Windows 8 or 8.1 Windows; then after a few minutes, a box of said msg: unable to load the software. Any help much appreciated.

    Hi @JimEblen

Can you ensure that your Windows 10 updates are installed and up to date?

As long as you have selected Win 10 on HP site, it must download to win 10, so ned not to worry if it says otherwise.

    Hope that helps!

  • No drivers for OfficeJet 4500

HP reinstalled my OS, and there were a few changes, I had to fix.  One was the appearance of the XPS (?) printer as my default printer.  What?  I need to reinstall my HP OfficeJet 4500 as the default printer.  BUT, it is labeled as defective because it does not have a pilot.  Can't find one on the internet, and at the same time, I think I was told that there was no driver.  In the meantime, I can't print; cannot know how the XPS printer is managed and don't really care.

Here is the link for the driver, just select your operating system.

  • Installation for Officejet 4500 disk crashed in Acer Aspire E1-571

I have a laptop Acer Aspire E1-571 with Windows 7 64 bit and has recently purchased the officejet 4500. I used the disc that came with the printer to install the software and during this process, an error box emerged which didn't say anything other than "error". Then I was asked to restart my computer and do, my computer could not restart and had to start itself in system repair mode to correct everything that had happened. It works fine now, but I don't know if I should try to install the drivers from the HP website or not, because I would not let this happen again.

I did not at all connected USB and configuration was going well until the error message occurred.

  • How to change the DPI for Officejet 4500 Wireless settings

    Printer: HP Officejet 4500 G510n wireless (CN547A)

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

My DPI settings seem to be too high.  I'm scanning a single page and the file is 21MB in size.  I can't find how to reduce the dpi.

Is it possible to do it on this device?

    Thank you.

    Hi zulwe,

You can adjust the DPI and PPI parameters depending on the program you are using. Because you are using Windows as your operating system, you can have this printer Officejet HP solutions Center. Check this box: scanning with HP Solution Center software in Windows

And no, we cannot do this on the device. It can only be done through your computer.

  • OfficeJet 4500 Mac OSX 10.6.4 reset printing system... Why did I not do it?

I recently had someone whipping out my Photosmart old cable and not being not not a particularly brilliant rabbit I pressed "Reset printing system" and have been regret since then. OK, so the Photosmart, smarter than me, being refused to work. I have a Deskjet F2280 in the same office then rigged up to my Mac, and when it worked, I came to the conclusion that I must somehow induced a "software conflict", (love the sentence don't you make me see all sorts of internal battles going on in the bowels of the machine... but I digress), so did what would do any other not-so-bright Bunny and , deciding it was time I treated myself to a new printer, whipped at my local store - not so local, in fact, 60 miles away - and bought myself a new brilliant Officejet 4500 G510g-m. Well, he asked know? Same problem - does not work. Says that there is an error in the print queue, but is not much more useful than that.

Okay, so I get my wonderful Mac-mate who knows everything about Macs and computers in general etc and he said, 'Remove the p-lists' if that's what I did. the same problem.

Then, he says, "repair disk permissions"; If that's what I did. Same problem

Then, he says, "Re-install the software"; If that's what I did. The same problem.

In fact I did all these steps about four times over the next five days, but constantly face the same bloody sentence in the print queue. It is said he sends print data to the printer but does not ever happening, and finally he gave up and place comes 'Mistake' again.

Now, this friend of mine knows EVERYTHING, so when I called him then, and he said, ' ol chap ' Frank sorry, you're on your own ", well, I can take a hint as much as the next chap...

Now, anyone out there have a go at getting the damn thing going?

    Yes, quite slow.

It is strange that he did this on USB.  I assume that you do not use a USB hub and it is directly plug it into your Mac?  Have you used a known good compatible USB 2.0 cable?

  • Can't fax Mac Maverick for Officejet 4500 documents

    Hello

I can't fax my Powerbook Pro docs because the fax driver is not installed.

Work fax doc is fortunately accepted, but nothing happens. When you check the fax printer Q I was informed that the fax printer driver is not installed. The text of the info recommended run ASU (Apple SW Update) or talk with the supplier of printer.

USS tells me there's that support pages no new SW. HP tell me to use ASU.

It's great if the installation of the printer is fully automatic, but if you mess up your customers are turned off worse than using a manual installation.

The fax printer driver is available for download somewhere?

    Thank you.

    Hi Azzurrow,

I can certainly help you with driver fax for the Mavericks. Please complete all of the steps below and let me know the result.
