HP xw6200 workstation - cannot get to BIOS with F10 Setup screen

HP xw6200 workstation - cannot get to the configuration screen of the BIOS with the question of the language with F10.  Because of a mental lapse, I turned on the SATA RAID Option ROM.   System fails to start on the C drive. It turns out that the system has an Adaptec 1420SA SATA HostRaid map three discs. I see now three readers at the start after I enable readers to show in the Adaptec utility. Two of the disks are configured in RAID 1 Boot on the C: drive.  He could not see the third disc in Windows Explorer, only the C: drive.

At startup by pressing F10 I have only three options:

1 Ethernet Boot Agent

2 RAID Adaptec Configuration utility

3 Intel RAID for Serial ATA

My question is "How to get back in the BIOS to achieve the Advanced tab to disable the RAID SATA ROM Option?"

This article is similar to your problem.  I would try to clear the CMOS memory.  If you open your PC, you should find a rider to move that will define your CMOS to default values.  When you move the jumper, let up for a minute and then bring it back.  If you can't find the jumper then try to remove the CMOS battery for a minute then replace.

  • HP Pro 3515: cannot get into BIOS with 3515

I have tried for two days to ge in the BIOS but failed. None of the traditional keys happen to me. After much fumbling I managed on the basis of two times get the configuration screen, but could enter the BIOS. In the installer, I chose to accept default start, but for a long time my boot process was not quite normal. I always get a press F1 to start down in the lower left corner of the screen; I don't know why that happened. If I go ahead and press F1, it starts and runs normally. I wonder if it has something to do with UEFI?

Here is a notice that I found on the specifications page.  Does not appear to describe your problem?

  • HDX18: Cannot access the BIOS with F10

Try to access my BIOS to set the boot on USB device sequence. Can't!

Power and press F10 repeatedly does not bring me in the config of the BIOS beeps fair to me when my keyboard buffer is full and then continues in charge of the operating system.

Never see option to press the keys to access BIOS either.

Thanks for trying to help out.

My system is a laptop from earlier versions of Windows 8 (2010) and MUST have posted the option to enter in the configuration at the start, but didn't. I had previously improved OS 32 bit to 64 bit - who created another folder Program Files, which in turn have brought masses of disk space. I then upgraded to Windows 10 and did not like the slow, he ran then, I wanted to install a clean Windows 10 and created a bootable USB device. That's when I found I couldn't access the BIOS to change my boot device.

After trying everything I could find without success, I started the machine and once Windows has loaded, I pressed the SHIFT key and select restart. This brought me to the screen Menu UEFI. I went to watch each of the options - no led me across a good kind, I moved back to the main menu screen and clicked on continue - go out and continue to load Windows.

After getting a black screen, I can FINALLY see the option - press ESC to enter Setup... Hooray!

    Problem solved - for now!

  • Satellite L70 - A - 13P - cannot get into BIOS after the BIOS setting password?

    HI, Satellite L70 - A - 13P

I set up a password user and supervisor. Works very well. However, I can't get into bios. If I press F2 as usual, I have the box "enter password" (the same as for normal startup). After you type the password for the supervisor, computer continues initializing and do not get into the bios!

I keep the key pressed F2 but nothing works.
    I also tried ESC, F1, INS, F12, 0.

    Help.

User and supervisor password the same?
Have you been able to get into the BIOS in the past?

Proceed to a complete stop and restart the laptop. Then try with F2 or F12. When you will be asked to set supervisor password and I hope that you will be able to enter the BIOS settings.

  • ThinkPad L460, cannot get the BIOS through WMI settings

We used the official instructions and VBscripts Lenovo to set up the BIOS on the laptop ThinkPad T440, T450, L440 and L450 via WMI. It worked well for a while now.

A few weeks back, we received our first batch of portable computers ThinkPad L460 (with 10 of Windows), and I went to check and update the scripts of BIOS. The first thing I tried was to get a list of all the BIOS settings, the use of the ListAll.vbs script (available from the link above) and then through the PowerShell commands listed in the PDF (skl_deploy_01.pdf).

On previous models of ThinkPad the ListAll.vbs script would return a long list of avilable BIOS settings (or "configuration items") as well as their current and possible values. On the L460 that it returns nothing, not even an error message:

    C:\temp\Script>cscript ListAll.vbs
Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host versjon 5.812
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. Med Enerett

    C:\temp\Script >

This isn't the same performance you'd get if you run the script not elevated command or on a non-Lenovo computer. In these cases, the output looks like this:

    C:\temp\Script>cscript ListAll.vbs
Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host versjon 5.812
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. Med Enerett

    current value =
    possible settings =.

    C:\temp\Script >

I found an old net on the forum describing a similar problem and suggesting it was caused by a third-party software or a customized image of Windows, but the issue is present on both W10 Pro portable computers L460 stocks provided with images, a clean install of W10 Pro version 1511 (ISO downloaded directly from Microsoft) and images of company W10 custom of my organization.

I tried upgrading the BIOS to the most recent available (1.13). That did not help.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be the cause? We received a pretty low amount of laptops L460 so far, so it's kind of feasible to configure all the parameters of the BIOS by hand, but I prefer not having to do once the laptops start to arrive in large numbers. It is both a waste of time and error compared to the configuration script.

  • Cannot get on Internet with computer Vista, getting 169 ip address

We have a problem with Vista my boyfriend. He said that everything was working fine yesterday, and then we left for lunch. He thought that he turned off the computer, but when we came back he was and would not connect to the internet. We first thought it was a bad cable so went out and got a new but no change. I also tried to use the cable from another computer but still can't connect. We get a 169 ip address and the network shows as Public unidentified network with limited connectivity. We have tried to change for private network but always presented as identified and unable to connect to the internet network. I'm sure that yesterday we have a 192 ip address and the address of a default gateway and succeeded to another computer on the network but still could not get on the internet, but failed to get the IP 192 today. I'm confused, what is happening. Help, please!

More information - Vista computer also has a wireless adapter that when activated, it works but we have the connection Ethernet also works. I tried to connect with the mode safe mode with networking, but get the same thing. I thought to reset tcp/ip, but given that the wireless adapter is able to connect, does that mean tcp/ip works on the computer and running that a fix would be a waste of time? I don't want to do anything that could screw up the wireless adapter. Ethernet is on board so that it cannot be let go and need to reinstall. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your reply. I tried to remove the network adapter from Device Manager and allowing windows to reinstall but it does not solve the problem. It is a desktop computer. I started to think about how the cable could have been pulled and could have damaged the Ethernet port and was going to ask you what the lights where the cable plugs into the Ethernet port average. It's a green light solid with a yellow flashing light next to him. I decided to shut down the computer and blow the Ethernet port with compressed air. To my surprise, it works now! Although your answer directly does not solve my problem, it helped me not to do things that do not help and he will think the Ethernet port and what could be wrong with it.

    Thank you!

  • No boot/cannot get into bios after the withdrawal of the dvd player.

    Hello

My dvd player is broken and I wanted to exchange it with another. But the computer does not so old is removed. It only shows the boot logo, but it does not continue, and it is not possible to enter the BIOS.

This happens with and without the new disc. That's why I thought that it is not a compatibility problem.

Someone has an idea of what I can do?

    My laptop: Toshiba S-1800-514

    Hello

as you have changed the drive in a new, was the new drive the same as the old or that you have purchased a better?

When you start Notepad and the Toshiba logo seems to be at - it something to do with the laptop. As (F12) or enter the BIOS boot options (ESC and after this F1)?

What appears when you changed the old rear drive? The laptop works?

    Keep me posted!

My sister-in-law comes from him gives his mobile wife, (the wife passed away). Says I need administrator or boot password. Can't the same Bios I tried all troubleshooting. F keys do nothing. I have a Windows 7 disc, but can not go to the Bios so that it can begin. Help, please! Compaq Presario CQ57-339WM. tried everything. System off Code 71697032

    Hello

    You are welcome

There is a general policy on the Forum do not provide methods to bypass the Windows log-on passwords, but a local computer store would be able to do it for you.

Another option would be to reset the laptop to his "factory Condition" and then set it upwards from the beginning - if you do not have a set of recovery media, the laptop are shipped with a recovery Partition which is accessible at the start - that is to say stop the laptop, then start typing away at f11 as soon as you turn on.

  • I cannot get my webcam with MSN, no other program

Original title: Toshiba Chicony Web cam

OK, so my computer missed me, but I fixed it by reinstalling windows vista Home premium, before my webcam has jumped over the side of the screen.  Now, my webcam works for msn but I can find it anywhere on the computer to use indeed outside of msn.  It used to be on the left side of my screen now, it's gone!  I know it's there, because it works for msn :|

Anyone know where to find?  And how I would get this back on the side of my screen?

    Hello

Reload the device drivers and the software.

Control Panel - Device Manager - Imaging - write down of the brand and the model of camera-
Double click on it and on the tab of the driver version. Now, click on update of drivers (which may
do nothing as MS is far behind the drivers of certification). The RIGHT CLICK on the camera
-UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it will refresh the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver of the camera and other partners
the camera software (if not more recent get the same).

Just you'd go to Toshiba Support and get the driver for your model laptop.

    Go to your model.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp?NAV=download

Good time to get some other updates here.

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each
    pilot.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities in
Windows updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it won't install drivers
who will be generally older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver can
HIDE (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if you wish.

  • Cannot, enter the BIOS with the F1 key.

    Hello

I tried to install Mac OS X recently (10.7 Lion on Chameleon 2.1 RC1 16xx with iCloud patch), and the installer crashed. Now when I boot my ThinkPad I press ENTER to display the boot options. When I click on F1 or F12 ThinkPad not responding when I press enter or ESC, it will do what it must do.

I've got "CMOS reset" error after restarting after the failure of the attempt to install Mac OS X. I know that sometimes, Mac is reset CMOS (I have a PC with Mac and it works well).

I can boot Windows 7, but I can't the configuration of the BIOS.

I had the supervisor password (I remember ), maybe that's the problem.
