HP250G3: Ibernation and suspension on HP250G3

Hello, I have a question on my new laptop (Win7 64 bit) HP250G3, who was not able to go to suspend mode before I installed the graphics driver from HP site.

Unfortunately, when restart the PC, the "NT Kernel & System"process starts to use 50% CPU (on a dual core) when any following to suspend attempt, winter or stop the ends of the pc to a PC lock on "waiting for system shutdown.

I found more than a pilot graphical interface IntelHD, which is correct?

I also installed the driver for the wireless card, I have not installed any other driver.

Is there a solution for this problem?

Sorry for my poor English and thank you very much! Please help me!

Maurizio

Hi all

I would write the solution I have found for the problem I described above, I think that it could be useful for anyone with the same problem (and I found many of them on the internet).

The computer didn't go to mode 'sleep' (it was disabled) before I installed the graphics driver, but then after the first wake up mode 'sleep', the process of "NT kernel & system" begins to occupy the CPU and the pc is not going to sleep, or shut down properly more. This is due to the operating system that tries (looped) to call a component that is not respond due to having spent in sleep mode (so it isn't a virus in the pc or it is a problem of Windows7, as I read in other forums).

The cause of it is a lack of drivers, but who are the right drivers? You need to go into Device Manager (right click on computer--> properties--> Device Manager) and check if there is no unknown devices. Click on them, go to properties--> details and then select "hardware id": you will find a digital code which you have to type on the internet (for example on http://pcidatabase.com/ ) to find out what is that material. Then go download the drivers and install them, for each unknown material that you find. In my case, the missing pilot was a chipset driver (I think that I had installed a fake). This solved my problem.

I hope I was helpful; Please correct me if I'm wrong and I thank you once again!

    SRM does not add any capabilities of demand for NetApp mise en veille (or another provider of table). SRM monitoring, can trigger and in some cases reverse replication, but it is not change/impact how replication is running.

    If you perform a scheduled migration (or a failover of DR and MRS can communicate with servers SRM & vCenter protected site), SRM will replicate storage, turn off the system VMs graciously and then happen again so it is not necessary in these cases of app-compatible replication.

  • Hidden, Visible and back to hidden with the help of a radio button

    OK, this could be really simple for a person to answer.

    I have an option button that I use to switch between two list boxes with multiple lines of text (so visible and hidden). Here's the problem, when I switch the radio back and forward button, I have two list boxes displaying their notes at the same time. I would like to have the option button display a messages both when you switch between them. Here is my script.

    Radio Button named Violation:

    Form1. #pageSet [0]. Page 1. .Act of #subform [0] [1]. Violation::click - (JavaScript, client)

    If (this.rawValue == null) {}

    Notes.Presence = 'hidden ';

    }

    else {}

    Notes.Presence = "visible";

    }

    Radio Button named Suspension:

    Form1. #pageSet [0]. Page 1. .Act of #subform [0] [1]. Suspension::click - (JavaScript, client)

    If (this.rawValue == null) {}

    Notes2.presence = 'hidden ';

    }

    else {}

    Notes2.presence = "visible";

    }

    Notes and billets2 are list boxes. Violation and Suspension are radio buttons. Is this correct? If so, are Violation and Suspension in a group of exclusion?

    This is the requirement, breach should view Notes and hide billets2 and Suspension must hide the Notes and display billets2?

  • no support for dv6768se

    No update for the dv6000 BIOS

    Careful, HP has turned to deception. I bought thousands of dollars worth of HP products. I recommend the purchase of HP in my official duties as a Director of engineering. However, I was disappointed by the performance and support in all cases. I have two machines where I couldn't write media to recover. The most recent is with my Pavilion dv6000 laptop. It has the problem of restarting which may be related to problems of overheating GPU NVidia. This is known issue and HP must have decided to let go without worrying about the goodwill of its customers.

    The details for the latest incident are:

    Seeking support, I called a number found on the site of HP. I was charged for the support of a partner HP from a foreign land only to make things worse.

    They say that when I called HP they Mobile is unsupported and is obsolete. So, why is me she charged?

    My flag will not re-start. The symptoms started he did a software update from Microsoft. The update restarted my system and suspension system. After a stop forced (pressing the power button for 5 seconds), I had a soft recovery screen. I did a restore and it restarted. It hung again. This time, the indicated recovery screen I couldn't move forward and to contact support.

    I tried to get it back to the factory setting. This has seemed to work until I did the updates and tried to restart the machine. It hung again. I made the diagnosis of HW, but diagnostic tests indicated no problems. Analysis of disk of Vista also no problem.

    Before I looked for support I found that instead of restart, if I made a stop, I could limp thought enough of the upgrade to Windows 7. However, the question remained, and she seemed to be associated with HW. That's when I called HP support.

    First of all, I told them (ITechLine) was associated with HW and I didn't not need remotely diagnose my machine. They insisted so I spent a day watching a tech do the antivirus scans and scan disk. Later, they said they had solved the problem, but the technology that has been doing Diagnostics admitted that the original question seems HW and remains.

    How I got the number of ITechLine from the HP website. May have been my mistake, and a better number could be found on the HP website. The loss of time can be, I think, a concealment deliberate by HP.

    Later, I called enough people at HP (even in a foreign country) to find the HP had decided to abandon the support for my laptop and I couldn't support or portions of their share for this machine. The person said that the technology was obsolete. It is also darkening; Since a SATA drive for this my machine could be found for less than $50 and would have more than twice the capacity. In fact, I could buy a new memory 2 GB SODIMM, a new hard drive and a new battery for less than $90. Phone support charged $149.

    I have a few web searches to find the GPU NVidia overheating problem was probably the cause. Then, I disassembled the laptop to clean the cooling fan. The reboot problem was considerably reduced. I can restart 5 out of 6 times, which leads me to believe that it is the GPU overheating problem.

    However, now I can't use the optical drive to start the Windows 7 support. It does not show in my computer. Also, I can't write recovery media using the internal optical drive. I knew it is the bios, because one of the stages that I found on the web had to reset the cmos to the original. I see that is not the most recent. By going to the HP site for the update of the bios, I find that they no longer have the update and my machine does not get detected by their auto detect process. Forgot it that they did the laptop.

    So, I have a laptop of brilliant almost new look that will not work and is unsupported. It is obsolete, even if the State of the industry has not really progressed for laptops. It is Wi - Fi enabled with a large screen and could run all the latest SW until 5 days ago. It is too light to be a doorstop good, so it is useless. All I can get from HP is denial, disappointment and a dress (with a foreign accent).

    Being an EE, I thought that HP a tester has been great and that HP would be able and honorable. It's the end of an era.

    Someone know where I can get the free bios update? It's not worth spending a lot of money after bad to pay for a service update of the bios.

    It is a forum for users of peer-to-peer support for HP products. HP maintains no official presence in this forum. It is unlikely that HP will respond in an official capacity. Response of an employee of HP represents his own opinion and not that of HP.

  • Clean Windows 7 install hangs during expanding windows files

    well, so that's what I've done so far, I have downloaded the kit of the student digital river, I originally ran Windows xp 32-bit, so when I ran first the exe download, it gave me the error of not being able to record in a single folder to read and what not, but I followed the suggestions on the forums to move forward a burn on a startup disk expandedsetup folder in converting it to an iso, which I did, I installed the first time but missed the option to format my hard drive so my old files were still there, however, once got installed win 7 I wasn't able to connect to internet for some strange reason and I couldn't understand it, so I decided to take the 3 files I downloaded originally from digital river and try their unpacking on the 64 bit OS now I had installed, it worked fine this time without any errors, so I moved the folder expandedsetup to my laptop and he burned them on a dvd as before, this time I boot from the dvd and do a clean install, it installs again very well, but once I login in the OS and I am getting started with things once again everything is grinding the long, I tried to restart and it does not work, this time it froze just a black before the paper screen, so once more, I started from the dvd and tried to do a clean install, but this time, he begins to hang during the part of expanding windows files, so I decide to make another disc using the second expandedsetup folder thinking that perhaps a new one was a bad burn, this does not work either, it takes about 14% of full on the extension of the windows files and then he told me that the files is not found, so I tried the second drive once again, we only got 4% until it gives me error on files is not found , so I put the first early in and try and suspension 4% right now and I expect to give me the same error, I have really no idea of happening, there are too many variables, but I tried to evaluate each of them, would be - this related material? my computer is compatible for win 7 64 bit, I ran the Upgrade Advisor before you buy, so I know that my hardware can run it, I think it's my dvd drive or the hard drive, but they both seem to run fine otherwise, any help would be appreciated

    Hello Impoc,

    Thanks for posting on the Community Forums of Microsoft Vista.

    Installation may stop if the system cannot copy files. Here are some possible causes and solutions for this problem:

    ·     Your Windows installation disc is scratched, smudged, or dirty. Clean the disc with a soft cloth, insert it in the CD or DVD drive, and then start the Windows installation again. If your installation disc is damaged, you may need to replace it. For more information, go to How to replace Microsoft software or hardware lost, broken or missing on the Microsoft Web site.

    ·     Your CD-ROM or DVD drive is not working properly or the disk might be vibrating too much for the laser correctly read data. For more information about this problem, see your hardware documentation or contact the manufacturer of the CD or DVD drive.

    ·     If your computer has multiple CD or DVD drives, your computer may attempt to locate files on the wrong drive. If your computer has a feature to disable CD or DVD drives that are not used, turn off readers that you don't use. Otherwise, try to insert the disc in a different drive, and then restart the installation.

    ·     There is a virus on your computer. Run an antivirus program to scan your system and to identify the necessary repairs. Don't forget to disable the antivirus before you start the installation again.

    Also, it is usually caused by hardware or software that is not compatible with Windows 7. If you have this problem, follow these steps:

    1. wait 10 minutes to see if the installation continues. Look at the led on the hard drive (often a small light on your computer that blinks when your hard drive is running) to see if there is no activity. If your hard drive seems to be working, the installation must be current. If your hard disk doesn't seem to work, go to step 2.

    2. If the installation fails again, it may be a hardware incompatibility problem. Go to the Windows Upgrade Advisor on the Microsoft website to see if your computer can run Windows 7.

    3. If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary hardware. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

    If you have more than 1 Memory stick on your computer, try to remove all but one RAM stick and try to install Windows 7.

    If the computer still stops responding during installation, you may need to contact your computer manufacturer or retailer to check if the computer is compatible with Windows 7.

    Note: This article is related to Windows Vista. However, you can follow the same steps with Windows 7.

    If the installation fails after following the steps above, try to note the exact error message and provide the same.

    It will be useful.

  • Suspension and dequeuer AQ

    I'm messing around with AQ right now (in appearance, to learn it). A test, I filled the queue and executed DBMS_AQ. DEQUEUE twice with the default wait forever. The first retrieved the message, the second is waiting for a new message, as expected.

    I opened another terminal and tried DBMS_AQADM. PURGE_QUEUE_TABLE, to see what would happen (give an error, or work in any case) and he ended up waiting. So, thinking I just needed something to get things moving, I tried rate another message (wrapped in a FUNCTION called in a SQL statement), who also finished the hanging.

    Now I'm confused. Shouldn't be able to queue while a dequeuer awaits. Or have I missed something?

    Probably better to ask questions to QA QA Forum.

    user4900730 wrote:
    The INSERT will wait forever?

    Yes - the lock has been created by the 1st session needs to be released. This is done by a commit or rollback - or something like kill this session which will result in an automatic cancellation.

    Remember that it is an application problem. Oracle must simply ensure that the primary key is not violated. It is the application that has decided the how/what/where/when to insert the data.

    The only time where Oracle will intervene in this regard is when it detects a deadlock. It is an infinite hung - so Oracle will select one of the sessions involved in the deadlock and kill him. This lead to a cancellation of this session and will allow the other session attached to continue.

    This error is stored in the instance's alert log file and a trace file is created - and also marked as an application problem which must be solved at the level of the application.

    If yes then I never need to test the duplicates on the VALIDATION. If the waiting is over and oracle allows session B to continue beyond the insert (with the record inserted in homogeneous image read B) so if one commits before B Gets the commit B can get a PK violations on validating DUP?

    No, a process can continue pass a lock. She can try the lock with "+ no waiting +"-in which case when he fails to lock, it will not be queued for the lock, but rather throw an exception.

    You must decide at the application level, how you're going to deal with this. You wait for access to the line of change/insert? You use without waiting? This framework is an architecture decision. Client-server standard with a dedicated dynamic customer, you can expect. With a Webmail client-server having a customer without a State, you cannot afford to wait.

    It is much simpler than in other Oracle databases. Readers do not block writers. Writers do not block readers. Writers can only block other Scriptures when pretending to write the same data (rows). Thus, you should only have to worry about writing the data of same (and no lock escalation, or readers, writers, etc. of blocking as is the case in other RDBMS products).

    Is there any place in the oracle documentation that deals with this.

    [Concepts of Oracle® database | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14220/consist.htm#i13945] has a section on to data concurrency and consistency.
