HP620 boot windows 7 USB

Hello

I have a HP620 and I need emergency assistance in the start-up of windows 7 from USB because I can't access the START menu, either the BIOS settings.

What can I do, thank you.

Here are links to the two versions of W7 Ultimate... I gave you the English version, since you don't specify what language you need.

2147483647 English Windows 7 Ultimate x 86 X 17 - 59463.iso of http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/Win/X17-59463.ISO

2147483647 English Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 X 17 - 59465.iso of http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/Win/X17-59465.ISO

Make sure you get all the 3. XX GB of the file to download.  On rare occasions, it reports full download, but you do not receive the entire file.

After you download the above file, use your option ISO burn program for burning DVDs to burn the ISO on a DVD that the DVD is bootable.  Burn the DVD at the speed of slow burning you can.

  • Cannot boot windows from usb after installing linux

    Hello.
I bought a laptop (lenovo g500s) provided with windows 8. At the beginning, I decided to try linux and I installed Linux Mint for a few months.
But now I want to install Windows 7 and I already have the. ISO burned on my USB key.

When I start the USB is not recognized. And who does not come with linux distributions, I've been able to start without problems.

I think it has something to do with UEFI, but I'm not sure.
If I choose Legacy support, will not read USB. If I choose the UEFI, it says something about IPv4 and IPv6 on the trunk, and then an error occurs.

Someone has an idea of what it could be?

    Thanks to all who responded.

So, I just had to burn the. ISO with the compatibility of the UEFI.
Secure boot was already off for me, so it was fairly easy to start.
    Now, my windows is running!

  • Windows 8 USB Bootable Disk

    Hello world

My partners son has a HP Pavilion Notebook 15-e005tx. The hard drive has failed. It is out of warranty. I got a new hard drive but I obviously need to create a bootable USB drive to get the laptop going again. This laptop came pre-installed with Windows 8. I understand that the product key is encrypted in the BIOS and I wouldn't be able to see. The computer on which I would create the bootable USB running Windows 10. When I try to run the installer of Windows 8 I understand that he will ask the product key of Windows 8. I also understand that Microsoft can verify the version of Windows, the computer is running and that the key of the corresponding product. How can I get the product key for the computer laptop 15-e005tx so that I can boot Windows from USB to get the laptop going again. Unfortunately he never made a recovery disc so I'm a bit stuck.

    Thanks for any help

    Hello

Yes, you are correct that Windows 8, product key is previously injected into the chip/BIOS and not provided to users physically. Thus, it is difficult to recover their form the computer.

You can try to contact the manufacturer of your laptop and see if they can help you to recover the product key or to buy the key. To do this, you can see the article mentioned below.

  • ENVY of HP dv6-7246us SSD Upgrade, problem Windows 7 installation with boot from a usb/dvd drive.

    Hi all

I recently bought the dv6-7246us and have updated for one SSD HARD drive. The problem I have now is I can't boot from usb or dvd drive that contains the Windows 7installation. Initially, this laptop has a HDD with Windows 8. I changed the boot order to boot from the USB drive and the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive several times and have still no chance to start to the top of the installation. Is there a solution to this problem?

    Thank you

    Robert

    Hi, Robert:

Go you into the BIOS and change in legacy Mode?

I think that you need to do in order to boot from another device other than the hard drive.

original title: install windows xp without CD

    Andrea,

First of all. You cannot reinstall Windows XP without CD.
Second, a download of Windows XP isn't illegal, I don't think you will get all the answers here to know where to download a copy of Windows XP.
Better call the computer manufacturer instead.
    See you soon ~!

    Hello

We will determine if your PC can not even boot from USB devices.  Plug the USB and turn on your PC.  When you get to the HP splash screen, then start typing the escape key to bring up a boot selection menu. If you do not see the USB device then your PC can't boot from a USB device.

If your PC does support booting from a USB device and then read this MS post article.

You always have the option to start Windows Defender from a CD or a DVD.

  • Pavilioin P6710f: Changing Bios then boot from a USB flash drive

How can I update my bios to enable booting from a USB Flash drive. My bios is American Megatrends 6.07, 04/05/2011 and the only options are CD, hard disk, floppy. Is there a way to change this? To test the Windows 10 repair disk I created, my system froze to the blue screen "choose" keyboard layout. I couldn't use the usb mouse or usb keyboard. As a result, I had to restore my system to windows 7 using my Norton Ghost recovery disk and backups that I had done before downloading windows 10.

After the opening of the bios and clicking on the hard drive by default, I found that I had a choice, including the USB Flash drive that I have pugged just forward to restart. This answered my question. Thanks to everyone for their contribution. It was not necessary to Flash the bios after all.

  • Portege A100 PPA10A - update the BIOS to boot from a USB device

    Hello

I have an old Portege A100, model: PPA10A-0002LP, but I can't seem to find this model on any Web site of Toshiba, closest I've seen is the "PPA10A - 0002 L'.

I am wanting to know if there is a BIOS update that will allow me to boot from a USB device.

The question I have is that I need to reinstall Windows, but the CD ROm cannot read disks.
This network PXE boot, but I'm new to this sort of thing and have absolutely no idea what to do here.

    Any help would be great,

    Thank you

    Hello

Portege A100 seems to be developed solely for the Australian market.
As you say it is a model number Portege A100 PPA10A - 0002L listed on the Australian page of Toshiba Portege A100 PPA10A-0002LP belongs to the same series which is PPA10A
So in my opinion, the BIOS should work too.

Anyway, I doubt that the BIOS update will add boot options.

Usually the BIOS supports booting from CD/DVD drive, drive HARD, LAN and USB FDD.
It should be possible to boot from a boot disk using a USB FDD drive.
I doubt you'd be able to boot from USB WEIRD since this Portege A100 supports an internal CD/DVD drive.

  • Satellite M40 - 244--> Boot from a USB

    Hi all

I have a Satellite m40-244 with a DVD player which unfortunately is out of service.

I would like to know if it is possible to boot from a USB key to reinstall Windows or Linux. In the BIOS there only HDD, floppy, CD-ROM, and LAN drive options.

Does anyone know how to boot from a USB? I tried an external USB DVD drive, it does not work. I don't know if I'm doing the right way.

    Thank you.

    Hello

As far as I know that of not possible because the M40 BIOS does not support this!
As you mentioned in your ad; There is only one option for booting from the HARD drive, ODD, LAN and USB FDD (floppy)

    Greetings

  • Re: Boot from external USB HARD drive Toshiba 320 GB (MK3259GSX)

I have PC (Windows7, SATA HDD, without CD/DVD drive), netbook and Toshiba External USB HDD 320 GB (MK3259GSX). Can I boot from the USB HDD? (to install OS or diagnostic tools like Memtest, MHDD etc..)

    I tried:
1 format USB HDD, create the FAT32 partition and make active, copy the files, for example, ISO image of Windows 7 (I also tried bootsect/nt60), but when I reboot and choose from the menu of boot USB HDD it stops after "Verifying DMI pool data".
2 Grub4dos (http://grub4dos.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page), but also had nothing after verifying DMI pool Data given.
    3. If you want to install Windows 7, I tried this tool, http://store.microsoft.com/Help/ISO-Tool, but it did not find my USB HDD.

    Sorry for my English.

Has your computer laptop USB boot option?

Anyway, is unclear to me that you can use this disk external DRIVE for the installation of the OS?

  • How to boot from a USB - Portege R500 flash drive

    Hello

I have a Portege R500 running Windows XP, presented about 2 years ago and recently contracted a virus that has infected some of the startup files as the minute I connect it disconnects again, even in SafeMode! The quickest way I can think sorting is to reformat with the XP Recovery disk and reinstall windows.

Problem! The CD/DVD drive on the computer laptop stopped working earlier, tried almost everything in the thread on this site, but had no luck.

So my plan was to boot from a USB flash drive and do it this way. However in the boot parameters I only have the options of HARD drive / floppy drive / CD-ROM / LAN, none of them work. Does anyone know how to boot from USB flash drives?

Any help would be really appreciated

    Hello

As far as I know, it should be possible to boot from USB FDD

I don't know if you would be able to boot from a USB flash drive, but it of certainly worth a try m

Generally, you can try to press the F12 key when the laptop is turned on.
A start menu should appear on the screen, then you should see all bootable devices.

PS: as far as I know the USB startup was available in ToshibaHWSetup (tool of Toshiba which changes the settings of the BIOS under windows OS.) So I guess boot from USB must be possible.

    Welcome them

  • It is possible to boot on the usb port?

    Hi all

I would like to know if it is possible to boot on the usb port? I have this message "NTDRL is missing" at the start, I guess I have to reinstall Windows on the machine?

Furthermore, I would also like to sell my laptop (configuration: 1, 00 G/2 X 256 PM / 40 G/12XT/LM/W). How could I wait fot his laptop? Where can I sell it (it's so hard to sell such a laptop).

Thank you very much for all your answers...

    Hello

When you get this message it means that the file Command.com has not been found. Or because he is missing from the boot drive, or your startup drive does not work. The file could also be destroyed because of a mistake. Command.com is used on versions of Windows that load on the BACK as Windows 3.0, 95, 98 and me. Command.com is not used on NT, 2000, XP. They use the NTDRL file to load. The BIOS reads the start section of the reader to know what file to load. If the system is on the NT platform and you get this error, then the boot sector is damaged or the hard disk is damage.

Well, you write t n what kind of phone it is. How will I know that means this unit cost? I put t know this model.

Nevertheless, you should check the prices on Ebay.

    Good bye

  • Laptop Presario CQ62: SETTING THE BIOS TO BOOT FROM a USB STICK

I need to set the BIOS to boot from a usb key. The options in the BIOS are
    BOOT CD-ROM
    Startup disk
    Internal network card

    And in the boot order:
USB disk on key/USB hard drive
    USB CD/DVD ROM drive

    Portable hard drive

    USB floppy drive
    Internal CD/DVD drive

! Network adapter (but it says that the ability to start will be disabled if the device is marked with an exclamation point, which, in my case, it is)

A question who should I set to boot from a usb flash drive which has the operating system that you want to install Windows?

I tried boot F9 options, but it gives me two options:
    Portable hard drive
    CD/DVD drive.
No drive Flash Drive or USB in the list options.

Then he said: press F10 for BIOS Setup Options. That's why I'm trying to see what to implement as boot device in the BIOS boot options.

  • Iconia W700P - need to access bluetooth keyboard during the boot UEFI or need to boot from a USB

Solved a problem, now face two other:

The W700P will now boot from a DVD recovery Acronis TI, but to select the restore function (then the specific restore backup), it requires an entry for a keyboard. The Bluetooth keyboard supplied with the W700P does not work during the boot sequence. I prefer not to go out and buy a USB keyboard, but it is perhaps the only option.

    Or-

The W700P boot from a USB key can stick? I read that this is impossible, but in looking at the Acer store, that's all they offer as recovery media for the W700P. I made a bootable USB key, when I bought the computer first, but I can't seem to start. All I get is repeated boot Acer screens, maybe he's trying different options in the boot order. I tried to change the order, put a password for boot and secure boot off, but I still have the same question.

    Any ideas?

Solved once and for the moment! I now have a USB hub, USB, USB and DVD USB mouse keyboard (powered externally). Throw all these things on the machine, I was able to boot into the Acronis Recovery DVD, go to the menu and reinstall a previous backup of Windows 8.1.
