HPE - 170 t updated POWER/GPU block to optimize performance

Hello

I did a lot of research lately on the upgrade to the best video card I can for my HPE-170 t. The vehicle currently has a HD4850 which I pre-configured when you purchase.

  • Intel Core i7 - 860 quad-core processor [2.8 GHz, 1 MB L2 + 8 MB of cache N3 shared]
  • 8 GB DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM
  • 1 TB hard drive 7200 RPM SATA 3 Gb/s
  • 1 GB ATI Radeon HD 4850 [2 DVI, HDMI and VGA adapters]
  • Drive Blu - ray & DVD SuperMulti Lightscribe drive
  • Wireless N network adapter
  • Player 15-in-1 memory cards, 1 USB, 1394, audio
  • No TV Tuner
  • Creative Sound Blaster X - Fi Titanium

I understand that I need a bigger PSU Corsair POWER supply and a more recent video card are a favorite and will not have a connection because of the research.

I find that shopping for a video card extremely difficult. What I've read, because of limited space in the case or the design of the motherboard would fit any short video cards and the better IE approximately 8 inches in length. However, very few shops post dimensions for their online maps and is difficult to get an idea of their size. I really don't want to buy a card and have try to return, because he is not fit and then repeat the process. It also becomes painful pouring through comments from the user to see if they mention size and mounting. I limited my search to the AMD models because my current card is a HD4850 and thought that the transition is transparent due to compatibility/drivers, etc.. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong and would be open to both nvidia cards.

So my question is this: does anyone know which video cards do not have a problem in the connector? Budget no problem and am willing to spend money on a high-end card and power source appropriate for performance as long as the card I buy will fit and function from the beginning.

Hello

Basically I have the same case with my e9280t with respect to your HPE-170 t. I also had the original ATI 4850.

Consult this publication document for more information.

In general, you want to keep the video card minimum 10 ".

Sapphire AMD Radeon 6850 and 6870 would be good choices.  The adjacent slot on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be open (see above).

You may be able to get the 7870 Sapphire to adapt.  It's a card 10.25 "but for sure, you will need to measure. It's also a lot more money. ($350)

I use a Corsair HX650 but CX600 should work for your needs.

See this comparison between the 4850 and the 6870.

So, any suggestions on the new video cards less than $200, which will be more apt to little and works as easily as possible? Thank you!

OK, I got my new video card, to be exact of it:

    http://www.Amazon.com/XFX-250E-800MHz-graphics-R7250EZNP4/DP/B00JM5XX9O/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

It works like a champ! Took me about 5 minutes to install the card physically and 15 minutes to install all drivers and updates.

So far so good - everything seems OK, so if anyone is looking for a video card for this configuration, it worked for me.

  • Pavilion Elite HPE-170 t: problem with the new HP DH16D5S DVD ROM drive

My office is a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-170 t.  I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  I have two HP optical dirives, one is a writer, and the other is just a DVD ROM  Both have always worked perfectly with Windows 7.  After you have installed Windows 10 continuous burner work very well works correctly with autoplay.  However, the DVD - ROM, HP DH16D5S, immediately began using autoplay.  Actually the drive was not yet recognized as a drive when you view the drives in the file Explorer.  Finally, it would seem, sometimes taking also longer than 5 minutes or more before doing so and then would work very well.  I tried different types of media, including music CD, DVD video and DVD software with the same results.  I assumed that it was a problem with the drive, maybe a bad capacitor, etc., which was originally not start correctly.  So I ordered a new DH160D5S, but which seems to have been a waste of time and money, because it does exactly the same thing as the original.  I even changed the cables autour between it and the burner, but it made no difference.  The burner still works fine but not DVD ROM.  I tried to find a more recent driver for it, but had no chance.  I found on a Dell website for this drive which was an update of the firmware for Windows Vista and Windows 7, but not for Windows 10.  I advanced and downloaded, but when I tried to run, I got the message: "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update.  Update has been canceled. »

I want to try a different brand of DVD ROM, but would have to buy one without knowing if it would help.

    Any help will be appreciated.

Since I posted this message I discovered that there is a driver problem with this DVD ROM.  There's no driver available yet to make the drive compatible with Windows 10.  Since then, I returned the drive and replaced by another brand that is compatible with Windows 10.

    Hello:

I have the AE3000 on two of my HP business offices.

It has good reception and never had a problem with either of the units.

    I have a 2-story house with a finished basement.

My Linksys EA 4500 router is on the second floor.

One of my desltop of PC's in the basement.  The AE3000 on it, you get 4 bars of reception on the 5 GHz band and 5 bars on the 2.4 GHz band.

Connection speed is 324 Mbit/s (out of 450) on my PC of basement on the 5 GHz band.

Connection speed is 216.5 Mbps on bandwidth 2.4 GHz because I have this band the blended value that allows (wireless B and G) to connect legacy devices.

It works fine on W7 x 64 and x 64 W8.1 (using the drivers W7 on the CD).

It also comes with a 3' USB cable attached to a docking station so that you can position the camera somewhere for better reception.

    Hi Ron68PB,

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

2 are you able to open other programs?

    3. do you get error messages or error codes?

    Method 1:

You try to run a SFC scan to check the corrupted system files.

You can read the following article to launch the SFC scan:

  • Need to update the header block

    Hello

I have an obligation to update a field in a header block if the value of the derivative is taken with the NULL value. So in the calculation logic that I put the field update the property as it is TRUE and get the value and then set the property item to false.
It is to throw the error "you are not allowed to update... ». The block header updateable property set a no. I put that Yes, no error occurs. But if I put it Yes, user will be allowed to make changes on the ground as and when he likes. This cannot be allowed.

Is it possible to achieve my goal without changing the overall property of the update of the block header Yes.

    Thank you
    Sikora

    Hello
    what you can do is
Property update block set global header is set to 'YES' and set each updatable property to point to the 'NO' and 'YES' to the item you want to update the property update and get input from the user.

  • Pavilion Elite HPE-170 t: need help with the result of a command prompt to Power Options

I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 in Windows 7.  Like so many thousands of people, I problelms of sleep mode.  Mine will not be auto-sleep.  It has been suggested that I saw to run command prompt: powercfg-applications

It supposedly will list the items running on your computer which can now be auto-sleep to work.  I tried several times and up to now, I get the same item displayed each time.  This is what is displayed: \device\harddiskvolume2\windows\sysWOW64\svchost.exe (hpqddsvc) is followed by this message: a file delete operation is underway

My first thought is that if there is an operation to remove file in progress all the time, it's maybe the reason why my computer is not auto-sleep.  If there is someone out there who can shed some light on this situation, I would appreciate the help.

    EUREKA * SOLVED

I found the answer to my problem!  After using the control system: powercfg-query and get the answer: \device\harddiskvolume2\windows\sysWOW64\svchost.exe (hpqddsvc) delete file operation is in progress

I started looking for whatever it is associated with the answer above.  In the Manager of tasks in respect of the services, I found the name of the file hpqddsvc, with a description of HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service was running.  When I stopped the task and re-tried in opt power standby mode, it worked correctly.  In the Configuration of the system (by typing msconfig at the run prompt) on the Services tab, I unchecked the box for HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service and rebooted the computer.  The service is no longer running.

I'm sure that this Service has been added to my computer when I downloaded the hp.com/support product detection tool .  The tool scans your computer to detect and identify HP products.

This can be useful to others who have the problem of the auto-sleep I've had.

Hello, I plan on upgrading my video card have little time, but I realized that my diet is only 460watts

My question is what brand/type of power supply would be compatible for my system?

It is simply a very illogical response since it must be upgraded

    Raster,

I thank very you much for the detailed information! 460watts is not bad, but because of the

size of the computer case I was running into overheating problems when the games that has been

very frustrating since it leads to intensive graphics applications of freeze-up and me being forced to do a cold reboot all the time.

So in addition to be prepared for the latest video cards I also wanted to add

fan on top a new PSU to get enough air flow to prevent this problem of evacuation one PCI-E.

Looks like I got a wide range of choices now so I figure I'll get out the old one and measure the dimensions

to make sure that I get the right fit. Thanks again for the quick response, it is much appreciated!

  • HP Pavilion series HPE h8-1227: try to update my GPU for my pc

So I tried to solve this problem with my computer, where when I install a new graphics card (I tried several and no luck) currently im trying this graphics card (MSI GeForce GTX 750Ti GAMES DirectX 12 N750Ti TF 2GD5/OC 2 GB 128 - Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x 16 HDCP Ready Video Card) it work I can't access the bios on my computer so it does not either my computer crashes. I was hoping that someone could help me with this and getting this card to work.

    @Brendan1234, welcome to the forum.

Your problem is caused by the fact that all new after the 660/670 GTX video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  MSI has a card equipped with a switch that allows to work with a legacy BIOS or UEFI.  I suggest that you choose a manufactuer and contact their Technical Support to help them choose the best card for your system.

  • Bootcamp AMD update / update of GPU said always up to date.

If this is not a new installation and I don't have an apple update in a long time. I mean... For a long time, so today when I saw the soft software update Apple pops up saying that I had an update, I'm super excited. I installed the update first graph (after you have uninstalled my previous gpu driver). It is installed, and then he said that it was an update of bootcamp ('supports 5 k on windows, addresses the problem of blocking' etc.). I installed as well. Now she she wants to reinstall the GPU drivers. I moved and you did... Now, he wants me to install the bootcamp update. I did it once again. Now, he wants me to redo the GPU DRIVERS. Alright... and now we are back to it asks me to install the bootcamp update. What is going on?

In addition, these drivers seem to be kind of old. The driver date says 09/02/2016. In Radeon settings, he calls the 15.11. These are former pilots.

    I use an iMac k 5 from 2014. GPU is AMD 295. Windows 10.

    Save me LonerT!

Having this same problem too, same system configuration (2014 5 k iMac, 295 AMD, Windows 10), only I didn't first uninstall the previous driver GPU. 09/02/2016 are the new drivers of Boot Camp from Apple standards. I think that the previous engines have been since October 2015.

The update installed an AMD Radeon settings in the status system in addition to the AMD Catalyst Control Center bar. Everything seems to work fine graphics-wise... the only problem is with the infinite loop put up-to-date problem with Apple Software Update.

    Hello

All manufacturers of graphics cards to State generally the power of power supply recommended for a specific model of the graphics card.

The HP e9280t I got is basically the same as your HPE-180 t. I used a Corsair HX650 PSU with the NVIDIA GTX 550 TI or the NVIDIA GTX 660 TI in my HP e9280t.  GTX 660 it would be your best bet and you should be able to run most of the modern games in normal game settings.  An SSD would add some extra oomph to the PC boot time and data loading time.

  • HP Elite HPE - 580T: PSU Update / replacement for HP OEM

You are looking to upgrade the 550W power 460W PSU OEM and have had no luck in finding a power supply that works with the card MOTHER IPMTB-TK (Truckee). It seems that newer power supplies feed the correct required ATX12V Pegatron MOBO. You want to know if there is a recommended after market PSU that will work with this MOBO.

    System Specs:

    HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 580 t; Intel X 58 Express; meomry 24 GB of RAM; Core i7-950 3.0 GHZ; 2 x 1 TB RAID 0; GTX 460; Integrated 7.1 sound

Please let me know if an upgrade is possible and if recommended PSU

Update: found a PSU that will replace the current OEM PSU (Antec BP550 Plus).

PSU OEM specifications required 3 rails of + 12V in order to work and the Antec BP550 Plus corresponding to the criteria of tension with greater rail intensity to meet the requirement of 550W.

  • No satellite C70D-B-10U no warning (power, GPU or capacitors) diet

    Hi all

excuse the new thread, but I have not found the answers online, it's just speculation and it's for the different models.

So I have a C70D-B-10U Windows 7 pro 64-bit. When I formatted and updated all, it just kept crashing when you try to play videos on Windows Media Player. I cleaned the inside and replace the thermal compound, even more recent drivers updated and started using VLC as my default media player. It crashed it rarely, BUT it always does when I try to start playing games (Nothing heavy - League of Legends). Laptop seems to do well with the tests of memory, without defects found.

I read that this could be due to:

    • Faulty GPU
    • Defective battery
    • Defective power supply
    • Bad capacitors on the MOBO

Someone at - he had a similar experience? I reinstalled Windows and it's the same story. If it's a motherboard problem, I guess it would be better to just get a new one?

    Thank you

Update: I decided to test the RAM, and it looks like he can't handle 8GB. The 4 GB glue work on any site, but when I have it on the machine, it crashes. Don't you think it's a motherboard problem?

  • HPE h8-1036de: update of the graphics card (an ASUS / NVIdia GTX750Ti in a desktop HP HPE h8-1036de)

    Hello world!

Thank you for reading this post and help me.

I am trying to build a new graphics card (an ASUS / NVIdia GTX750Ti) in a desktop HP (HPE h8-1036de) PC.

    The PC beeps at startup.

I guess that the card is powered (note that this is the 4 GB card and has no extra powers to him, it is just the power directly from the motherboard).

I think the problem lies in the BIOS, but I don't knopw not how to proceed. Here are some questions that can help me:

    BIOS:

    1. can you recognize the BIOS the card automatically, or the card needs to be entered in the BIOS somewhere?

2 - is the BIOS comes with this support of the computer the card (I read in the forum that one old BIOS may have this problem, but there is not always an update of the BIOS from HP)

    3. How do in complete BIOS? (By pressing F2/F9 seem to just go into 'mini-menus', not a 'real' BIOS.)

    4. it is the BIOS configured to operate with only some graphics cards?

    OTHER:

5 is the (GTX750Ti, 4 GB version) grahics card compatible with the motherbaord (IPISB-CH2 (Chicago)?

Does anyone have an experience that will allow them to share?

    Thank you!
