HPE 190 t: will HPE 190-t support a 3 TB internal hard drive

My main hard drive failed on my Pavilion Elite HPE 190 - t. I bought a toshiba 3 to int. HD to replace the original and I see only about 800 GB of total storage space. I have a second 2 TB drive and it shows the amount of entire storage.

Is it possible for me to get full use of 3 TB drive or am I limited by Truckee and 529 bios motherboard?

Hello

You need a complete UEFI BIOS to support a hard drive 3 TB as a hard drive to boot and your PC does not have this level of BIOS.

However, you can use the HD 3 to as a hard only to data if you format GPT.

The best situation is to use a hard drive that is less than 2 TB and is not a model of advanced format.

The hard drive was an external hard drive and I removed the cover must be installed on my PC, but it has worked well for more than 5 months so far.

I would like to reuse the hard disk without losing any data.

  • My M30 304 will support a new 160 GB HARD drive?

    Hello

Problems with Windows at the moment so I was going to reinstall. But think I can replace it with a larger HARD drive (160 GB Seegate) - my M30 304 will support it? Only was told to check if the bios would support it?

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Simon

    Hi Simon

The info is right on BIOS support. The new Toshiba notebooks have HARD drive with a maximum capacity of 100 GB and I really put t think you will success with 160 GB.

If you buy the HARD drive and it doesn t work usually you have 14 days to return the product. Talk to your local dealer.

    > 4. If I run the Toshiba Recovery CD, it will seize and reformat the whole disc or only the first partition WinXP?

Well, if you have an older version of recovery which provides two options; standard recovery and recovery expertise, so you could choose the partition on which the operating system must be installed and ONLY that partition is erased and formatted.

But if you, recovery CD doesn t contains options then the recovery CD will format the entire HARD drive!

    So be careful

  • Equium A100 - will be the responsibility of recovery on a new HARD drive disk

    Hello

Don t know if anyone can help, I am just out of warranty by a month and I think that my hard drive has failed, or I had a virus that has hit loads of files and the PC is always eager to run the disc scan and still get errors on commissioning, sometimes start even goes just right to start mode then crash again and again the same thing.

I have the recovery disk, but this is not sort on the question, so if I get a new hard drive the recovery disc will actually load on a new HARD drive? Why don t Toshiba just give us the full operating system to start with?

Someone has answers or similar questions that could help please let me know.

  • Qosmio X 500 supports a Seagate 1 TB HARD drive?

    Hello

I plan to replace my second HDD with a Seagate HDD of CFonstellation.2 with 1 TB of capacity.

I have not seen if it is compatible, but it is only a HARD drive relatively new.

Part of my concern is that the new HDD Seagate is 13 MM thick rather than the existing HDD that are only 11 MM thick.

    Someone at - it advice?

    See you soon

According to specification HARD 9.5 mm drive height but I think 13mm should not be a problem. I think there is a little space and it should work.

In my opinion you should order this HARD drive and test it. If there is some problem send new.

It will be nice if you can send comments. It may be useful information for other owners of Qosmio X 500.

    Hello

    1. do you have backup data normally or by using the Windows backup feature?

    2. are you able to restore the data in your computer? If this is not the case, what happens exactly?

Try the steps in this article.

  • Try to restore supported files on an external hard drive.

I have a Windows VIsta operating system that crashed this past year.  But just before losing, I used the center of restoration with the Windows backup utility to back up our files.  I supported it up to an external hard drive, Toshiba (E :).   I see the backup of my files on the external hard drive E: but when I go back to Windown backup and Restore Center to restore the files (even with the attached external hard drive) the restore program is not recognizing backup. I am trying to extract the files to my new hard drive.  Pls note that I didn't simply copied and past.  All files are compressed in a Formate of backup on the external drive.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?
    2. you receive an error message?

    Method 1:
You can see detailed information about how to restore the files from the link below.

    Method 2:
You can also perform a SFC scan and verify that you are able to perform the backup.
The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

Even after running SFC scan if you are not able to perform backup then you can check disks for errors.

  • New HDD in my Dell INSPIRON N5010 laptop, will I go to 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM HARD drive

I bought the DELL N5010 laptop about 4 years back, and currently it is more under warranty.
2 days back my hard drive crashed and could not start or install the OS as there are bad sectors on the hard drive has. I plan to buy a new hard drive.

Which one should I go for a 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM. I would go to 7200 RPM, as it is faster, but I read on the internet that the 7200 RPM generates more heat then 5400 RPM and my laptop is already facing heating problem. I had replaced the fan about 2 months as my laptop used to close because of the heat. The problem of heating has not changed, but laptop does not stop :)

Anyone using the DELL N5010 laptop with a 7200 RPM HARD drive and he's fine?

Any kind of recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Sach

Thanks for the recommendation. The sales in the shop man also recommended the same thing. I bought Seagate 5200 SSHD(Solid State Hybrid Drives) which is still better than the conventional hard drive. :)

  • Pavilion HPE - 533 sc: installed new graphics card. Hard drive stops

In order to improve my graphics performance for games that I invested in this graphics card:

How fitting the screen stops at initial HP logo and "press ESC to start menu.

I can also clearly see that disk hard fails or starts the Windows 7 Edition operating system home premium.

I am running Nvidia GT 630, and back on this card machines works well again.

It just loks like the new graphics card prevents the hard drive to run.

All attached cables (power cable 6 pin) and locked firmly into the PCI slot.

Is it possible that the new card draws so much power that it prevents the hard drive of the race?

When you press ESC, it seems that the hard drive is registered in the Bios.

This nvidia gtx 950 is better? It seems to be more the size of the one I have - nvidia GT 630. Link shows specifications.

I'm not familiar with current PC for sale, regarding upgrades.  Since is considered a new HP, try looking at the list of options on the HP website.  Most higher end PC have the options that you choose before buy you, to customize the generation.  Choose a model with options that match your criteria now and notice the upgrade options - write down them - to avoid confusion later.  OR go with a customized version, but this could mean significant spending.  It is the hand off the coast between prebuilts and personalized.
