Hi SP4047,

As long as you are still able to use the functions of the printer must no reason not to leave this option disabled at this stage if you stop smoking will pop up messages. It seems that the operating system has trouble starting the service correctly. I would like to know if you are able to use the printer for all your printing with this option disabled needs?

  • "NTVDM. EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close"error after installing the update of security KB2707511

After you install the update of security KB2707511 when I try to open a ms - dos 16-bit program, I get the following error: "NTVDM. EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have a lot of customers running a 16-bit MS-DOS - program that receives the same error.  It seems not to be a malware problem, as it is homogeneous across many machines (unless, of course, all have the same problem of malware).  By uninstalling the KB2707511 and the KB2709162 they all work. Something in these updates is in conflict with something in these dos programs causing the "NTVDM. Erorr EXE'.

    Hello

Thanks for joining us out on Microsoft Community Forums.

    1. are you aware of changes to the computer before the show?

    2. What is the model number of the device?

From Lifecam software "Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"error message.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2027807

    Method 2:

Put the computer in a State of boot is a way to know which application is causing this problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

Step 1: Follow the steps in the link below to do the same thing:

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as shown here:

Step 2: To configure Windows to use a Normal startup state

After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    a. Click Start and then click Run.

    b. type msconfig and click OK. The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    c. click on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    d. When you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Hope this information helps. Get back to us if you have more queries about Windows.

  • dmwu.exe has encountered a problem and forced to close.

All the minutes I get dmwu.exe has encountered a problem and forced to close. I updated Trend micro antivirus and it found nothing. The problem has been ongoing for more than a day and malwarebites, error-checking systems, and analysis updated antivirus cannot find a problem / fix.

The problem is Google Chrome, some parts of it have been either damaged or corrupted or maybe even deleted by me at some point. Chrome could not save my settings and I found in the settings there is a box you click so it does not run in the background even if Chrome is not actively open.

In any case, I re-installed Chrome and the message stopped since then. The computer works perfectly now.
Thanks for your help. It really helped me refine the possible culprits, the origin of the problem.
