  3. then download the software on the HP web:

  •  HP Officejet 8600 - drivers and full software features - Windows 7 64 bit

  4 and install with the downloaded software.

• BUG: Open with option missing for M4A / ALAC files (OSX)

  I just discovered this bug incredibly frustrating just starting to work with M4A / ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio aka) files. Right click on a such file and by going to the "Open with" menu, hearing is absent from the list. However, manually opening the same file via by dragging the icon of the hearing or the program while open, or even via the command Open Audio in Audition all work fine. These M4A files are converted directly from iTunes. This forum works hearing CC 2014.

  After some research, I found out the reason why. The file Info.plist inside the Audition.app-> content file is apparently not a section of CFBundleTypeExtension for M4A files. Open that file and search for "CFBundleTypeExtensions." You will see a bunch of entries for this type. In fact, this piece of information tells OSX what file extensions/types can open hearing.

  Save the file, restart the computer or rebuild Launch Services database and restart OSX and viola, now when right click on a file M4A, hearing is an option!

  What I want to know from the Adobe developers is, why is this update option missing in the menu 'Open with' first and will it be fixed for the hearing?

  We record every extension we can open.  Many of the extensions that we support are "discovered" during the launch at various libraries installed and plug-ins, we wonder what they take over.  For example of formats supported by QuickTime may change with different QuickTime components install you, and the formats supported by AudioToolbox can change with versions of Mac OS X.

  The extensions that we even do not match in the dialog below.

• VIRUS - black screen, no option for "start task manager" cant open anything

  Hey guys I've been on some * site and got a nasty virus. Here is a description of the virus:-black screen, can't see anything other than a small icon of a box of standard application, when I start in safe mode I get the words "safe mode" in the four corners as normal, but still nothing but black screen. -When I press ctrl + alt + delete it goes to the normal screen, but there is no option for "start Task Manager" it's all the other options. (happens also in mode without fail. - If I push the main Windows Start menu appears for a brief but disappears quickly, I can't click on what whether you or I see nothing other than this black screen with this small peak of an application.) I can't access the registry or run programs. What should I do? I tried to launch the win 7 pro install disc, but when I click on 'repair your computer', he says that this disc does not match your version of OS.   When I get timed out at level 3 of the game, a window opens stating I can go to 'options' in the menu start and change fashion casual., except 'options' are not in the start menu.  I went to Playrix and Xbox, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and options is still missing in the menu.  Xbox gave me a toll-free number to use, but I thought I'd try first online help.

  Not sure why a program error would be referred to Xbox. It's something that was missing in the way of original game when it was out. This is not a conversion to windows games problem. Options disappeared forever...

  Yes, you are missing the two options that are usually on top: 'open in a new tab' and 'open in a new window '.

  I guess that it is an extension or a wild theme. You can easily test that by starting Firefox with disabled modules: issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode

  I ran the windows updates last night I shut down my computer.  I remember it being about 12 updates to run.

  Windows Vista, 32-bit

  This morning, I rebooted my computer and during the loading sequence, updates continue (the non-graphical part) and then I got a BSOD.  I tried to run all the security modes and got the same message.

  I ran repair my system disk and got the message that he could not repair the version of windows.  I tried a system restore, but it said I had no save points.

  In the end I solved it me - so if someone runs into similar codes - here is the summary:

  I ran Windows Update.
  On reboot the part of the update that runs in non-graphical mode full - then crashed by the computer.
  I got BSOD screens whenever I tried to boot in any mode.
  The specific error code is 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x8264CB56, 0x803998CC, 0x803995C8)
  I tried the repair disk installation process - which could not find anything.
  I couldn't do a system restore point, because they were all gone.
  I called Microsoft - they were very nice, but their only solution was to re - install which was not possible for me.
  I downloaded and created a boot cd on another computer that could run antivirus software.
  The disc has been call BootCD Secured2k - there is a forum on the Mcafee site about this.
  I used it and found a Patched - atapi.sys trojan that he removed from the case.
  (Reading between the lines - this thing has been disrupted by the Microsoft Update that caused the mess)
  Then I got a new problem starting with the error code: 0x0000007b 0x80399bb0
  Same problem of being unable to boot in any mode.
  Same problem of being useless installation disc repair.
  After leaving it for a few hours, it occurred to me that perhaps when atapi.sys, that Trojan has been deleted the file was so.
  I connected the command line available from the installation disc advanced repair options.
  ATAPI.sys had indeed disappeared.
  I used the X:\windows\system32\drivers\atapi.sys and copied on my C:\Windows\system32\drivers.
  And presto! -my windows starts with happiness and everything seemed to work.
  (Why can't notice of repair of microsoft one missing disk or messed up file atapi.sys?)

  Unfortunately a few days later I noticed the Windows updates not working and I couldn't go even this part of the site.
  I tried everything I could think of and failed.
  So I called Mircorosoft again.
  We spent an hour on the phone and they found the problem this time!
  I used OpenDNS as my DNS provider for performance of problems caused by Time Warner.
  For some reason any OpenDNS blocking any attempt on my end to reach the Microsoft Update sites.
  I went from Microsoft recommended DNS and my computer was happy again.
  Everything has been happy since.

  And just to prove that I learned my lesson - I bought Norton Ghost and tries to configure full backups regular since the system restore point says that it don't work for me (I have a vista upgrade a XP Home machine on a FAT file system)

  So:
  Secured2K bootable anti-virus CD (and you can run other analyses of viruses such as PA recommended wear)
  If ATAPI. SYS is removed or bad - I copied it from the disc command prompt install.
  If you Microsoft updates stop working and you can't reach their windowsupdate.microsoft.com - check your DNS.

  Windows 7 question: when I try to ad hoc implementation network to share internet I don't get no option to choose share internet or not that I get on my Vista laptop. Although I am successfully able to share the internet connection from vista to windows7. Just to add normal sharing is fine (files or folders). But may be missing or configured incorrectly on the machine of win7 I can't share my internet connection.

  Is your laptop running Windows 7 Starter edition?

  If so, you must upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium to a minimum in order to set up an ad hoc host or use Connectify or virtual router.

  Use «Oracle 2.0»

  I don't see "Oracle B2B 2.0" or another option. I have always used 'Oracle 2.0' to generate xsd.

• Captivate 8: Advanced response option missing

  I recently purchased Captivate 8 license and installed the software.

  In MCQ created with only one answer, I found answer advanced option is missing - I have tried searching on the web and followed the instructions, cleared cache by clicking the .bat file while captivate is not open. Rebooted the system, but still the issue is not resolved.

  I want this option to complete one of my projects. Early response is much appreciated.

  Hi Sissi,

  I checked in my system and I am able to get action moving properly under the Options section within the Properties tab of the item selected. To activate the rating partial first go to quiz tab and check the partial score box.

  Please, I prefer clear page layouts and preferences then start the captivate and check the issue.

  To clear preferences go to the captivate\utils installation folder and run the CleanPreferencesWin.bat file.

  To clear page layouts have to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets\Layouts and delete the 8_0 folder.
