hybrid mode 9074

I want to use the 9074 in hybrid mode but cannot get the data passed to the channels when you step up to the level of the chassis. is there something that I am missing? I was able to do this on an another cRIO model (9012). the 9074 does support this mode?

JY

Hybrid mode requires you to have a bitfile compiled running on the FPGA to be able to read the Scan Interface IO Variables.  Move the target FPGA at the RT target module will allow Interface of scanning for this module, but the frame will always mode Interface of LabVIEW FPGA.

To get fair access to the scan mode for the frame, right click on the chassis in the project, and choose Properties.  Then, modify the Scan Interface programming.  If you want to continue using the programming of FPGA and the Scan Interface set (hybrid mode), you will need to compile a bitfile (empty if you do not want programs on the FPGA again or containing your FPGA code).  By compiling, the support of the module scan mode for the modules under your RT chassis is compiled in your custom bitfile.  Then, on your VI RT, you need to use reference FPGA VI open to your newly compiled VI.  Once this VI is deployed and ongoing implementation, you will get your Variables of e/s data.

  • RT: fault 9512 module when you use the hybrid mode

    Hello, I have a problem with my configuration of hyrbid cRIO. I am currently using Labview 2010, cRIO-9074, x 1 NI 9234, and NI 9512 3 x.

    Summary:

    What you trying to accomplish?

-J' built two screws, one who acquires the data of a NI 9234. This vi is one that uses the FPGA due to 51.2 kHz sampling frequency needs. The other is to playback motion and three NI 9512 s (scan mode) encoder. Both work fine separately (on the same FPGA bitfile), but when I copy and paste the VI for the NI 9234 in VI for the 3 9512 x s and click Run, the fault of motors.

What are the steps needed to reproduce the problems?
Click on execute in the joint (prepared program_2VItesting.vi).

What measures, if any, you have taken to solve all the problems and the results of your attempts
-J' have confirmed that if I turn the two screws separately, they work fine. The first time I combine work 9512 s for a second (i.e. the engines a bit) on the two screws. Then he cracks. I then used the distribution manager to clear the fault and run it again (note: there is no error code, I just erase the Red led on the module by changing the configuration mode and active mode). Every time the first time the engines do not move at all.

-J' have confirmed that I have properly configure this kB from hybrid mode:
    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/0DB7FEF37C26AF85862575C400531690

I have attached the vi of two combined screw (prepare program_2VITesting.vi) together. Half upper is program FPGA copied and pasted (as noted by the reference open VI) and the bottom is the scan mode (as noted by the timed loop). I've also attached the separate screw (program prepared and JustDAQ) that can also work well now by pressing justing run.

Am I missing something simple here right?

    Thank you

    Troy

So it turns out that you just put the cRIO in Setup mode when you set up your open your ref FPGA and reset. Then change to the active mode (any program) before you do anything else in your program (i.e. the very very beginner). A picture is attached.

  • cRIO - Scan engine's hybrid mode does not

    Hello

I have a cRIO project in which almost all my modules must operate in mode of scanning (high density, low sampling etc. requirements), however I 9870 module that requires the FPGA interface, so I will try to get cRIO to work in hybrid mode. I followed the instructions in the article on this subject without success. At the present time, everything works perfectly if I leave the chassis in the interface in scan mode, but when I go to the FPGA interface (deploy the change, compile my FPGA vi, download the bitfile and restart the RT vi) none of my data values are updated, and it's not just that they are stable, the timestamps on them are all zeros. The RT is Scan Engine State VI says the scan engine is in Active mode, but still it behaves as if it is not. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the help,

    Jon

    Hello Jon,

Can you explain your configuration a little more in detail?

When you say download the bitfile tell you download the bitfile blinking to run at startup?  The FPGA VI is set to run at startup?

Your code RT has an 'open FPGA VI reference' calling in?  If not, can you try that one?

You are able to communicate with the 9870 in hybrid mode?

    Thank you

    Sebastian

  • 9871 problems in hybrid mode

    Hello world

I have a 9024/9113 with a 9871 and other modules. When I set it up in scan mode, all right. When I set up as a hybrid of FPGA, add FPGA code and run it from the project, yet so good. But when I compile it, download and reboot, I have error VISA-1073807343. 9781 and other modules are all executed in scan, I only use FPGA to get the temperature of the chassis.

    To summarize: ScanMode / run-> OK, ScanMode / download-> OK, hybrid / run-> OK, hybrid / download-> error

    Someone known similar behavior?

    Thanks and regards Guenter

    Hello

I didn't want to offend anyone here, I apologize if I did, I do not use forums a lot and I just wanted to point out that "I have the plug in. (and it was bought 6 months ago..)

I tried to be very precise with my question is:

Is there something specific about the 9871 in HYBRID mode?

And just thought that someone has a quick response, even if it is NOT, IT IS NOT.

However, I found my work around which consists in placing a temperature probe dedicated instead to use the chassis sensor (for which I used FPGA), so I can return to my configuration of scan-mode work. The behavior is funny and if I have it will restrict a day when I'm bored.

Thank you for your answer and greetings nice, Guenter

P.S.: Please don't waste your time with this problem any more, I consider that it is resolved, unless you experienced a similar situation.

  • Force10 S2410-01-10GE - 24 p does support hybrid-mode command?

Does anyone know if the Force10 S2410-01-10GE switch - 24 p supports a command that is similar to an order for OTF to hybrid mode?

I'm in the need to have a vlan are supported interfaces also well marked and unmarked. Is there something similar to the AVSTP?

Version running on this switch of current is 2.4.1.11

    John

With the AVSTP, I think you need create the VLAN and then enter in the interface VLAN, and then define this VLAN tagged, not marked or PVID. Here is an article on the creation of VLANs and affecting the tag/no identified for VLAN interface.

    http://bit.LY/1cYhbfV

So, you should be able to define several as tagged VLANs. And then 1 VLAN as the PVID for all traffic not marked. Page 224 of the guide also describes some more detail.

  • Question: Hybrid Mode development

Is it possible to develop an application in hybrid mode for playbook? For example, using html 5 on disc UI, but use C++ for the development of the lower layer? Creation of an extension of java script seems to be used for this purpose to some extent, but it is necessary to implement an interface in Java. I don't know if it applies to the platform of the playbook.

    Hello

Currently, webworks on playbook is implemented on the AIR, which means that JS extensions expose AIR functionality. To get to native, you must then make an extension of AIR down to native.

What you propose could be done in this way, or by using a third party library with C++ browser control.

One sweet day, webworks forplaybook will be built on Aboriginal people and the process will be easier.

  • Same code compiled for the cRIO-9074, but reports no diagram component calendar violation for cRIO-9067

Hi, just got my new cRIO-9067. I have converted my project over the cRIO-9067 since the cRIO 9074. Same layout module, same engine, same scan code custom fpga, (hybrid mode).  I have no problem of compilation for the 9074, which is a lower performance FPGA architecting the 9067 FPGA.

The final timetable for windows compilation shows that the timing is respected for all clocks - 40, 80 and 120 MHz (I use a clock derived for some code sctl). During the end of compilation, during the phase of gen bitfile, I get the dreaded time violation. Investigation of the breach indicates that it is not the custom code, it is not schema components. One of them seems to be linked to the card series OR 9870 I in the chassis.

Why? Is there anything I can try with the compiler directives for this problem? You would think that it would be easier to compile for the highest performance FPGAS...

OK, don't ask me how I thought this output - to run I changed nothing else than this: feed the I/O node a reference FPGA of e/s instead of configure the node via the menu "link to. It makes no sense, but the compilation succeeded when I did this.

I know it is because I created a very simple test VI in my project and made sure it does not compile without it.

  • May not wake sleep or close - C870-19th Satellite Pro mode

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro C870-19th with Windows 8 and try to take that currently in operation.
After a short-lived Tempro do me to implement the version 6.50 BIOS update, what I've done. I've loaded and saved the BIOS defaults.

Since then, I have the following problems:

    1. when to start with the power button, I can't call the BIOS (F2) and not the boot menu (F12). It works if I start Windows before 8 and generate a 'reboot' or if I turn off Windows 8 Quick Start (which is not intended!).

    2. If Windows 8 enters the power saving mode (by pressing the power button / stop or close the monitor, etc.), it is no longer possible to wake the computer. It does not react on the opening screen, touch pad, keyboard, power button / stop or long pressing the power button (even if everything is enabled in the BIOS!). Only way is take the power supply and the battery.

    3. after turned it off the computer, the led power and wireless LED stays on and the CPU fan still turns. This also happens when I start and stop via an other OS (Linux) of the DVD player. Power off is possible at length by pressing the power button. Disable the QuickStart shows no improvement.

Should I have a warranty claim, or I did something wrong?

The reason for this could be a fact that with pre-installed notebook Win 8 isn t completely stops, but just put in hybrid mode.

Check this box and a complete stop

    * Perform a complete shutdown in Windows 8 *.

  • Mode of scanning/FPGA for a CRIO by Veristand

    Hello!

I have a small error using my CRIO 9081 use with CAN communication, here's what I did:

    1. I use the CRIO with scan mode and customized it "Scan engine" and Ethercat for show my analog modules under VeriStand, it's ok

    2. I use the CRIO with FPGA Scan interface (together under Labview) to detect my modules CAN, also ok

3 - then I wanted to see the CAN and analog modules, so I use this page:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/0DB7FEF37C26AF85862575C400531690

    And here's my problem:

with this method I am able to see the two modules with the custom device 'analytical engine and ethercat", which is really nice, BUT, impossible project VeriStand, the error message asking me to turn the chassis using FPGA, but then I lost the analog module...

So is it possible to run a project Veristand using both Scan and FPGA interface mode?

    Thank you very much

    Hi Vincent,.

When you tried to implement, you use the procedure described in the following document in the section use of Scan Engine and EtherCAT with NI 986 x custom device modules XNET ?

From what I remember, because you use a cRIO-9081, you will need to compile an empty bitfile for your target and place the controller in Mode FPGA hybrid mode on your chassis.

Could you post a screenshot of the error of deployment, you see?

  • cRIO 9081 to the 9144 expansion chassis. FPGA engine mode or scan?

Our installation program runs VeriStand on a chassis 9081 cRIO using a FPGA personality. We wanted to add an ethercat expansion chassis 9144 to the system. Don't support the cRIO and expansion mode personality FPGA chassis runing VeriStand? I can't find much information about it, other than runing the system using the analytical engine.

Initially, we tried to run our system uisng the analytical engine add on, but the system had problems with the NI 9213 16 Ch thermocouple card. If one of the inputs is open it read the rest of the channels open. For example, if channel 5 is open, the remainging channels 6 to 16 would also read as at the opening. For this reason, we configure an FPGA personality to read inputs and outputs.

    Thank you

You can do it. But you need to compile the FPGA in a hybrid mode:

  • Could Scan mode and FPGA mode be used in a project?

    Hi all

I need a project that the current NI9203 with mode of analysis samples and samples of the accelerometer of the NI 9237 with FPGA mode. It could be achieved? Could Scan mode and FPGA mode be used in a project?

    I use labview2009.

    Thank you very much.

Yes, they can. This mode is called hybrid mode. To use the Mode of LabVIEW FPGA IO modules, simply slide the module to the target FPGA in the LabVIEW project, disconnected from scan mode. Then use LabVIEW FPGA to program the modules and use I/O variables for read and write I/O on the remaining modules. When you use a LabVIEW FPGA Mode on one or more modules, the logic of the scan Mode CompactRIO on the FPGA, known as the RIO Scan Interface, is compiled in a single application of FPGA with LabVIEW FPGA VI. If no module is configured to use the scan mode, the RIO Scan Interface is not included in the compilation.

    4.      presence
    5. If this is correct, Jabber for Windows will use [email protected] / * / to authenticate with CUCM, but CUCM would need only the name without the domain name user. From my point of view, Jabber for Windows will not be able to authenticate with CUCM Telephony Services.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Tino,

You can use the command line arguments to specify the SSO with WebEx presence server. There is no real soloution SSO at present for hybrid mode (CUCM, unit Cxn).  See the answer online for other issues.

  • Shortcuts commands vs hybrid sleep

I tried to create a desktop shortcut to place my computer Windows 8 in mode "standby".  After a lot of research online, I tried several proposed commands (ex: rundll32.exe powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState 0,1,0), each of which seem to place the computer in "hibernate" instead of "sleep".  It was suggested to use any first order to disable 'hybrid' (ex: powercfg-Hibernate implementation,) followed by running the command "sleep".  It seems to me to get the same result: "hybrid" mode instead of "sleep".  Anyone would be able to offer the correct command "sleep"?  I want to be able to order the computer in the exact same resulting state by clicking on the button 'sleep' in the settings/power found in 'charms '.  Please help, thanks.

Sandeep, first off I apologize for you accused of being too busy to read my question completely.  It turns out, I'm the one at fault for not reading your response more carefully and thoroughly.  You had, in fact, gave me the key to my problem by suggesting the I run the "hibernate" as a high command.  When I took the time to do exactly as you suggest my problem has been resolved.  Thank you very much for your excellent help Sandeep.
