• Anyone see the option to transfer disabled/grayed out in the latest iOS 9.3.1?

  I used handoff successfully for a long time until this week. All the settings on Mac are correct for both 9.3.1 iOS (iPhone 6 Plus) and MacOS 10.11.4 have the same credentials to iCloud. However on my iphone iOS, the transfer option (under settings > > General > > Handoff & App Suggestion) is grayed out. Have power rolled my phone once or twice without success.

  Also I was wondering, and by checking with my enterprise IT if MDM provisioning profiles limit the transfer feature? To prove otherwise, anyone else seen this problem? I did a google search and see no others have reported the same problem.

  You say that you rolled your iPhone power nothing works. Did you do a reset? Hold the sleep and wake buttons at the same time... continue pressing the two buttons until the Apple logo appears. This usually fixes most of my problems.

  PC running Windows 7. My updated Skype updated to 7.17 on 1/8 and now today 7,18. Since the 7.17 install, my credentials are no longer save and "Sign me in when Skype starts" is grayed out and I can't check. My username will save even more. In addition to this, whenever I connect now, I receive notifications about files sent by someone who sent me a weeks file, and he keeps asking me to configure my camera. I tried to uninstall, delete the folder appdata and reinstalling several times, but no luck.

  You have very restrictive of the defined policy settings. I guess you see something similar to this:

  The key that prevents to create the profile folder is the one named MemoryOnly. You can remove this key or change the value to 0.

  If you see a key named DisablePersonalization, and then delete this key too or change the value to 0.

• Ability to save the settings of the system - custom option grayed out

  You have administrative rights on this machine?  There are some functions that you will not be able to perform on a PC, unless you have the administrative law on this PC. Save your work, exit the program. Before launching the program again, right click on the .exe file and select run as directors. Click on continue or provide credentials admin if prompted.

• SRW2008P - Advanced QoS Mode is grayed out

  QoS-section of the web interface SRW2008P I can choose between Disable and basic, advanced mode is grayed out.

  I created a new ACL but advanced QoS mode is not available.

  What can I do to activate it?

  Hi, I also had this problem with the advanced QoS mode is grayed out in the web interface. A firmware update, many factory reset without success, very frustrating and disappointing as I too bought this switch for its QoS functionality. However...

  1 console Telnet to the switch, log in using your user/pass

  2. Ctrl-z to exit from the menu, you will get a > prompt

  3. type lcli - you will be asked once again in your credentials, it takes you in a familiar Cisco IOS-like CLI

  4. type conf - enters configuration mode

  5. type advanced qos - you will be asked to confirm it clears basic QoS settings.

  You can now create your class cards and set policies to interfaces.

  In fact, using the light CLI rather than the web interface to configure.

  First check to see if the hearing aid Mode is enabled in settings > general > accessibility > hearing aids. If this option is enabled, then telephone noise cancelling will be grayed out as you describe. If this isn't the case and that the option is grayed out, please continue.

  I used to be able to put a note on a separate window and then "float on top. However, since updating to OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, it has always been grayed out. Even on the full notes window, I can't make it float on top.

  Is this a bug? Is it just my macbook? Or is there a way I can get 'float' on top working again?

  I understand that you have a question about the feature 'float on top' of the Notes app, and I'm happy to help you. How the works seems to have changed.  Now, rather than tearing off a note to display it in a separate window, you can double-click the note entry in the list to the left of the application Notes. Once a note in its own separate window, the menu item 'Float on top' becomes accessible.

• I downloaded macossierra yesterday. Siri is asking me to allow location in settings and privacy, but I can't tick enable locations.  It is grayed out. help is needed

  I downloaded yesterday sierra of mac os.  However, I asked Siri what the weather conditions were in my position. She said that to go into the settings under Security and confidentiality and allow my place.  I did, but I'm not able to check the enable places.  It is grayed out.  Does anyone else have this problem.

  I understand your message that you are not able to activate location Services within the parameters of security and privacy on your Mac. I know how it is important for you to be able to turn on location Services. When you go to System Preferences, then Security & Privacy, make sure you click on the padlock at the bottom left and type your admin password. Then you should be able to turn on location Services.

• Headphone issues and options grayed out reading preferences

  The basic problem is that when I play music via iTunes, if I plug my headphones, it covers only playback through the computer speakers, not headphones.
  If I closed iTunes, plug in the earphones, THEN restart iTunes and play music, it will come through the headphones, but if I unplug, it is paused and not restart, even if I plug the headphones insert it again.
  Although I can change speakers headphones by stopping iTunes and restarting, I'm often trailing long playlists, it is not practical to do so.
  Other advice, it seems that I have to change the "audio playback" setting using "Session of Windows Audio' 'Direct Sound', or something similar, HOWEVER, when I go in Edition > Preferences > reading, the box is grayed out, and I can't change it.

  If you click on 'Restore the standard fonts', fonts that are not included in the OS X systems is placed in a "fonts folder (deleted) next to the fonts folder.
