• RDBMS for Hyperion Essbase server change

  Hi all

  We installed and configured 11.1.2.2.100(Essbase, EIS, Studio, Services partagés) on Windows 2008 32-bit server successfully.

  Everything went well and all the products work.

  Now, we have changed the RDBMS for Hyperion Essbase server and ran the configuration once more with the new RDBMS server with option "reuse existing tables.

  Therefore, we are unable to access the essbase server.

  We have seen users of Shared Services. All users are able to connect to Shared Services, EAS but problem with Essbase.

  In the table of HSS_Component is the old name of the server in two places, we have updated the old name of DB server on behalf of current server DB.

  When we try to access essbase we get the below error (tried with the host name, ip address, EssbaseCluster1 as the Essbase server)

  Error network [10061]: unable to connect to [Server Name: 1423]

  Error: 103: unexpected error Essbase 1030818

  Error: 1042006: error network [10061]: unable to connect to [[servername]: 1423]

  Error: 1030818: failed to connect. Please check if the server and port are correct. If you have received failure timeout or handshake.

  Please check if you tried to connect to a secure Word keyless secure port or disable port with the secure key word.

  Please help me solve this problem.

  It is extremely important that you know what you are doing before you touch the registry of shared services and the correct way is to not update the tables, is to use the epmsys_registry utility.

  To be honest you can have messed up the registry and it is something I will not get involved in, try to talk with Oracle, what you just did.

  If it is only the name of the RDBMS server change (not the essbase server) then you must follow the instructions in the documentation - change shared Services and connection of database registry and the password information

  I have added a new dimension to a fact table and created a new model of environmental impact assessment and the metaoutline. I would now change the fact table to match production. I changed it to sql and I'd like to be reflected in the model, but I don't see how. I prefer not to recreate the model. I don't want to lose the metaoutline or can associate you with another model?
  
  I hardly use HIA and would appreciate some guidace.

  No change of name he is going to be a problem, to do that you should drag the 'new' object in your model and remap it.

  For what it's worth, as a best practice, I always run my models to views in a relational database with generic names. So, I have a view called Fact_Table. If ever, then I remodel, I can modify the tables and update the definition of the view. Then in the OLAP model all I have to do is add or remove columns, but the object allows you to stay in touch.

  We have a new requirement in Oracle projects-
  
  Our Client is implementing a new unit of operation for localization in a geographical area. He has been before, working unit and organization for this geographical area. What they want - there will be a relationship one between the new agencies and previous organizations (i.e. projects in old_org1 will be transferred to new_org1). So, to implement this.
  
  All projects (as well as the members of task and key) must be copied with the same project number and name (old ones must be invalidated by prefixing a code in the project number and the name of the project)
  Agreement and Budgets need to be copied. (The amount referenced against the budget should be same in all nine)
  Events must be copied with bill existing and amount of income. If the events are billed / income distributions, this should be changed.
  We are not yet decided if we will need to copy the expenses and other elements of the transaction (such as invoice or income lines lines).
  
  We are looking for APIs to accomplish these tasks.
  
  If anyone can help us with the reusable codes and guidance on Impact assessment in this scenario. We would especially like to know will there will be no impact on OTL if we copy the projects using the above method.
  
  Please let me know if detailed description is necessary.

  I understood that you plan to create a new operating unit and move the activity of the existing control unit to the new. The solution that you plan to take is very risky and complex. It is compared to reimplementation and lose a large part of the integration with purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc. OTL.
  You can compare that with the alternative, which allows localization on the existing control unit features.

  If this is not possible, you might consider letting all existing projects and their links to the existing po, ap, otl, ar etc within the existing control unit. After you create the new unit with its localization features, allow existing projects which will be charged by the new operating unit, or update the Organization owner of existing projects to the new localaized operating unit.

• Server 2012r2 changes the time for a few seconds, then changes back

  I have a windows 2012r2 server that points to our DC for NTP, the domain controller points to time.windows.com. Every 2 months or more, the 2012r2 server will change its time 4 hours back (5 if we're on DST) then a few seconds later, it will change to the correct time.

  The domain controller never changes time. This time change blocks processes sometimes and they don't come until I manually restart them.

  No idea what could cause this change soon?

  I use a PowerCLI script to configure my ESXi servers immediately after deployment. This includes adding them to vCenter Server. I use the ESXi image provided by HP and the image is already licensed with the license of the free hypervisor.

  This means that I can't add the ESXi server to vCenter as the license does not include the vpxa license.

  I don't want to open the vSphere Client directly to the ESXi server and change the license before running the configuration script PowerCLI.

  How can I change the license using PowerCLI license reconfigured to evaluation mode before adding the ESXi server to vCenter?

  Hey, I have a few tables in Oracle which are denormalised and are not dependent on relational way which means there is no foreign key, that is to say this isn't a pattern of snowflakes or snow stars. I can create model based on OLAP with joins in IST? Please let me know this as soon as possible. Thank you.

  You build the star schema in the environmental impact assessment, there is no dependency on the links established in RDBMS.

  If you have a pattern of starting completely built in RDBMS then it's fine, but either way, when you pull on tables in your OLAP model, you must set the joints.

  So as long as you have a fact table and the dimension tables that you can "work" your fields, you will be able to build the cube.

  Environmental impact assessment does little in terms of referential integrity, that's why you can always have kickouts IST load (i.e. records made which have no corresponding members of metadata in the dimension tables).

• How to fix the outgoing e-mail when e-mail server address changes

  I had to remove an email account that was getting too much spam and create a new. For example, deleted [email protected] and created a [email protected] called a new.

  I thought I could keep the same account from Thunderbird by changing all these instances out of [email protected] to [email protected].

  I can receive emails fine.

  Under the server settings, there is a parameter for the name of the server, which remains the same, and user name, which I changed it to [email protected].

  Under the main parameters, at the bottom, there is a drop-down list box to select the outgoing server, and there is a list of all accounts I have. However, the one for the account, I changed still says [email protected] - host name, and no [email protected] - hostname, and I can't send through this outgoing host.

  I have to delete the old account and add the new account, save my outgoing messages so that the outgoing mail server be correct?

  OK, I finally found it, just above the 'Actions of account' at the bottom of the list of all accounts. I totally didn't see that entry to date. I've included an image in case someone else is so blind that I have. Thank you.

  When I shut down my computer and then I turn on, the network settings are systematically changed.

  I have to every time, pointed out in the advanced settings - network settings and uncheck "use a proxy server for your LAN".
  It becomes painful.

  Hi, Juggler777. Media server name is the name of the router. You can change the name of the FTP server using a 3rd party service like DynDNS, TZO and other DNS providers.

• Change of password blackBerry Email Z10. Z10 connects to my server after changing to the new password. 100% sure that password is correct.

  I have two pop3 email accounts Setup on my Blackberry Z10.  They work very well for more than a year.  These email accounts are also configured on my personal laptop.  For security reasons, I changed the password on one of the e-mail accounts.  I knew that this meant that I would then change the password on my laptop and my blackberry.  I edited my email account to mobile with the new password and it worked fine.  But when I edited my e-mail account on my Blackberry, it will not connect to my e-mail with the new password server.  First, he says 'save and check your settings' for a while, then I get a message "the server for your account does not (my server info).  Please check your settings and try again".   I know I typed in the new password correctly.  This is the same as the one I typed in my laptop which worked and I even clicked on the little "EYE" icon in the field password on the blackberry, so I could see what I was typing.  My other e-mail account on the blackberry works very well (I haven't changed the password on this subject) I do not understand why the Blackberry does not recognize my new email password. It should have been a simple change.

  To change the password of e-mail on the blackberry, I chose the SETTINGS, then ACCOUNTS, then I took the e-mail account, that I wanted to change.

  With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should translate a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

  1) register HRT

  • Please wait while the display of the message of a "successful record.

  2) restart

  • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • Peripheral BB10. Hold the top button until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the unit to be completely stopped (for example, nothing appears on the screen, no lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. IF this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
  • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts.

  Also try the tool of Validation of Email to ensure that the server settings have not changed:

  If the wizard fails, sometimes using the advanced settings, recording everything manually, can work.

  It's a shame to your mail server remains on the old pop... IMAP and EAS are much more useful IMHO. Well.

  This page of naming of the object has been removed from the migration wizard.

  The feature is now available in the migration of object report.
