HyperSnap Textsnap works with Firefox 3.6.12 but not the latest version: ideas?
Under XP Pro sp3. TextSnap has worked with almost all of the screens presented by Firefox 3.6.12 - what is telling, not pdf - but upgrading to the latest version of Firefox has left Textsnap almost totally disabled. So how is different from the presentation of text/display again Firefox, and is there a workaround?

Until today, I did everything with Firefox. Then I was on Paypal and went to print a shipping label and the printer will not work. I went to troubleshoot page and printed a test page. I uninstalled my printer and then re-installed. Still would not work from a Web page. I did a system restore. Still did not work. Called Epson. I had nothing else problems since I installed the latest version of Firefox version 18. It crashes my computer no matter what I do. Even if I do not use the browser. Also my daughter is having the same problems with his computer and they all started with the new version. So it isn't just me. At least give us the option to revert to the previous version and we ask if we want to improve when a new spell. However, I never had these problems in the past with any version of firefox that I installed. I like the features of firefox, but cannot afford to keep restarting my computer. It seems that firefox is hindering and then hangs up the computer and I can't do anything else even if I do not use it. It seems to stay in the background and just hang up. Please fix this.
The problem is unlikely to have been with Firefox itself. It is much more likely to have been with some software or malware you have inadvertently installed
Installs official Firefox is not bundled with other software. Firefox is customizable and has many extensions of the software you can choose to install but don't have to do anything.
Funmoods is also a malware or at least software which is often hated to see these messages

I just got the phone with McAfee Technical Support is turned off and since a few minutes ago, McAfee Site Advisor is NOT supported on newer versions of Firefox, IE or Google Chrome!
I was told that if I wanted Site Advisor to work I needed to go back and reinstall and use an older version for each browser.
I just got a call from McAfee Site Advisor monitoring works now with Firefox & Google Chrome, and not in IE... that doesn't matter to me because I use NEVER IE!

Sorry, my instructions missed an important point: Please make sure that you open an administrator command prompt. I've updated the steps with the change of "BOLD":
1. open a command prompt. (In Start menu, find 'cmd', then right click and choose 'Run as administrator').
2. enter these two lines at the command prompt (copy and paste to make sure they're right):

- Enter about: config in the URL bar and press ENTER.
- If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access this page.
- Filter = general.useragent.
- The preferences that are bold, one line at a time, right-click and select Reset.
