  We are testing the backup and restore processes on our TEST server and I hit a snag. Protocol of the company says that applications and databases must be on separate servers, so we have essbase on a 32-bit server Unix Sparc and our applications... Shared services, planning, weblogic on another workspace. We did a restoration of our application server only without touching the DB server and now I can not access shared Services. When you try to access the Services shared through the following URL ' http:// < servername >: 58080/interop/index.jsp' I get following error...

  If you do a restore then you should really be restorting the db to the samepoint as there is a lot of information held in databases.
  As you mention port 58080 I guess you're on version 9, but the title says 11.1.1.3 the port should be 28080.
  You will need to check the logs to see if Shared Services has encountered problems during startup.

  This happens to a known issue with OBIEE 11.1.1.6.8 in which the server tends to have memory leaks due to excessive use of memory by OBIPS. Then, this causes the error and users kicked out of sessions when an intensive query is executed. Fix has been upgraded to 11.1.1.12.

  I think that VMware has a 64-bit/function version. You will need to contact them to verify this.
  64-bit to 32-bit is not supported by Windows Easy Transfer, as far as I know.

  My computer is a Lenovo Thinkpad T400 with Windows 7 Professional.

  One of my friends scanning a lot of pictures and then sent me to a Toshiba flash drive. When I plugged the flash drive on my computer, he started something called Windows Easy Transfer and wanted to know if I wanted to transfer everything. I had no idea what he was talking about, but I thought, well, Yes, I want to transfer the pictures that my friend sent me. I assumed that Windows Easy Transfer, it was how it was done. I mean, it's a Windows program; I just didn't know it would be bad to use.

  Well, when it was over, I got this box labeled "Windows Easy Transfer reports." It seems that a lot of software, settings and a user account with the name of my friend about it was transferred to my computer!

  I don't want that! What's happening on Earth?

  Now I have things on my computer as "215 Apps - DealVault," 'Adobe Flash Player 12 ActiveX,' 'ArcSoft media 2' 'Conduit SearchProtect', 'Mindspark Interactive Network HeadlineAlley Toolbar and InboxAce Toolbar,' 'PC TEKNIX Extreme Flash Player,' "SmartApps DealVault," "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver", 'Intel TV Wizard' and so on! I recognize even more of that, and a lot of it sounds like malware, or stuff of advertising and badly behaved toolbars that I don't want on my computer!

  I searched "Uninstall programs" and none of them are still on the list! Where are they and how do I get rid of them?

  It seems you've got some corrupt short icons of the user account of your friends through Windows easy transfer.

  I suggest you perform a restore of the system to cancel the easy transfer.

  In Windows XP Sp3, I created the Windows Easy Transfer file on a USB - I see it. I did the Custom installation of Windows 7 that seems successful. When I try to access my data using file transfer, the program will not open the file, although he sees there. Is there a way to retrieve this file?

  Agrivated after myself, I found the problem.  And it's simple!  I hope it works for everyone, always in need of response.  So I upgraded to Win Xp 32 bit to 7 64 bit.  I had a 39 + GB Easy Transfer file.  I was getting the same error, «...» "Cannot open a file... "Well, to solve this problem, I opened the Transfer Wizard, thenm go through your files, using the options"Advanced"and my limited to a size of transfer to 2 GB or less.  It could be a tedious job, but it should work for you, as it did for me.  You can experiment a bit more with the measures, but I've just stuck with 2 GB and was fine.  Good luck to you all

  I have a use case where I have to expose a Web service and as a response, I send a large xml (size max would be 18 MB).

  Customer <>- ProxyService (exposed as a Web service) <>- BusinessService (File protocol) < - read - > File.xml

  Here the xml response must be stored in the "SomeName.xml" file in the directory of the same server share path.

  So when the Client calls ProxyService, inturn would call it BS, where BS inturn would have read the contents of the xml file and pass it back as a response to the customer via PS

  Challenge is here using Protocol of file I can't do BS to read the xml file, instead his writing in a new file with conent as input message.

  Can someone let me know is it possible to read a xml file using business service.

  Note: I know that the PS can read a file using the Protocol of files, but my BS need use cases to read the contents of the file.
