Hello:

You can install a maximum of bars of memory 2 x 1 GB for a total of 2 GB.

You can not install a 2 GB memory module specifications.

In other words, you can not install 4 GB of memory in your model.

  • How can I add more dedicated to my video card RAM?

I've had this computer for 2 years and I want to know how to increase my video Ram in order to run newer games. As far as I know, I need to access my BIOS. I tried to restart my computer and I tried many keys to function as F1, F2, F10 and Delete, but I can't find the menu, I need to change my video Ram.

I have a model of HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1234. My current video Ram is 64 MB, with a maximum of 1696 MB memory graphics available and I want to know how to increase it.

    Hello

Really, you cannot increase the amount of video memory as it is dynamically assigned and an increase/decrease dynamically depending on video. It's also reduced according to the requirements of the system.

Slimline PCs were not intended to be run the most demanding new of modern video games.

  • Satellite M70-131 - I want to add more RAM

    Hello

    I have a Satellite M70-131
    Part number: PSM70E-01500RAR

I want to add more RAM, because I know you have to check three points to buy a new:
    -How can I add?
    -The type of RAM?
-The number of the BIOS or BUS?

I'm not sure about the third point, I know that I can add to 2G, and the type of RAM is DDR2.
But if I have the right point, how can I check the number (BIOS or BUS)? Because I tried to add one, but did ' t work!

    Help me please
    Thnx 4 all

    Hello!

The Satellite M70-131 can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM and you have already said you need DDR2 RAM.
Specification for RAM is DDR2 400/533 and you can add two modules with 1 GB of capacity of each module. The reference is PA3411U-1M1G.

What do you mean with many BUS and BIOS? This has nothing to do with an upgrade of RAM.

    Good bye

  • Eager to add a few things on my desk! (Don't know much about computers)

Hi, I was looking in Add/upgrade to update new things to my computer and didn't know some things. I intend to do in February at the latest.

    * My computer *.

Name of the operating system: Microsoft Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium

    Version: 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002

    System manufacturer: HP-Pavilion

    System model: KJ377AA-ABA m8400f

    SMBIOS Version: 2.4

Amount of physical memory (RAM): 3.00 GB

    Total virtual memory: 6,20 GB

I didn't know what all you need to know.

First of all, I wanted to add room so I took two (I am still trying to decide on one) Personal Media Drive. I'm leaning towards the 1 CT one.

Here are some of my questions about it.

The two (not at the same time) would install in my Personal Media Drive Bay?

Is there a counter to them?

Secondly, I wanted to add RAM, but don't know what type, brand or what to get. I want to add 2 to 4 GB.

    RAM issues:

Can my computer support that much?

What are some that I could look at?

Brand of the is a great thing, if so what brand should I get?

Third, I want to go from vista to Windows 7 Ultimate.

    Upgrade issues:

Is Windows 7 Ultimate better than vista (vista a bit mind)?

Windows 7 handles this, I add?

Okay the reason why I shared that with you. I wanted to ask I should update my graphics card? And if so, what?

I'm sorry for taking much of your time. I just want to be happy with what I get and make sure that everything is going to work. I love HP and I love the laptop and this computer. I also like the unrelated computer components I have their. But I need to expand. Help, please. Thank you for everything.

MFSX said: does that mean that I can run a 64-bit OS and my computer recognizes more RAM? If so, I would really like to do. I at one point want the site you sent me to say "max out"... hehe. Are there other things that I have to upgrade before doing this? D until my chances of being able to get a better graphics card. My husband says it's a 300W power supply. How would I go about upgrading my diet?

Yes, you can switch to a 64-bit operating system.  This is the amount of memory that is supported by your motherboard if you:

    Memory:

Memory installed 3 GB Maximum allowed 8 GB (4 x 2 GB) (64-bit operating system)

    4 GB * (4 x 1 GB) (32-bit operating system)

    * Actual available memory may be less speed supported PC2-6400 MB/sec Type 240 pin DDR2 SDRAM

The sweet spot for memory with Win7 is 3 GB 6 GB with a 32-bit operating system with a 64-bit operating system.  You can pass all of the 8 GB as shown, too.  I highly recommend the Crucial memory when you're ready for this step.

Replace the power supply (PSU) can be a bit tricky.  Mainly, because it is necessary to remove all connectors of the components.  Can an average user do?  Yes, in my opinion.  You just take notes as to where everything is connected.  The wires on the new power supply are normally marked very well.  Here is a video on replacing the PSU.  It will be exactly what you have to do, but it will give you a good idea of what is needed.  Here's a good power supply.  I actually had this power supply in my computer.  It is one of the best on the market.  OCZ and Corsair are two manufacturers that I recommend.

  • I have a Satellite M40-193: what kind of ram I need to upgrade?

I mean, I don't know how many locations is available here in my laptop and how I can update, I would like to add 1 GB. What kind of ram do need me exactly?

    Hello

I used advanced search of this forum and found these threads on the same topic:

Each laptop M40 series use the same modules of memory.

  • MBP + a kit of RAM that is not supposed to be supported =?

So, I bought a used MBP which worked great and I am happy with it, although I don't want to increase the RAM of 4 GB to 16 GB, although Apple says you can improve only to 8 GB, but some in the community say that you can add it only to 8 GB of RAM.

"4GB (2 GB SO - DIMMS) of DDR3 memory at 1333 MHz; two SO-DIMM slots support up to 8 GB"says here: MacBook Pro (15 inch, late 2011) - technical specifications

    By Apple themselves.

Who am I supposed to listen to? Apple or the Apple community? Or I understand that bad, and it means that I can pass it to 8 GB on each RAM slot? I need clarification.

Also, I can assume that I can upgrade or downgrade my HDD/SSD to the great ever I want, as long as the OS fits on it and the car is part of the macbook? As we shall throw a 3 TB SSD for an example (not sure 100% if we exist, but assume that), he enrolled in the macbook pro normally, I install own El Capitan or everything that I have a backup, it works normally? Right?

Or in a word: are there restrictions for the storage disk, other than that it fits in the cell and is big enough for the operating system?

    According to my technical information:

Maximum memory (Real) 16 GB 8 GB (Apple)
    Memory locations 2-204-pin PC-10600 (1333 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

However, this means that it should work for you, but there is no guarantee that it will work.

Reliable suppliers are: OWC, DataMemand Crucial.

  • Satellite A-C55-1JL - compatibility with the ram module

I want to upgrade the RAM in my Toshiba C55-A-1JL. Standard module is Hynix PC3L bitensión 4 GB. But on the slot, I saw the text "1.5V. I bought the 4 GB of Kingston module with identical parameters as Hynix module, only the voltage is different. Kingston module is only 1.5V voltage.

My question is: what voltage supports the mainboard that laptop? Can I use this add-on from Kingston with original Hynix ram module?

    Standard module's voltage Hynix PC3L

This means that the module supports 1.35v or 1.5V

Can I use this add-on from Kingston with original Hynix ram module?

In the worst case if you use the not entirely compatible RAM module, the laptop does not start up... try it

  • HP 15r001la: Question about HP 15r001la cooling system

This afternoon, I opened my laptop HP to add a module of 8 GB of RAM memory. Everything went well. However, something called my attention, as shown in the attached photo, I found three spacers plastic where the computer fan is supposed to be. Is this normal? Am I missing something? Thanks for your advice. I'm very intrigued. Both my system card and my cpu temperature seem to be OK, around 60-70 ° C the first and 50-60 maximum this last time.

Pentium N3530 aka Trail Bay processor is designed to work with passive cooling. They are not as powerful as the Intel Core processors (i3, i5, etc.), but in fact to do a very good job for little power because they draw and the heat they generate. How is the battery life, for example?  So to answer directly. Yes, perectly normal and expected.

So can some tell me what that means I'm really confused.

It is a typo in the specifications. The service manual says you can install up to 8 GB.

    See p. 4

    See p. 54 for installation.

If you have 4 concerts could be 1 x 4 or 2 x 2 gig and you will need to check but you can have 2 x 4 gig modules.
