I am trying to connect to wifi using PC w/win7

I can't connect to wifi using the same connection as before wireless.  When I click on 'Connect', a box comes up and says: "Windows could not connect to...". "I tried, restart the PC, change the adapters, using auto troubleshooting, try different video resolution of YouTube and nothing works.  What should I do?

I found the answer on the Web site: www.digitalcitizen.life/how-connect-wireless-networks

Simply, click on the link, on the difficulty of inconvenient wireless by removing their profile - if you have problems with a wireless network that has worked in the past... »

In Windows 7, go to start, Control Panel, network and sharing, manage wireless networks, select the network to which with that you have problems, remove, confirm that you want to delete the network profile by clicking on "Yes".  Close the control panel.

Bottom right of the taskbar, click to select the network that you want in the available wireless networks listed.  A box opens, check connect automatically, click Key Code, enter your password to connect.

It worked perfectly!  Now I'm back online.

  • Can I connect to wifi using an older version of XP pro?

Hi, I tried to connect to a wifi system library with my Windows XP pro system. The OS is the drive immediately and has not been updated. It does not seem an option in "Network connections" for the wireless, but it has broadband services. I tried to connect with it, but without success. I don't see any of the available wifi signals shown. I have to upgrade to a later version of XP to see the 'Wireless Network Connection' option? The problem is, I have no way to upgrade, unless I can do it by downloading the file to update with my other computer that connects. Is it possible to connect with the XP version I have? Thank you very much!

The basic problem is that when Windows is freshly installed ("just behind the disc") missing drivers for a large number of materials, including in the case of laptops, which often use custom hardware.

You need to go to http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19?c=us&l=en&s=dhs and enter the Service of Dell (which is supposed to access you a page of download from Dell that uses drivers for your particular hardware configuration, rather than all the drivers for your Dell generic type).

Dell recommends that the drivers are installed in a particular order: http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&docid=DSN_1A0C0937D62A8739E0401E0A55174744

The Broadcom driver that you have installed is to the network (wired) Ethernet controller.  You must also install the driver for the wireless card.  Dell has installed several different models of wireless cards in the Latitude D620.  If using the Service tag, it does not narrow down, see if you can identify the make and model by looking at the entries in the Device Manager for the "Network controller" or "unknown device".

You can also see if the system information tool (start > run > msinfo32.exe > OK) provides information of brand and model of the wireless card.  Go to components > network (not, as you might assume, under "Resources").

  • Problems connecting to wifi using 15-J100ED

    Hello

I use a 15-J100ED HP Pabilion laptop and I am currently having problems with my wifi connection. As a reminder, I put the laptop on standby when you go to bed one when I woke up, the laptop was not able to detect the wireless network connections. I can only connect to the us using a cable.

I downloaded the latest drivers for the network card, you can see in the picture attached, but this did not help.

As soon as I unplug the network cable, no wireless connection is visible when you can see in screenshot 2.

Could you please guide me to solve this problem?

    Hello:

Your wireless network adapter is missing.

You should see a wireless network card listed with the Realtek card.

I restart the PC and see if it shows up.

If this is not the case, try a hard reset.

    http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c01684768-4%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

If this does not work, I must say that it is a hardware failure of the motherboard or wireless card.

  • I can´t connect via WIFI.

I can´t connect via WIFI. My equipment is a Realtek RTL8191SE WLAN 802.11n, is recognized by the computer as work, and the version of the driver is the last update, I found on the web (version 2015.1.427.2010, dated 2010.04.27. What should I do?

    Hi Jeremiah c,.

    ·         What happens when trying to connect via wifi?

    ·         You receive an error message/code?

    ·         Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    ·         What version of the operating system is installed on the computer?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Run the network troubleshooter utility.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2:  Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

If the problem does not persist in SafeMode with network, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 4: Follow the steps in the articles provided.

  • E5 - 571 cannot connect to wifi at all

I bought the Aspire E5-571 yesterday and I tried to connect to wifi with no luck what so ever. It is running windows 8.1 x64bit. I've updated the network adapter atheros a.285 provided on the acer driver downloads section. but still no luck. WiFi connections are displayed but I can't communicate with them, I have infinity of bt using the bt hub 4. I go as far as to type in the access code for the router but says that it cannot connect. my other devices can connect (iPhone, portable under win7). the only way to connect is to sit on my staircase using an ethernet cable. Thanks in advance for the help.

    I found a solution!

running all the updates and not having anything work, made me think of getting a new network card. It is clear to see that the problem lies in the qualcomm atheros so after watching youtube videos, I thought that it would be difficult for everyone to open their laptop and reinstall the network adapter. siimply so quite, I use a plug usb adapter you can get on amazon/ebay/or a store with an it Department for a simple tenner. Although this has not resolved the problem with the qualcomm's atheros card, I am able to connect to wifi, so I am very happy. Thanks for the reply.

  • EAS does not connect via wifi company post - 1.3.5

This seems to be a somewhat different issue of EE that some know, so it was recommended that I start a new thread. My question: I can access is no longer to EAS via the wifi of my company. It worked before 1.3.5. If I turn the wifi off, I can then connect EE without problem. I get no error when connected via wifi, rather e-mail and calendar just don't update.

It turns out that our firewall is configured to disallow connections since our internal wireless to internal resources through external access (that is, accessible through the Internet). This explains why it is not working currently - other devices exhibit the same behavior, including iPhones and laptops.

The question then becomes: why it worked before? I can check before 1.3.5 I can be connected via wifi to my company and still connect to the Regional service. So the previous version tried to connect via wifi, then when he could not, did he switch to EVDO to connect?

If this is the case, then it is a very nice feature and it would be great if it was turned off. If it is not the case, then I have no idea why it worked prior to 1.3.5.

  • E4200V2, how to see who is connected to WiFi?

    Hi, I just replaced a D-Link with the E4200V2.

On the D-Link, it was easy, I can see who is connected to the radio.

But I can't figure out how to see who is connected in WiFi on the E4200?

I run several access points in my house, and I make sure they all work.

If I don't see who, if anyone, is connected, I don't know if the WiFi on the E4200 works.

I do not use the E4200 DHCP server, the DHCP client table is not useful.

How can I see who is connected to WiFi using the radio?

  • I tried to connect wifi with my laptop, including wireless I use for a month now, but shows only 2 blue screens without the world down on the right, and he said "unidentified network".

    "Unidentified network".

Hello, today I tried to connect to my friends wifi with my laptop, including wireless I use it for a month now and its impossible! Down right it shows only 2 blue screens without the World Cup, and he said "unidentified network"! I tried several solutions, I found online as 'install the protocols Internet 4 and 6', make sure that I have the ip auto get same restore point system and safe mode with network! Nothing works... my friend connects with his laptop and I can connect with my smartphone, except my laptop! I have windows vista... Please help me thanks

Go to: Control Panel, Manager of Devic, adapters to extend your network, click with the right button on your wireless network and click on uninstall.

Do not put a check in the box: remove the software driver for this device.

Restart your computer and Windows will install your wireless network.

If the problem persists, see if your computer manufacturer has an updated driver.

  • Win7 always tries to connect by using the default profile for the Native WIFI

Win7 always tries to connect by using the default profile for the Native WIFI
I defined a new WIFI profile for my home WIFI network. I use a USB of NETGEAR WNA1100 adapter. The profile is configured to connect automatically. I also moved over the default profile for the Native WIFI. Win7 always tries to connect to the default Native WIFI profile and not the profile that I created. Also, when I restart Win7, the default profile for the native WIFI moves to the top of the Profiles list. Also, when I try to change the default Native WIFI profile to use security WPA2 - PSK (AES) instead of WEP, it allows me to make changes, but he comes back to WEP after it treats changes and attempts to connect to the network. How can I fix so that Win7 will use my profile to connect to my home WIFI network and not the Native WIFI as the default profile. Win7 still connect using the default profile of NativeWIFI despite installing a different profile in Control Panel 'Wireless Networks '. I know that I can edit this profile by default, but anyone know how tell Win7 to use a different profile than the default? I tried to change the positions of the profile so that I want to use is facing up, but no, still uses the default. If I try to remove it, it comes back.
After removing the two profiles and adding the profile for my home network, Win7 automatically added the default profile for the return NativeWIFI. My profile is configured to automatically connect to the network using WPA2 - PSK (AES) security and the default profile for the NativeWIFI (use WEP security) is the Win7 Setup to manually connect. Also, Win7 puts the default profile for the NativeWIFI above my profile. Also, when I delete the profile by default the NativeWIFI, Win7 it always puts back and he goes over my profile. This is starting to resemble the Win7 manage wireless mechanism for allowing users to add and prioritize the profiles of school boards does not work. Here's another thing that happens: when I try to change the security for the profile default of NativeWIFI to WPA2 - PSK (AES) of WEP, Win7 allows me to make changes, but it is up to the WEP after it processes the changes and tries to connect to the network. This seems too much for me, it's a problem with Win7. If I could do this job, so I need not to set up a second profile.
The adapter I use a NETGEAR WNA1100 works correctly and I use it without any problem. I have is with Win7 and the interface to 'manage wireless networks '. It will not honor the fact that the WIFI profile that I created for my home network must be connected to automatically I installed. He always wants to connect to the default profile NativeWIFI even if I set up my home network profile to connect automatically. I can do a manual connection for my home network without problem. It seems to me that it is a question of Win7.
    Kind regards
    QRP

Thank you very much - Netgear seems to have finally accepted as the default network!  If all goes well it will stay like this

  • iPod touch will not connect to wifi, I have tried everything!

I used this touch iPod for over a year, and all of a sudden, it does not connect to wifi. I type the correct password, but he responds with "wrong password". I checked since then with several computers apple and iPod touch on the connection and that's fine. I even had these devices 'forget' the network and reconnect without any problem. I also had new devices to connect to the same wifi signal. I know that's not the router. I reset the network settings, reset the content and settings. I tried to restore then connected to iTunes and told to disable Find My first iPhone, but should not be my apple ID password. When you are connected to iTunes I put the iPod into recovery mode (connector pointing to iTunes screen show) and reset to factory settings and it won't always connect to the wifi. I'm looking for ways to solve this problem all over the internet and I'm out of ideas. The iPod is updated to the current 9.1 iOS. Someone at - it else I can try?

    It connects to other networks?

  • WiFi, tries to connect but do not. No error. Work on other machines

    Yes I saw this sticky.

1 5 PCs stopped connecting to the WiFi router. He had worked for a while. The SSID is listed as "automatic". Click on connect and it runs for minutes before stopping without error message. Nothing is displayed in the event viewer. Virus scan says own. I can run an Ethernet cable to it and it will work. It happened during a month. Because it is used occasionally by a 9 year old child I let go. Another computer is now too from Saturday. We ran on the second PC Ethernet cable and it will work. Recently the 9 year old had used this computer for school work. His computer (a 1st) worked very well until some time after starting his homework on it. Of course, it could be something else. It is now two machines not connect is not without error. Could be related to something he does inadvertently.

    Any ideas on troubleshooting?

Once you connect to a wireless network, the connection details are often recorded as a 'profile' in your wireless network application and re-used the next time the wireless network is met.  If this profile has been changed somehow, the default information collected may not be sufficient to authenticate on the subject at a later date.

Look in your system tray for your wireless internet application, double-click on it or otherwise run it on the screen.  Find a 'Profiles' button and open the window profiles.  Then, remove all the profiles you see here such that it is no longer a story for a connection attempt.  At a minimum, remove the profile that is associated with the SSID that you are trying to connect to.  After that, try to re-scan and reconnect to your network.
