My search bar redirects my queries to offered

Hello

When searching with the Google search bar in the upper right corner of the browser and the address bar my search results appear upward on the site of "www.google.co.il". I would like to than that default on Google.comor Google.co.zm [Zambian site].

I have uninstall completely Firefox 4 and upgrades to Firefox 5 lose all my favorites and customizations, without success. The 'Bing', 'Yahoo' and other engines work fine, so I assume it's a setting that has been changed and not a virus [also because it takes me to an official page of Google]. In addition, my homepage looking for work as it should.

According to me, it brings me to the page of Google in Israel is there, I currently live in Zambia, Africa and on the occasion of the web service is bounced by Middle Eastern suppliers, so maybe it's a clue.

Understand that I am not very technical on a computer [I can hold my own, BUT I'm sure I can really mess up if I wanted] so if I need to adjust the files host [or something] I'll need and appreciate the step by step instructions. I'm on a laptop HP with Windows 7 (64-bit).

Thank you in advance, I'm really at a loss.

  • How to make default in the address bar of research follows the selection of the top search bar right

    Hello

    at the time, my default firefox location bar search engine is dynamic, it always follows the preferred search engine on the right upper search bar

    but I clicked some ads in accident, and just go wrong

    my default address bar search engine always uses google, back then, it searches in wikipedia when I use the wikipedia on the top right search engine bar even when I'm just typing "firefox" to search in the address bar, it will be automatically redirected to wikipedia search for "firefox".

    TL; Dr., how can I make a default address bar search engine follows the search engine in the search bar?

    Thanks for your attention

    You can now move on to the beta version of Firefox which is Firefox23 already.

    Don't know exactly what your old configuration were able, but whatever happens and in the near future it must always be easy to change the right hand search bar to use the various search engines.

    At some point in the future there are possibilities the search address bar may be combined and there is also the possibility of a new system of Search-tab under development.

  • Configuration of the Firefox search bar

    Firefox 14.0.1 on Windows XP.

    The Firefox search bar is one of the most useful features; and I use it dozens, or even hundreds of times every day. Especially on Google and a few times on Amazon.

    Now recently all Google results are redirected Google.si; with mostly Japanese results. Even if I go to google, com wesite, it redirects me to Google.si

    Now, I know that I can use http://www.google.com/ncr to prevent redirection.

    The question is: How can I change the Firefox search bar to not redirect me?

    Thanks for any help with this!

    Google should not redirect more once you have visited the Google.com site, either by clicking on the link Google.com (setprefdomain? prefdom = US) at the bottom of the Japanese page or through the /ncr switch.

    Make sure that you keep cookies and perhaps local storage as well.

    Firefox is seriously p * ing me off today, what's wrong with the browser, it serves to be one of the best, now an absolute piece of software of the waste processed sound.

    Anway my problem is, AFTER upgrading firefox, I can't use my SEARCH BAR to look for anything!

    I continue to redirect to this

    file:///C:/users/Kamran/appdata/roaming/ToolbarInstaller/ToolbarInstaller/1.0.0.0/Google.html

  • Adding a search engine creates a bookmark instead of an element in the search bar

    Hi all

    right click in a search field on (almost) any web page offers the possibility to add the search in the search bar.

    In FF4, however, this creates a bookmark rather than add entry than the engine in the search bar.

    Everyone knows the same problem?

    Thanks and respect,
    Leo

    Talk you about the context menu item carry Add a keyword for this search...? It's for search bar location, using a keyword that you have defined in the properties of a bookmark (beyond the help of packaged keywords) that come with Firefox.

  • Problems when using two search bars for filter 1 table

    Hello

    I can't see why this code does not work. It seems that the variables are broken or something but not too sure.

    I had initially 1 single search bar on the page of the inventory where the results would appear and everything worked fine, but when I added a search bar 'master' on the home page, which redirects to the inventory list carrying the variable (which was sought), he comes into conflict with the search code original. Both work independently one another and fine when only the codes research is on work page, but once I combine the two search bars, it will not show the results.

    the Variables are reported (from the home page) without any problems, I did echo out on the inventory page.

    I decided to combine the variables to see if research can run on a single article of the code, instead of duplicates (I thought it can interfere) but no luck. (The code below is that with combined variables)

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    $search = ($_POST ['txt_search']) OR (_GET ['searchprops']) $;

    If (isset ($search))

    {//Only show what is sought

    $searchword = $search;

    $query_propsinv = "SELECT * FROM accessories WHERE name LIKE ' %". "." $searchword. "%' OR description AS '% '. $searchword. ' %' Color GOLD AS '% '. $searchword. "%' OR like ' %". " $searchword. "%' OR size AS '% '. $searchword. "%' OR weight AS '% '. $searchword. "%' OR LIKE ' %". " $searchword. "%' OR as '% '. $searchword. "%' OR location AS '% '. $searchword. "%' OR secondary AS '% '. $searchword. "%' OR the amount AS '% '. $searchword. "%' OR id LIKE '% '. $searchword. "%' OR BC AS '% '. $searchword. » %'";

    }

    {if (! isset ($Search))}

    $query_propsinv = "SELECT * FROM props."

    }

    $query_limit_propsinv = sprintf ("%s LIMIT %d, %d", $query_propsinv, $startRow_propsinv, $maxRows_propsinv);

    $propsinv = mysql_query ($query_limit_propsinv, $drama_database) or die (mysql_error ());

    $row_propsinv = mysql_fetch_assoc ($propsinv);

    This combination will never work:

    $search = ($_POST ['txt_search']) OR (_GET ['searchprops']) $;

    Try this combination:

    {if($_POST['txt_search'])}

    $search = $_POST ['txt_search'];

    }

    {ElseIf($_GET['searchprops'])}

    $search = $_GET ['searchprops'];

    }

  • Interactive report - Can customize you the search bar?

    I create a simple interactive report. By default, the search bar is above the report results. Is it possible to add another button in the search bar?

    If Yes, can you point me in the market to follow to do this, I searched but have not found anything similar to what I'm trying to do. I want one
    a refresh button on the search bar.

    Wes

    Wes,

    If you already have a button that works the way you want, then change according to step 1

    Step 1.
    You create a button named P100_REFRESH , to specify attributes of button id = "P100_REFRESH" (same name as the button yor used), this so that you can easily access this button in javascript.
    I don't know what that your "Refresh" is supposed to do, I guess it is to reload the page. You can do this by calling the builtin function + 'window.location.reload () +. To call this Javascript when the button is clicked, you must change the button action to * "Redirection of URLS" * then enter the target URL * "javascript:window.location.reload()"*. To call any another javscript function button can be made the same. With that, you would have a displayed button somewhere in this region of interactive report of yours.

    Step 2.
    The next step is to move the button in the search bar you wanted.
    I'm going to place the button after the 'Actions' + button for example_
    Now the action button can be found in jQuery (because it has a class of "apexir_ACTION_MENU") using the * $('div.apexir_ACTION_MENU') *
    So to move your button based on it, you can call

    $('div.apexir_ACTION_MENU').append( $('#P100_REFRESH') );

    You can put this piece of code in the * "Run when the Page loads" * section of the Properties Page, as she is called when the page loads and move the button to the specified position.

  • Can I get the Firefox search bar for not automatically, go to the site of the search engine I spend?

    The Firefox search bar seems to have changed since the last update. I understand that things are changing constantly and get used to them, but I wonder if it is possible to change the rear bar to the way it was, or at least understand why it changed.

    Basically, I used to be able to switch from search engines by choosing from the drop-down list, and would not put me right at the site of this search engine. He didn't actually bring me to the site once I hit the search button (or enter). It's quite annoying to have to remember to open a new tab before changing search engines in order to avoid sailing away from the tab that you are currently on, and it's also annoying that when you open a new tab and change the search engines, you are immediately taken to the site of this search engine. It feels like an extra step (ranging from 'the empty tab search engine page to search result' instead of 'empty tab to search result').

    I know it sounds like a minor complaint, no doubt, but I'm really really curious to know why it was changed. More important, I want to know if there is a way to customize the way it was.

    Thanks for any help!

    Many users have been raising this issue. I mentioned the same question in this post here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1086138

    In summary, it seems that the Firefox team is not intend to bring back the ability to return to the old bar search, which was possible (but in a very biased way) in older versions of 42. For now, you can either:

    • Download module additional classic restaurateur theme to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/?src=ss and then select the old search option
    • Go back to Firefox 42 and set the browser.search.showOneOffButtons property in Subject: config. However, with older versions poses a risk to the security that you won't have bug fixes provided with version 43
  • I can't restore the pre-FF34, same subject through search bar: config does not help.

    Today, my search bar came to randomly search bar 'new' post-FF34. Despite repeatedly activating / deactivating the browser.search.showoneoffbuttons in all: config, then by restarting the browser to a dozen times, this topic stubbornly remains with the new search. Does anyone know how to do so that he can keep looking for old? Or download the about: config switches to work again?

    The underlying code for the browser.search.showOneOffbuttons has been removed since Firefox 43 - there is no way to return to the range of older research.

    What I've read here, this - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ - extension restores the old regime of the search bar - but I have not tried yet, I went to ESR 38 when Firefox 41 was released.

  • How to view my search bar history

    The internetz provide much information on how to clear my browsing history, search and forms. But I want the contrary: I want to display the search history, I entered in the search bar. Search suggestions work fine, I just want to see my complete list of searches during a certain period, exportable preference in a text file. Is there a way I can do?

    Try:

  • I lost the google search bar

    I lost the little google search bar located on the right side. All the previous suggestions do not work.

    You have removed the buttons on the Navigation toolbar by accident.

    If you right click on an item to toolbar in normal mode (non-personnaliser) mode, then you can remove this item from the toolbar.

    • "Remove from toolbar" will remove this element of the Navigation toolbar and moves it to the palette to customize (Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize)
    • "Go to the Menu" will move this point '3' dropdown menu Firefox button bar
    • "Move to the toolbar" in the "3-bar" Firefox dropdown menu button will move that point to the toolbar

    You still have the Navigation bar with the visible address bar?

  • When I click on the toolbar URL or the search bar, it has a blue border. How can I get rid of this?

    The blue outline around the search bars and URL when I click on them is loud. Is there a way to disable them? With the help of 40.0.2 of 10 to win.

    Found a theme that does not include the blue boxes. The "Cartoon" look is no more.

  • cannot open FF, get the search bar

    I uninstalled FF. When I re-installed, all I get is the logo with a search bar. How can I open FF from there? I uninstalled is because the page was too large, followed instructions to decrease the size and everything went haywire from there.

    Please ignore my question above. It's a simple solution. It was just a matter of my putting my home page in the toolbar options fields. The positive side of all my frustration to get things and smoothly again, it is the page size problem that I had was resolved. I am a 74 year old, female, non - computer guru who has been able to solve all my problems PC on my own without disturbing families gurus. However, I want of course that it wouldn't take me long to do, especially when it's an obvious solution (and it usually is).
