  To expand on the answer of Paige, you need not to buy LR to download. For your second download, just get the "demo". When you apply your serial number to this one, it becomes a regular version, like the one you downloaded when you made your purchase.

  There are a few differences between the two, for example auto-analyze and intelligent filtering taking place in the background with PSE8.

  The interface is also slightly different. PSE 8 has a new Module of the editor with a drop-down menu while PES 6 Full Edition places, guided change and Quick Fix in a Module separate difficulty.

  In my humble OPINION PSE6 has all the essential tools, but I think you'd be better to learn on the version that you purchased that has also, unlike PSE6, the ability to open images in tabs.

  We changed how updates were deployed to a test, that's why you were probably the 34.0.5 on a computer and 34.0.0 on the other. The only difference between them is that 34.0.5 defines yahoo as the default search. You don't need to worry because of the different versions (who both were released at the same time BTW)
