  Support for the Nikon D750 was introduced in the last version of LR 5.7 and ACR 8.7 Novemder 18 2014.

  New updates for LR 4 were arrested when LR 5 was released on June 9, 2013. No other updates of bug fixes and new camera support.

  Nada, LR 4 will never support Nikon D750. The Nikon D750 was introduced on the market in September 2014 some 15 months after further development of LR 4 was arrested.

  You can use the Adobe DNG (free download for packing) program to convert your Nikon D750 Nef (raw) files in Adobe's DNG format which will allow you to import those into LR 4. This is the crutch provided by Adobe to allow the processing of raw files with versions out-of-date LR and ACR.

  You can also update the ACR for PS CS6 version 8.7 plugin that can also work with the raw files of the D750. For direct support in Lightroom, you will need to upgrade (paying) to version 5.7.

  You must go to the location: admin/Users / / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom

  Hold down the CTRL key and click on Lightroom, click on read the information and click the permissions tab.

  Provide the permissions to read and write to your identifier and then close.

  Then reopen Lightroom. You should be able to open Lightroom.

  If I understand the question - if this drive will be used for both copies of backup for Mac and Windows-R/W, you should leave a Windows machine format the drive for fewer problems.

  Mac will need software http://www.tuxera.com/products/tuxera-ntfs-for-mac/ for the ability of NTFS R/W or similar

  I would certainly recommend format the drive to remove a remnant of the software pre-installed on the new drive.

  If on the other hand to use Mac - and you cannot mount the drive, try to force mount DiskUtility > file > Mount

  If not can do - the reader is bad out of the box.

  You might be able to buy LR 5.x from third-party vendors such as Amazon or B & H. Adobe does not sell older versions of Lightroom.

  Hi Paul,.

  According to the notes above, you already have CS6 Design & Web Premium suite installed and enabled on your machine. If updates for Creative cloud will be unworkable on suite already activated.

  You must disable your suite by going to the Help Menu in one of your application on installed then restart the software and activate using Adobe ID that has the subscription of cloud.

  Then you can benefit from all creative cloud updates.
