  You can open it in any image editor or Viewer?  2 GB is the upper limit for a psd. Maybe you should convert the format of tiff file.

  El Capitan is a bit fussy about safety. Try

  Finder > go > connect to server...

  and enter the address of the server explicitly in the dialog box that appears.

  Yes, you must uninstall and reinstall.  Try to use the cleanup tool to uninstall it in order to ensure that the stage is set for a correct installation (I have not used it myself, so I can't say much on this subject).

  then when you get to the disk prompt run the command >: CHKDSK /R

  then type exit, remove the cd and boot into windows.

  You do not give us the exact words, but I guess that this message appears on the screen, like on a regular PDF with this message. If so, ignore the message and save the file in the usual way on your desktop. Now open in Adobe Reader.

  I tried both.  Actually, what I did to resolve this was to ADE 3 version to uninstall and reinstall version 2.  Not sure if it was uninstall and reinstall or version, but it works now.  Thanks for your respone!
