I uplaod a file on my account. . Is my account the only one who ever has access to this file, unless I start to share?

I create an anonymous link. A user clicks on the link and access the file. Is it downloaded on their computer for rendering, or is it rendering at adobe?

Portfolio files are managed differently?  Should the receiving user create an adobe id? There is additional protection? Adobe password protection?

Is special software required on the computer of providers (linux, Mac, windows) to read a file?  (Sent by ordinary e-mail portfolios require a recent adobe reader & flash on the destination computer.)

I link to a specific recipient. Are - those - providers necessary for the creation of an acrobat for access control ID?

Preview before the user can see is made by Adobe. The file is downloaded when the user press the download button. We modify the file, but we do virus scanner when it is initially loaded, and we don't download if we detect a virus.

It takes only a web browser to display the preview of the file. Depending on the type of a PDF document, it is, it can be seen with no Adobe PDF viewers, or if it uses certain features of PDF, it may require Adobe Reader or Acrobat and possibly an updated version of Flash, as you say.
