I can't hide legend column on a chart?

OBIEE 11 g, I would like to hide (not exclude) a legend (or column) in a chart. This is because the graph has a link to another report and I need information to pass on filters in the details of the page when the user clicks on the chart. However, I do not want to show the data on the chart. Is this possible? Thank you.

You can use the columns hidden in a graph. You can't have the hidden column in the chart itself, it must be defined as hidden in the criteria (the column-online hidden properties) tab.

  • I can't hide the column grid overlay in Adobe Muse?

    Hello

I would like to know whether or not I can hide the column grid overlay in the Muse?

Reason is I want the faster preview as I can get, because I saw the page quite often.

Usually, I click on Cmd - P and wait 6-7 seconds before the Web page is displayed in the Muse in preview.

When I click on Cmp - E to generate HTML and jss files, it takes about the same thing.

So I thought why not hide the column grid and watch the page as a preview immediately. Something like Cmd - W in Indesign.

    Is this possible?

  • Hide pivot column

    Hello

I had a strange req on hide a column in the PivotTable in obiee 10.1.3.41, the example below.
I have 6 columns region, Qtr, product, sale, Qtd sale, % sales of kind.
I took the region and Qtr in rows, type of product in sales tailor-made and coumn. The type of product are Tv, Mobile, laptop.
When the report was generated will be showing sales for all product lines, but I don't want the sales of laptops Qtd and percent sales that I need only the sales of portable computers where, with respect to other product lines, I need to show sales, sales Qtd, % sales.

    Laptop TV Mobile

Qtr region sales | Qtdsales | % sales | Sales QTD. Sales Sales %

Can we have an approach to achieve this goal.

    Thank you

    Hi David,

When we write the instruction box in two columns Qtr sales and the % of sales, the data display is null, but displays the column header for ex:

    Laptop

sale | QTR sales | % of sales

    100 null null
    null null 200
    300 null null

The column header is there, which have null values. Need to hide the title too

    Thank you

But aren't the other types of products showing the values? Remember, although visually, it seems that there are "many columns" which have 'QTR sales' and 'sales %', they are just two columns which separate out when Type of product is in the columns section. You will have to live with the headers to display. This is the "correct" answer

  • How to hide a column in OBIEE 11 g

    Hello

I'm trying to hide a column of the dashboard layer presantation of the OBIEE 11 g. But it does not work.

    I do the following.

    Open the column permissions tab.
    Had no access to everyone.
Didn't give no access to the user/Application role.

When I go on the web, the column appears in the list of tables. But, when I select the column and press the result, is not the outcome.

This means, by following the steps above, it is restricting the data but the visibility of the column is already there.

Same way as it works for OBIEE 10 g. Could if it you please let me know this feature has been removed from 11g or if she is still there then how we can reach that.

    Thanks in advance
    Niraj

  • Trying to hide a column but the header reappear on the following pages

    Hi all

Here is my little problem, I have a table, a bit normal. What I try to do is the following:

I wish I could hide a full column based on the data. I was actually able to hide a column, but my problem is that when the table breaks into a second page, "header cell" on the second page of the column I hid reappear.

Here's how I did my stash:

-In table Initialize script, I check a condition, and if this condition is met, I'm hiding the header cell.

    If (Verif.name4_we.rawValue == "" or Verif.name4_we.isNull) then

    HeaderRow.Cell3.presence = "hidden".

    endif

-For normal lines, I always check the same exact condition and if the condition is met, I hide the cell.

    If (data. Page1.test.Table1.Verif.name4_we. RawValue == ' ' or data. Page1.test.Table1.Verif.name4_we. IsNull) then

    .its presence $ = "hidden".

    endif

This facility works pretty well if I only have one page:

    Before.png
5 is my header name (I know it might be confusing, I'm sorry), it's page 1, column 6, and 7 are in fact hidden.

It's what happens on the following pages:

    after.png
As you can see, only the header reappear, you can clearly see that the elements are still hidden, but because the header appear, it looks
as there was a full column.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be my problem?

    Thank you very much!

Are you able to change the width of your columns?

This is the last trip, I did:

You must first, double-click the rule to open the palettes of drawing AIDS (or go into the top-> palettes-> drawing AIDS menu) and set the units to Points.

You need tables and a structure, a table which will show real information and a structure that will be imported into your program with the correct width (column DialogResult.Cancel will have a value of 0.001 in the structure). The structure is hidden in the page layout.

In your table initialize script, write something like this:

Set the width of columns by using our structure.//Empty imported have a width of 0.001

var width = Concat (data. Page1.struct.Col1, "pt."

    data. Page1.struct.col2, "pt."

    data. Page1.struct.col3, "pt."

    data. Page1.struct.COL4, "pt."

    data. Page1.struct.col5, "pt."

    data. Page1.struct.col6, "pt."

    data. Page1.struct.col7, "pt."

    data. Page1.struct.COL8, "pt."

    data. Page1.struct.col9, "pt."

    data. Page1.struct.col10, "pt")

    Table.columnWidths = width

Explanation: You concatenate each rawValue of your table that contains the width of your columns with "pt" (the unit), in this way, you can set the widths of all columns in a single command (Table.columnWidths = width).

This should resize the entire column, including the header. (It works on my side)

Don't bother to ask if you have any other questions

No out-of-the-box, but there are several workaround solutions if you want to continue an any of them:

    (1) use a view selector. A single report will be a pivot table with the column, the other will have the same report less column. Users can switch reports.

    (2) use a column selector. The two choices would be this column or an empty space. If white is chosen (because the user has no values), the column "will disappear" according to the report.

    (3) guided use NAV. This method involves the intervention of the user. Build a small report using the single column and put a filter "is not equal to" 0. Because there is only a single column, so all lines are 0, the report returns no rows.

Use this report in the properties of guided navigation from one section of the dashboard. Assign to this "If the report returns lines" and put the report that contains the column in this section. Now add another article on your table edge and in the properties of guided navigation of this section, set on "If the report will return no rows" and it points to the small report as well. In this section, put a second version of your report without the column in it.

When the column contains all zeros, the second section with column will not display in it; the first section is not displayed. When at least a line contains a value not zero, the first section is displayed with the column, and the second part will not be.

  • 11g - change number of columns in the chart legend

In 10g, we could define the number of columns in a chart on additional graphical Options legend... Tab legend. 11 g, I can not simply find this option anywhere in the graph properties. Has it been removed in 11g, or am I just blind?

Yes this option is over now. Only option is to add the legend display and place accordingly. Hope replied.

  • Is it possible to hide / show columns in the dashboard?

    Hi all

It is my very first post in this forum OBIEE.

My requirement is to allow users to select what they want to see answers of columns asking in dashboard. For example in the application of responses he is 10 columns and 5 of them are hidden. Is it possible to change this property hide these columns hidden in the Dashboard?

    Thanks in advance.

If you are thinking about a multiple selection prompt that has your names of columns as values, then no, you can't. But don't forget to uncheck the "Automatically refresh when a new column is selected" at the top of the display of the column selector. This will allow your users to choose all the appropriate columns before clicking on the button 'Go '. Which ' forget to mark the message useful (s) (at the top right of the post there) If you helped.

    Thank you!

  • Hide a column in a table view, but show it in another

I need to hide a column in a table view, but display it in another view of table in the same report. Is this possible?

Any help on this is appreciated.

    Hi, VNC,.

If you're clever with javascript, you can probably write a script that would set the DISPLAY None CSS property to hide the column in the table view you want, but don't leave in the view that you want.

  • How to hide a column in a RTF based XML output

I have a XML output that has a column called STATE of a "REJECTED" or "PROCESSED"

I have another column called REJECT_DESC. This is null when the State is PROCESSED and it fits the description of rejection if the status of this line is REJECTED.

In a RTF I want to show if the value of REJECT_DESC if the line has a status of "REJECTED".

How can I show only this column when she is rejected?

I have the group by the State, so the report separates the lines... but how to hide the column? I don't want a column null

    Thank you

I think that the STATUS will be same in the XML data, and you have two lines in your table. A line for all the column headings and another line for repeating group for these column values. So you can simply keep,

Reject the Description //row1 the title of column
    row2 column values

  • Hide a column in a view, but show in other

    Hi all.
I need to hide a column in the view of the 'Table', but the column should appear on the "PivotTable".
I know we can hide pivot (exclude) and show on table, but I want to know if the opposite is possible.

This is necessary because I do a selector to display for writeback. And I don't want to see all the columns to writeback table mode. But he needs to be there on the PivotTable.
Please let me know if it is possible.
    Thank you.
    Vinay

    Yes, we can do that.

Extend the check on the 'skin' in the tab formatting of column you want to display in the table.

Now, duplicate, the same view and in the pivot table column initially you will not see the displayed column.

Now in the properties check on "hidden" in the "topics"format"and you won't see her again and now uncheck the 'hidden' and shoud you will see the column displayed in the pivot view"

This way, you will have the column hidden in the table view and displayed in the PivotTable.

    It may be useful
