I can't install iTunes 9.1 on a Windows Vista system

I try to install iTunes 9.1 and get this message

"An error occurred during the installation of assembly'policy, 8.0, Microsoft, VC80, CRT, Version-"8.0.50727.4053", type ="win32-policy", publickeyToken ="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", the architecture of the processor ="x 86"." Please refer to help and Support for more information"

I downloaded and used the uninstall software on all software iTunes without success.  Am looking for help here.

If no chance with Revo don't take a look through some of them.

Have you tried right clicking on the shortcut to the program, or the .exe, or uninstall programs and selecting the option "Run As Administrator"?

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/929135

Have you tried to clean your Temp folder, you can do this by typing folder in the Start Menu RUN box.  This will open your Temp folder, there, you can remove all Windows will allow you to do.

It may be necessary to show both hidden and system files and also uncheck 'Hide known file types' in Control Panel / folder Options / view to navigate to the mentioned location of Temp.

This example may or may not work for you, with your configuration of the program or the program uninstall?

"It seems that the"Run as Administrator"command gives you administrative privileges only, and they are not enough to install Java (and OpenOffice, by association). To work around this problem, you must actually connect to an administrator. Open a command prompt with admin rights by clicking Start, type cmd in the search/run box, hit CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER. At the prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

Then disconnect from your regular account and record as an administrator, you should be able to install the program. When you are finished, open a session to your regular account and, for security reasons, disabling the account administrator for assistance:

«net user administrator / active: No.»
