I can't open links on Web sites. Any thoughts on how to fix it?
Some links may be open, but others do not. I can tab links, but not all are available. I can't scroll up and down arrows on the right w, but have enter the bar and run it up and down. I can order things online, but usually cannot get to the cart to check out and pay. Here are safe sites, like Kohl and JcPenneys. Very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had to replace my HARD drive in my computer. I installed my Windows XP Home SP2 disc. After installation, I used my SP3 upgrade drive and my drive to upgrade to IE8. After you install all my drivers, I tried to get Windows dates and discovered that I could not access the Microsoft web sites. I get Internet Explorer cannot display this page. I tried to find out why this is happening and how to correct the situation, but have not found an answer that works yet. Can someone give me an answer to this question.
I have another (used) computer that I formatted the HDD installed and on Windows 7 and have had no problems to access the Microsoft web sites on. It uses the same modem cable like the other computer so I guess that everything is ok with my Internet connection. This problem seems to be only with Windows XP Home SP 3.

Please check that SP3 is installed:Start | RunType:winverPress OK.Also, tell us what you mean by "trying to get Windows dates" since there are two ways to do this! -
Hi, MS edge taken control of my Adobe PDF after an update install yesterday. I solved since then, and all Office pdf files appear, as before, as Adobe PDF files .
The problem arises when you access PDFs on the web - they all open as long as Edge PDF Adobe not and there is no option to highlight text, copy, etc.
How can I solve that all the pdf file is opened through the web open as Adobe pdf
Chrome is the default browser so quite why Edge symbol is on the web from pdf files is beyond my limited tech knowledge

Firefox opens but does not open links or Web sites
Basically, fire fox will open to the home page and that's all. If I type in the search bar, or participate in success and link/navigation bar, nothing will happen. By clicking on a bookmark or a link from the history won't do anything. FIrefox does not. Using another browser gets the results of work, so my internet isn't the problem.
I went back to firefox 3 to get things working again. I tried to re - install firefox 18 again and everything installs successfully but nothing works.
So, any help would be appreciated.

You use Outlook? If so, then go to tools downloads, Trustcenter and uncheck the box at the top of the window on the right.

I use Acrobat DC and I'm unable to open a PDF file on a Web site. Whenever I click the link it says that my drive is not updated. I've updated the player several times now and it always used open. Other documents open on this Web site. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.pdf
It is an XFA file that is not detected by the PDF viewers in the web browser.
Please right click on this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.pdf & select ' Save As... ', now, to save the PDF file to your desktop & open with Adobe Reader.
I'm sure that it will work as it worked on my end.

Firefox 42.0 automatically load a tab 'option' as if a Web site is selected. How can I fix it? I can't find any navigation to prevent that from happening. This started when "ask.com" hijacked my browser. I can now load my selected home page, but can not get the tab 'option' to appear automatically as well as my other sites selected in the tabs above. Firefox uses a vertical bar ("|") in order to separate several home pages.
You can check the setting of the home page to see if the subject: preferences page is included among the home pages (| subject: preferences #general).This can happen if you click on "use current page (s) ' to set the home page and about: preferences is open in a tab.
You can pin the tab with the subject: the preferences page through the context menu of the tab to avoid including: preferences for layout home page if you want to use this button in "Options/Preferences > general".
To set a page as the home page, you can drag the globe/lock for the home button. -

I need help in opening an existing Web site
I try to open an existing Web site and change it. When I click on get I see a folder and when I open it to any advice I receive is the graphics.
Sorry, no, I'm not an Adobe employee, (there is really not much here) I am just a user of software like you.
Look at your site settings...
1. go to Site > Manage Sites, and then click the site that you are trying to work with
2. click on edit
3. under servers, click the remote server
4. click on change
5. under Basic, you must have your FTP address (usually yoursitename.com for GoDaddy, it can sometimes be an IP address with other hosting companies), your username and password, then the root directory
6. under the root directory, make sure that you have one of the two /public_html/ or httpdocs / (call GoDaddy to check the type of server that you are using so that you get the right root)
7. test the connection
8. If it works, when you connect using the window files expanded (with the server on the files and from left to right) you should see a list of files, including your index.html, some GD files formmailer.php and missing.html page and all the rest of your current site files.
9. If you see this list, click on Get and DW should prompt you with "Get entire site?
10. click on Yes and the entire site will be downloaded to your machine. From there, open the file locally, edit and download

I worked on the Web site of our Church and all of a sudden this week, my computer does not connect to the site. I get a message saying that the connection to the server was reset while the page is loading. Can anyone has any ideas on how I fix?
