I can't print to PDF using acrobat 8 on windows 7 64 bit

I have recently upgraded to windows 7 and have installed CS3 (Acrobat 8).  Whenever I try to print a document in PDF format it gets stuck in printing only and has a printing error.

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 7. Time to upgrade.

PDF is a format of destination end - even if Acrobat is able to make minor changes in a file (for example, correct typos) is not a word processor or desktop Publishing application. Major changes must be made in the original document and the PDF re-exported.

You can copy the text to a file by selecting and right-clicking, or you can save the file in the form of regular or formatted text. To make small changes to the text on a page, use the Editor tool - see the help file for more information.

  • How can I create a button print a PDF using Acrobat Pro, that will also work on iOS?

I created a button to print a PDF document using Adobe Acrobat Pro on my Mac.  The Print button works perfectly on different browsers on my Mac and Windows (running under Parallels Desktop) as well.

When I open the document on my iPad button print does not yet appear.  I'm guessing that it is a problem with Flash, but it can be informed about East of the action of the button to access the print menu item that does not exist in iOS.

Is it possible to create a button print using Acrobat Pro, which works on a Mac and Windows, but also on iOS?

To start printing by clicking on a button, the button must have either an action of type "run the menu item" or use the method JavaScript 'print '. As you may have guessed, the former will not work because there is no menu item to run, and may not work if the particular PDF Viewer you're using supports. I'm not aware of all that are on iOS.

The button does not appear because you are probably opening in the default PDF Viewer, which does not support forms. If you open the form in Adobe Reader, you will see the button but it wouldn't work.

  • How can I create a PDF using Acrobat 7.0 in Windows 8 of a drawing on a Visio 64 - bit system

I used to be able to create a PDF with Acrobat 7.0 to a drawing file in Visio XP. Now I'm on a 64 bit system, no Adobe printer can be installed, and it is not supported.  Help?

On a 32-bit system, there is a solution. I don't think that it is possible to get AA7 to work on a 64 bit system (no one has reported success and only 1 suggested success with AA8). You may be able to print to a PS file, and then open that in distilling. I suspect that this is the only way and you need to find a decent printer PS driver to do so. I suspect that the driver printer (and associated AcroTray) will not work in a Win8 64 bit - Acrobat and Distiller can.

  • FrameMaker 10, Win 7 64 bit - can't print to pdf and need benchmarks

How can I print to PDF with FrameMaker 10 on Windows 7 64 - bit OS. I need benchmarks. I can save as a PDF, but the registration mark not displayed. When I print to PDF, no file is generated. When I print to a file ps with distilling and registration of marks on it, recording brands still do not appear.

Adobe has this problem before? I think that their desktop publishing tool would be able to print to PDF and print to PDF with check marks! Otherwise, how a document can get print production?

seems that you have not installed the current patches.

Please check this with the Help menu > about FrameMaker.

    The current Version is 10.0.2

And if you ' r runnung 10.0.0 installing current hotfixes.

I think that this problem has been resolved in 10.0.1.

I used to have installed on my pc Adobe Reader XI (11.0.10). I went for a few days, and when I logged on my pc I have installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. With this new software, I can't print my PDF now. When I try to print in the print area, I see all documents print, the rest is grey. Can you help me please?

Sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to say ("' I see print all documents ', ' because it's now been selected" ").

    Hi jofrisch,

You cannot print to PDF on Mac as the Adobe PDF printer is not available.

You can save the Adobe PDF file however.

  • compare two PDFs using acrobat to adobe via command line

Does anyone know how to compare two PDFs using acrobat to adobe via command line. I want to do this via command line, because we want to compare hundreds of files each day through some automated tasks in windows.

If the command line option is not available in acrobat format, then it is possible to use acrobat javascript API to perform this task?

Any kind of help will be greatly.

    Command line: not possible.

JavaScript: Possible, but very limited. Basically, the only thing you can do is simulate the clicking Compare Documents. The rest must be done manually.

However, it * might * be possible to automate this process a bit more using a plugin. Ask for more at the Acrobat SDK forum for more information...

  • Since the update to adobe vXl, I can't print. PDF files

I've updated to the latest version of V11 adobe reader and now I can't print any .pDF. He also stopped my Epson scanner, print a copy which I think uses Adobe as well. Please can someone help?

Hello Pat, sorry for the delay but the woman thought two solid days on this problem was enough.

I deleted Adobe v10 and re-installed V9.x. When I went to print a PDF file, it came to mean an error message, "must install a printer" I find it very confusing that the work of printing to HP test normal and fine print on this printer. Why Adobe v10 and V11 not give me this error message. Anyway to cut a long story short, I uninstalled the printer and could not re - install so to re - install the HP printer from scratch.

IT NOW PRINTS PDF and copies of my Epson printer.

One last question, now that it seems to be some corrupt, HP sotware dare update Adobe V11 or better to leave well alone?

Thank you very much for your advice and take the time to help, it's a great help to isolate the problem.

    See you soon

  • Until a few days ago I was able to print a PDF from Acrobat Reader ms in Windows 7.  Now I get "the document could not be printed."  The next panel says "there are no pages selected to print," even if all the pages have been selected.  Thoughts?

Until a few days ago I was able to print a PDF from Acrobat Reader ms in Windows 7.  Now I get "the document could not be printed."  The next panel says "there are no pages selected to print," even if all the pages have been selected.  I've uninstalled Reader and reinstalled, but the problem remains.  I also tried to repair the installation and that doesn't work anymore.

Thanks for the tip.  It turned out that kind Reader has been commissioning in protected mode.  I changed the setting and it prints now as before.

I can't print a pdf file.  I can print a word file, but not a pdf file. Can you help me?

    A few things to try.

Go in Edition > Preferences > Documents and PDF/A mode set to 'never '.

Then go in Edition > Preferences > (improved) security and uncheck the box "enable mode at startup protected.

If this does not work, you can always try by selecting 'Print picture' in the Advanced Print dialog box.
