I can't reverse two fingers scrolling (Synaptics).

Hello Hello, I have a Samsung series 3 laptop with windows 8.1. Recently, I lost my driver synaptics for my touchpad and re-downloaded from the Samsung website. . Before that happened, I could use my two finger roll with inverse sense. Now, there is no option/sprocket/questions mark to change. Is there any solution to this? Not being is not able to use the reverse controls is particularly frustrating. Thanks for the help!

Hello

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate your time and patience.

I would like to know, have you received an error with the error code when you try to install the device drivers from the Web of Synaptics site link which I provided?

I checked the driver download from the Samsung website you have provided.

When I checked the list of operating systems for which we can download the drivers, I was unable to find Windows 8. Drivers are available for the operating system "Windows 7 and Windows XP".

Device drivers are developed by manufacturers of devices, and in this case, it seems that Samsung has not yet released drivers for this device that can work with Windows 8.

I would ask you to contact the Samsung Support to check whether or not the compatible drivers for Windows 8 are distributed for the device.

Please point us on the State of the question, so that we can help you.

  • Cannot change scroll setting reverse two fingers on Acer Aspire Synaptics ClickPad V8.1

    Hello

I just got an Acer Aspire (excellent camera) with the intuitive two fingers scrolling on the Synaptics ClickPad V8.1, so I tried to reverse the trend. I went to the Synaptics Touchpad settings and then went to the settings on two fingers scrolling, but could only check/uncheck the first two above (select vertical and horizontal allow)-the rest was just gray and could not be clicked.
Did everything back to default and even created new profiles to see if I could change it then, but nothing helps. I may not have rights (Administrator) to change? Before I installed Windows 8 running.
Please advise and thank the community in advance.

I found the resolution on a post about another Acer laptop model.  It is real simple but I had technical support at acer ready to elevate my status of support at level-2.

3.) under 'Extra features', uncheck the option 'Zoom perfect.'

  • Synaptics touchpad two fingers scrolling does not work in the player to develop modern UI application Windows 8.1

I have a HP Envy TouchSmart UltraBook 4-1161er. Two fingers to scroll worked well in all modern user interface applications that come with the pre-installed operating system Windows 8.1, but the situation changed after the upgrade to Windows 8.1. Now this excellent and very useful two fingers scrolling does not work in the updated reader application. How to make it work?

If the problem is in the drivers, maybe, install the drivers the latest may correct this?

I tried to find the latest drivers for the touchpad Synptics in my ultrabook on the HP website, but it's the same old v16.5.3.3, I already have (published in may 2013). Synatics official site contains a link to the latest touchpad driver pack v17.0.19. Can I install it?

I would try to install the Windows 8.1 (64-bit) driver Synaptics touchpad available in the download section of your sleekbook web support before using compatibility mode.  If the current driver does not work for you, try the earlier versions available .

If you have no positive results, then use the compatibility mode (select Windows 8) on all three Windows 8.1 synaptics touchpad drivers, starting with the most recent.

To use compatibility mode to install the driver just softpaq to the right, click on the file and choose troubleshoot compatibility. Select Windows 8 and run the installer.

  • Fusion 7 & 8 - No. 10 Windows - edge browser - two fingers scrolling

Two fingers to scroll works everywhere except in the edge browser.  It comes in two different facilities.  A Fusion 7 and the other with Fusion 8.  In no 2 finger scroll work case.  Chrome, Safari, IE 11 as well as all other applications are very well.

    Any thoughts?

Figured it out!   Turns out that I was running an app called WizMouse:

"WizMouse is a mouse development utility that makes your mouse wheel works on the window currently under the mouse pointer, instead of the window that currently has the focus." This means that you have to click on a window before being able to scroll with the mouse wheel. It is a way much more comfortable and more convenient to make use of the mouse wheel. »

I use this app for years and had completely forgotten about it.  This functionality is now native with Windows 10 so it is not necessary.  Once I leave the app, scroll edge started working.

Hope this might help someone else with the same problem.

  • Two fingers scrolling does not work on my Mac in Firefox, but works in Safari. I think switch to Safari as my main browser. This can be corrected?

I reloaded Firefox as suggested. I clicked "Always" in System Preferences of scrolling. But none of these work. If Firefox does not resolve the problem of scrolling for Mac OS X, I have to use Safari as my main browser, because scrolling works there. I have used Firefox for almost 10 years, but this problem is very frustrating.

Right now, it is difficult to determine if the problem is hardware or software. To determine this, I would like you to reinstall the operating system. It will clarify all software conflict and allow you to start over.

First of all, please make sure that you back up your files. Here is information on how to proceed: backup of files (Windows 8)

  • Two fingers to scroll has stopped working in Windows 8

Earlier today, I started having a problem with some of my touchpad - two fingers scrolling gestures and the flick of three fingers do not work anymore, even if they worked perfectly well this morning. I tried to update the drivers, reinstall, and roll them back as far as possible, but nothing seems to fix. Curiously, however, multitouch gestures work, like the tap with two fingers to produce a "right-click" the gestures of vertical and lateral scan left/right also work correctly. I checked my Synaptics options and actions that do not work are always enabled.

I searched everywhere for a solution to this problem, but I can't find an answer anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an Asus laptop and it worked for me when nothing else. You will need to uninstall and reinstall the latest version of the so-called "Asus Smart gesture...

    Here's how...

    1) first of all, in your control panel, find the box "uninstall programs".

    (2) search "Asus Smart gesture" and uninstall that.

    (3) If your computer to restart after that, fine. If this isn't the case, very well.

    (4) now, you will have to go on the site of Asus here:

    http://support.ASUS.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=smart+gesture

Then select your operating system (probably 8.1 64-bit, but maybe you're still on 8.0 32-bit or 64 - bit... you know)

    (5) then click on "Touchpad" to go to the download area. Then click on the download single called WAY 'Global' selection (a Word). Download, save, run, install. If you have problems, because it is a compressed file, locate the application "Setup" (a Word) rather than the longer application called 'SetupTPDriver '.

    (6) now, reboot your computer. Your intelligent actions do not immediately work the bat after reboot. So he give a lot of 45, 60 or 90 seconds after the restart (something end there) and then you should notice that two fingers scrolling works again.

I hope this works for some Asus soulmate out there. It worked for me. I had updated my OS 8.1 Pro 8.1, and this particular feature had simply stopped working for me.
