  It is possible to send a text message (SMS) to a phone by email (look for "sms e-mail gateway"), but I don't know if you can join this way, i.e. MMS pictures.   Hi Alex,

  Welcome to the Microsoft Community forums.

  Use the Windows 8 feature from the Microsoft Account using a local account.  This will be asked to sign out and sign back with the new local account credentials. Now, do the same thing again and go back to use a Microsoft Account.  He will then enter the correct username account and password.

  Follow this link and see the section "to switch a Microsoft account to a local account.

  After the have converted to a Local account, convert using the Microsoft account.

  I had ongoing issues with my Mail months including Spindumps and just doesn't look good, so I changed the e-mail settings in the past according to the directives of the ISP, but now the incoming server is grayed out, more it's time to see if my overall situation needs some changes. As I am researching the current issue of the evolution of the e-mail settings, I see the information that can be linked to a larger problem, so I'm including that in a larger context.

  I use my Web site for most of my email accounts and received error messages indicating that the certificate is not valid. I contacted Hostway and learned that they have their own encryption and don't require SSL, but they said Apple mail works best if I use their specific settings instead of those I have. The server settings entering my accounts existing messaging site are shaded out and immutable. What is the best way to make changes without causing more problems?

  I tried to move the mail account plist.to the trash and restart hoping that would disable the accounts but it didi not work. Or I sign out to iCloud and make changes?

  In/Library/Application Support / Mail / Online Account Types/com.apple.updated.mailaccounts/MailAccounts.plist, the Account.plist includes an e-mail account which is Ameritech and not logged into my site.

  in Library/Mail/it is V2 and V3. V2 is V2/MailData/Accounts.plist. V3 contains no Accounts.plist. in MailData. I printed the Accounts.plist. and there are 22 pages of data. Each e-mail account is repeated at least three times and it seems connected to the when I made changes to the account settings in the past.

  This may be related to a larger problem because I have error messages related to the e-mail in the console.

  CREATE A NEW USER

  Go to system-> Preferences, create a new user in users and groups.

  Place in the new user by logging in under the Apple in the menu bar.

  Log in to the new user.

  You can skip the connection with an Apple ID, unless you want to test an iCloud account. Select continue, then jump.

  Open Mail and add your account. If it's a POP account, make sure that you do not select "remove copy from server after retrieving a message," on the Advanced tab.

  If you host your e-mail with Business Catalyst, it is possible to use the POP or IMAP. If you want to use the IMAP protocol, simply specify as 143 incoming mail server port, and ensure 'IMAP' has been selected in your e-mail client.

• My Windows Live Mail tells me I have 2 messages that failed and I can't send them or remove them.

Friday, I sent an e-mail to a college where I work part-time.  I checked the sent box and she had not been sent.  I typed a new message with a few changes and sent it.  Once again, nothing in the sent box.

  I should have been in this kind of business where if we messed up with a customer give us him some phone numbers of other clients and see if they could help them.  I was born in the wrong generation.

  I don't know what you've learned, but two things come to mind.  First of all if you had some kind of unrecognizable address on emails in question, they must remain in your Outbox.  If they are not in your Outbox, they will have to find in your sent items folder, you said that you have already checked.  If they came out, but the name part of the To: address was done somehow, you got a message in your Inbox to that effect.

  The other thing that causes things to not be sent would be a valid SMTP address in your configuration, but if that were the case, you wouldn't be able to send anything, so I guess that is not the case either.

  If none of the above is the case, I think I think about uninstalling and reinstalling WLM.  There is a new version that came on the back in April that caused a lot of people (including me) problems that are resolved by the process of uninstalling/reinstalling.  Be sure to export your contacts and any email you want to save in CSV files before uninstalling.
