I can't Windows media player to connect to my USB memory stick.

I went to my memory stick allows you to put music on it and windows media player does not connect to it. Because it does not connect it allows me to sync music....

I checked my computer and the USB memory key works very well over there... I can see it and windows media player will play the songs that are on it.

I used the hardware diagnostic tool and it came with 4 ALERTS

Driver USB ms problem... SD... XD/SM and CF Reader.

I tried a few different restore points... .but he stll do not work.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Because the USB works on the PC, appears not a hardware problem, but a kind of connection problem with Media Player.  Please repost your question to the Windows Media Player Discussion Group at: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.multimedia.windows.mediaplayer where experts in Media Player will be more than happy to help you with your problem.

  • I can't burn my CD on Windows Media Player error "connect a burner and restart the player.

I have a bunch of files music m4a songs bought on iTunes that are on the Windows Media Player. I insert a blank CD, and he refuses to burn the songs. I put it in my laptop, go to the option burn and it says "connect a burner and restart the player ' and doesn't read that there is a CD in there, even if there is. Even if I put all the songs I want in it, it won't work. I need help.

No problem, at least it's a step forward that it is not only the media player.

At this point if the CD-ROM drive does not at all, it could be a couple of things.

    1. First of all, just make sure under the folders under the view tab Options, that the "hide empty drives" is not selected. It could make your CD-ROM writer hidden just because there is no data in there at the moment.
    2. The drive appears not could also be that it is disconnected, but it's not terribly likely.
    3. Check Device Manager to see if the CD drive is listed, and if she has any warnings associated with it. You can open the Device Manager by performing a search in the search box of the start menu.  Locate the CD drive in the list, and then double-click it to view the status. He can say everything is fine, or can provide details on all issues.  Also, while you're here, you can check an updated driver. But this brings me to the next point...
    4. If the driver he is already up to date, it is interesting to watch your your model computer manufacturer Web site see if they have a newer version. Sometimes Device Manager detects outdated drivers and uses, when the manufacturer's website has something more recent.
  • Windows media player cannot connect to the internet

He will not play some native titles to a hard drive, as it wants to update the licenses, but he proposes to update by downloading the components but then said it was impossible to connect to the internet.   My computer is internet and everything works fine, except that Silverlight will not play my Netflix if I connect my Bluetooth headset until I open it.  What can I do? I can't find the windows media player settings.  I want HP with windows 8. Core i7.

    Hi Daniel,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    • The problem is specific to some of the tracks, or all?

If you're having trouble playing a song or video, it may be because the file is protected by the management of digital rights (DRM). DRM is a technology that content providers sometimes use to ensure that the digital music and you get them video files are used and distributed according to their usage rights.

    Consider possible situations:

    a. When you try to play a file that is protected in the player, the Player checks if you have rights to use valid media on your PC. If you do, the player plays the file.

If the player does not find valid media on your PC usage rights, or if rights to limit what you can do with the file, the player can not read the file. In this case, you will see an error message tells you why the file could not be read.

    b. it is protected by rights?

    (i) slide in the right edge of the screen and then click Search (if you use a mouse, point to the corner bottom right of the screen, move the mouse to the top and then click Find.).

(ii) sign up Windows Media Player in the search box, and then tap or click Windows Media Player.

(iii) pass on any or right click on a media file, press or click Properties and then press or click the rights of use. If the file is protected by rights, the license terms appear in the media used rights box, and you will see what usage rights you have. If nothing appears in the media used rights box, it might be because the file is not protected, the usage rights are not on your PC or that you are playing a file that is being listened to on your PC (for example, you play content subscription directly from an online store website).

If the problem persists, I suggest you run the troubleshooter in Windows Media Player and check.

    a. press the Windows key + X , and then select Panel.
    (b) in the search box, type Troubleshooting , and then click on troubleshooting.
    c. click on show all and then click on settings of the Player Windows Media.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • I can't Windows media player to play a playlist in sequence. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I have several tracks in each playlist and does not know how to get the player to play in the sequence.  It doesn't seem to be any significance that we play at a given time.

Did you accidentally put Media Player to Shuffle?  It is located to the left of the playback controls, it looks like two arrows crossing each other.

  • Mobile device does not synchronize with Windows Media player

My mobile device (Pharos Traveler 137) running windows media 10 mobile player is not detected by Windows Media Player 11 running in Vista.  Connected and synchronized correctly for months, it is not so now, even if the mobile device is detected by the computer and synchronizes correctly for other purposes such as outlook, files, etc..   How to get Windows Media Player to detect once more unit (specifically the card 8 GB storage) in the window of synchronization?

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes before the show?
    2. is the device detected on the computer?

Step 1: We recommend that you check if the sync settings are correct. To do this, follow these steps.
    1 open Windows Media Player.
    2. click on the arrow below the Sync tab, point to the device, and then click Advanced Options.
    3. the Properties dialog box for your device is displayed. Tab sync, box start sync when device connects checkbox.
    4 restart the media player.
The next time that you want sync, connect the device to your computer and click on the Synchronize tab, then click Start Sync.

Step 2: Add a device to sync in Windows Media Player.
    1. start Windows Media Player and connect your portable device into a USB port on your computer. A box of "Windows Media Player ‑‑ Device Setup" appears, showing that he recognized the device and provides an opportunity for you to name your device.
    2. read how the player will sync your device, which is directly under where you type the name of the device. If storage of the device is more than 4 gigabytes, for example, and your library on Windows Media Player fits on this device, the player chooses automatic.
    3. selection of automatic synchronization means that your device will reflect all your Windows Media Player library and it will do so that whenever it is connected. Click on "Finish".
    4. to synchronize only some of your library when the player chose automatic, you can choose what will sync when you open Windows Media Player. Click on the portable device in the right pane and drag the items you want to synchronize with this device.
    5. selection of a manual synchronization indicates that the player has detected that the portable device has no place for your entire library. Click on "Finish". Open Windows Media Player, select the portable device in the right pane and drag the items you want to synchronize with this device.
