  I had an older version of identity selector (1.8.8). Upgrading to 1.9.3 got everything working again. I was under the impression that the modules would automatically udpate themselves, but I guess I was wrong.

  I contacted Verizon and I shared my screen with them and they changed some settings.

  They changed the port to 465 and connection from none to SSL/TLS security. They had me also to change my password to 8 characters instead of 6, and then it worked.

  Since this last update Thunderbird was a security update, maybe he didn't like my settings. But I never thought these things myself.

  Thank you. There was no error message for the download of messages. In the error log, I found a comment that the certificate is already existing and should request a new later. To send messages, the error message says to check the SMTP settings. These were my correct provider.
  I have a found a solution by creating local folders in my old profile, by transferring all e-mails in local folders and to then by copying only the local folders into a new profile. It works now. I have just all old messages in separate folders, which for me is not a problem.

I have iPhone 6 s. already tried hard restart.  I have deleted the email app and put it back, but dread the loss of all the data of the last email... but I'll do it if it has a chance to solve the problem of dough/photo/insert.

  Open a new mail - in the body of the message - type any text or letter - then hold down the button on the screen and you will be able to add photos

  I can receive but not send messages. My outgoing server settings are correct. The server (Network Solutions) works very well. I changed the password, no luck. Can I send and receive from a mobile phone. Grateful for the help quickly.

  On this basis, please go to the menu Tools > accounts settings > outgoing (SMTP) server and change connection to zero security. Normal password authentication method and set the port based on your ISP.

  Thanks Steve - now all of a sudden, he started to work very well - typical!  (It was off since yesterday morning) So I don't really know what the problem was. But thanks for the link: this could be very useful in the future.  I checked my smtp server and it showed as "guests".  I send them again once say that I thought it must be a problem at the server end, as the error message says the server thought I was spam!  And Yes, I use webmail ok.

  We went from DSL to FIOS. As a result, I received a new email address, but arranged with Verizon to use my original lequipetv.fr e-mail address. I had no access to mail the original account for several weeks after the conversion to FIOS. For some reason, at that time, that I've updated Thunderbird, the original e-mail address and the password were no longer recognized by Verizon. After working with them, they were able to restore access. But then, later that day, I was unable to open a session. Back to Verizon... went through the same procedure and got things restored again. It has been a few days now. If all goes well, it will continue to do so indefinitely.
