    3. what operating system is installed on the computer?

In the event that you use the Windows 7 operating system you can follow the steps below and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

Locate the service associated with the restoration of the system or Volume Shadow Copy Service is started after the computer is restarted. This service can be stopped by some viruses as well, so you can try to run a scan of your computer.

    To check the service

    (a) click Start

    (b) in the start search box type Services

    (c) click on - RUN as ADMINISTRATOR

Check if the below mentioned services has mentioned State and type start.

    Step 2:

To verify that double-click the service, and click the Dependencies tab.

This service must be started before the restore point is created automatically or manually.

    Method 2:

My Toshiba laptop is unstable (some programs start not; not certain security updates), and I suspect bad sectors. I tried...

    2. when I try to run CHKDSK, it says that it cannot lock the system as Win 7 is running and I want to run Chkdsk automatically at the beginning upward? I say Yes.
    3. when I restart, it loads normally to my Windows login screen without automatically running chkdsk.
    How to run chkdsk?

    Hello

I suggest to maintain the computer in clean boot mode and check if it works. If it works, you have to find the program that is causing the problem by following the steps from the link below, and then uninstall and reinstall the program and check if that helps.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After the troubleshooting steps, see step 7 in binding boot is a way of putting your computer to normal startup mode.

  • I've restored my Mac from a time machine backup. Now Dreamweaver bounces on the dock but will not start. What should I do?

I also had problems with Captivate after the restoration.

My Dreamweaver is CS6 for Mac.

Thank you, that's good ideas! But my problem has proved to be different and much simpler kind of thing I expected and your solution would solve. My Mac not TOTALLY restore backup. Technology on the Apple store recommended re - install the operating system to a new version and then all my software and files from my time machine. If that's what I did. I don't remember that Mavericks does not include Java runtime, and I never realized that some of my Adobe products require it. Download and install Java and now my Adobe products work as expected.

  • Edge s430 green LED power but will not start

    Hello

This morning I was browsing the internet, using Skype on my s430 to edge with no problems. The battery got low so I plugged on the power supply, plugged my phone into the usb port to recharge and it left while I got breakfast. When I returned the laptop is not turning on when I open the lid.

I waited and hit a few keys on the keyboard (it usually does). But nothing... tried pressing and holding the power button / stop for 30 seconds, nothing - no lights, no fans.

The battery is sealed inside, so I can't do much - I tried unplugging the AC, by pressing the power button 15 times second intervals, then hold for 30 seconds, but no change - no lights, no fans.

When I plug in the adapter, the Green led lights solid - not flashing do not or anything like that.

    Edge s430 - stock i7 computer 3364cto laptop.

    Any help appreciated.

Fixed in the case where someone else shows - laptop computer Unplugged, unplugged the wall charger - left both like this for 24 hours all reconnected and tried and it worked - no idea what was wrong but everything works fine now.

  • Installed, but will not start

I do a free trial of the cloud of Adobe.  I tried to download the Photoshop application.  Have downloaded without problem and now my app handler said it installed but it won't start.  How to open the app?

You're on Mac or Windows? Under Windows, you should see an item for Photoshop in the menu start and so not being able to find Photoshop under the Program Files directory. On Mac, you should see Photoshop under Applications.

  • Recovery disk will not start on Satellite 1110

I try to use the recovery on a Satellite 1110 CD. I want to just install fresh Windows. The necessary files are supposed to be on the Toshiba recovery CD that accompanies it.

So I did what the brochure says, and booted up the laptop to the top with the correct CD in the drive, while pressing 'C '. The notebook ignored the CD ROM and loaded Windows as usual. I repeated three times, each time that the CD ROM whirs a bit but will not start and Windows loads as usual. I have replaced 'C' for F12, chose the CD ROM drive in the list and repeat the process several times. Yet once it wouldn't boot from the CD-ROM.

I looked at the content of the CD ROM A single MB 447. File of the GHS. The file icon is that generic type "Windows does not know what program this icon is intended to" deals.

Google believes it is a ghost file and must the ghost installed to run it. This bitch never came with Ghost.

Anyone here knows a remedy to this problem?

I put really know what exactly is happening here, but please make sure that you start with recovery CD number 1/2 2/2. The installation of recovery, you can just start with the first recovery CD. Also try please set CD-ROM as firs boot device in the BIOS.

  • HD will not start from host organization but will be of a different MBP

    ((Two Mbit/s: 1) mid 2010 i5 model 1) Middle model i7 2011.

From here, I will call them as "i5 and i7.

The i7 was having starting problems. The taskbar would charge about 2/3 of the way in which it would "hang up" then the screen turns off. Unsuccessfully trying to boot in safe mode. Verbose mode would freeze as well. Tried the single user mode and run ' fsck - fy "and it made no difference. No idea how fix permissions with the utility El Capitan disk but I'm not sure it would make a difference. Doesn't it?

I then did a backup/clone of the i7 to a new external storage disk. All programs and files are successfully transferred.

Then I wiped the i7 with a clear three-pass and reinstalled OSX.

Error #1) I have not test to see if the hd now Virgin began its host computer before you restore the old files.

Error #2) I put the clone on the i7 copy using Super Duper.

When installing the i7 to its host computer, it wouldn't boot in any mode just as before.

    * Comment: The i7 will start the i5 laptop when connected via USB in system preferences > startup disk.

I am currently using the i7 connected to the external i5 as I type this.

Disk utility has been run on the i7 at this point by indicating zero problems.

Onyx has been run through all the options and check marks with no problems.

Always the i7 will not start its host computer.

    I am very confused.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) why/how this phenomenon occur?

    (2) in making the i7 clone for external storage, if there was a hidden virus or something on the i7 origin, is the now compromised storage device?

I read it twice and I'm still a little confused.

When you cloned the i7, you do it from the other computer?

I get the i7 disc starts from the i7 computer when it is connected to the outside. Is this correct?

If the player starts in an external of the i7 box, but not in the computer the case most likely is the SATA cable to the hard drive.

    Try to replace.

  • Vista will not start! Black screen, no mouse, no cursor pointer. Startup Repair cannot repair. Details say 'wrong pass '. What is the correct syntax for pkgmgr to uninstall?

Vista will not start!  Black screen, no mouse, no cursor pointer.  Startup Repair cannot repair.  Details say 'wrong pass '.  It looks like all the files are well intact on the disk.

What is the correct for pkgmgr syntax when you try to uninstall an update by using a command prompt when starting Vista OS disk?  I entered the following in the "x:\Sources >" prompt:

    start /w pkgmgr/o: "C:\; /Up:Package_1_for_KB2840149~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.0.1.0 C:\Windows.

When I run this command it ends quickly and when I run 'echo %errorlevel%' I get '5', which seems to mean 'access denied'.  How am I supposed to have access to remove the patch?  Am I missing something?  Perhaps a switch in the syntax to access?  Help, please.  Thank you.

I tried both options that you recommended.  As initially stated, no boot option would produce something other than the black screen.  I tried to boot from a drive and restoring the system running, but she didn't, and when I tried to do it again the recovery console could not find restore points. ?.

An update, the computer is now fixed.  Oddly enough, I ran recovery of starting a drive at least 8 times and each time I checked the details and he said: he ran chkdsk without error and return to the same cause "a patch is preventing windows to start.  I even ran chkdsk c: /f from a prompt command from the recovery disk and it found no errors.  That's when I posted the question above after trying to remove the patch in the manner described above.  After some time and frustration, I decided to run chkdsk /r c:.  It took awhile, but it found 1 bad sector, moved the data, the bad sector tag and finished.  Once I restarted from that, everything came and went very well.

So, the original question remains, what was missing in the command to run pkgmgr/high: successfully.  And the new question exists as to why start Recovery claims run chkdsk if it does not, or he turns the version/f not the version/r the same as I did manually?  It would be good to know for the future.  Thank you!

    ======================================================
More than likely that the video is a format that is not supported on your system.

Foe example... If the format is MOV, which is Apple's QuickTime format...
It may be interesting to try to download and install Apple's QuickTime Player.

  • PC "not responding" after starting a restore point system & does not stop

I'm running a restore system (Vista Ult) point and PC "unresponsive".  Is it safe to disable or reset manually?  What problems could result if I just press reset?  System retore worked for 4 hours now!

    All advice is appreciated!

This is far too long to make it work - it froze.  Alternatively, you can press reset if you have such a button on your system (didn't on mine) or you can press on and hold the power button until the system stops (this is not really good for the system and should not be done normally, but you have no choice in this situation).  Then restart it and log in again and try to make the system back restore point.  This time start by disabling your AV software as this sometimess interferes with the process.  Do not open anything else while the system can focus on the creation of the restore point.

If it freezes again (the process should take 30-45 minutes maximum), then again and restart in clean http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135?p=1 mode and try to restore the system from there.  If it works, use the procedures in the article to find the cause of the problem with the process, and remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once that is done, don't forget to restore the system to normal status according to procedures.

If it still does not in cleaning mode, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly on the F8 key during startup until the menu appears), and try to create the restore from there point (if it will let you - I'm not sure that's possible in safe mode (, but it's worth a try).  If it works, at least you have a method to bypass the creation of restore points.  Then we' ill have to work out why it doesn't work in normal mode but let's first.

I hope this helps.  Post back and let us know how it goes anyway.

    Good luck!

My Apple TV is only to play a sound on my iPad but will not show the film?

Welcome to the Jennifer Apple community.

Some content providers don't block the video portion working with AirPlay, have you checked to see if AirPlay is supported by this provider.

    If it is supported

these steps, check to see if things work after each step if necessary, before you try the next.

    1. Check AirPlay is on the Apple TV (turn market if it already is)
    2. Check that both devices are on the same network (settings > Wifi on the mobile device and the settings > General > network, on the Apple TV).
    3. Restart the Apple TV (settings > general > restart).
    4. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL cables for 30 seconds.
    5. Restart your router. (Also try to remove the power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    6. Restart your mobile device.
