I do a repair system EACH time disc that I perform an Image backup system?
I do one every time system repair disc I perform an Image backup system?
(Win7 Ultimate 32-bit SP1)
Thank you.
Craig, AMTELCO
P.S. I really did a lot of digging before asking. While I picked up some useful tips in the case, I do simply not the connection.
The Windows repair CD is designed to put you in an environment where you can perform these functions:
- Perform a system restore.
- Perform a restore of the Image.
- Open a command prompt.
- Repair the boot environment.
All these functions are independent of service packs or updates. It is, therefore, no need to update your repair CD. Also note that an installation of Windows 7 DVD can be used as a Windows repair DVD. Again once he doesn't have any need to update.

System Image backup has failed during the backup
I have a 2 years old HP pavilion g series notebook. I did a backup system image on dvd + r discs. It was almost over, when the drive #99, I got this message "the backup failed. The system cannot find the specified path (0 x 80070003)
My computer is no longer under warranty and I'm $ 60 in the disks if they can't be used. I need to know there is a way to save what I saved and restart the backup of the Image where it left off?
Product: A6Z59UA #ABA
Model: g61d60usHi CherylLyme,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using the forum, it's a great place to find answers.
You have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.
I understand that you did an image backup, and while he was almost done you received the error (0 x 80070003). Here is a link to a response from Microsoft to help you. Windows backup error 0 x 80070003 (One answer per Vinod N)
I'm not sure if you would be able to leave and get back on disc 99, because once you have repaired, it will be changed from when you first ran the backup. The disc that you used only were not read, accessible writing, so you wouldn't be able to reuse them. You can see that an external hard drive would be a more economical way to make your backups. The data must be in one place and easier to store. If you decide to use a USB key, so do not more then the 32 GB and won't Windows 8 on it.
You can probably buy an external drive for on the cost of the replacement of disks. Here is a link to the HP Shopping external storage , but you can buy one at several places, Office Depot, Staples, Wal-Mart and computer shops are few. I hope this helps.

Had a virus and removed TI rebooted for system, black screen of death, managed to install Recovery Console, use step 1 by recovering a corrupted registry, ended up with missing or corrupt 'system32\config\system file', and looked in the repair directory there is no file in my "c:\windows\repair" folder that says 'system '. I have no way to use a cd drive or a USB on the laptop. Do I have to redo a file 'repair\system' from scratch, or is it on the hard drive in another directory? I read each article of Microsoft on the corrupted file / lack of issue, but there is no explanation for the repair file to miss.
Again miss me the real "system" file in the directory "c:\windows\repair".
I would write my own file system for this last reference if I do another repair of system like this, it would save a lot of my time.

What should I do? Thank you.Hello
Method 1: I suggest that you do the startup repair using the Windows Vista installation disc and check if it works.
If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.
a. Insert the installation disc.
b. restart your computer.
Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.
c. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.
d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
e. click on repair your computer.
f. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
g. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair.
See: How can I fix a startup (startup)?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/how-do-I-fix-a-boot-startup-problem
Method 2: If above method fails, then run the command chkdsk WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) and check if it solves the problem:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7
Note: Select command prompt from the system recovery options and follow the mentioned below as follows:
Type the following command and press ENTER.
Chkdsk /r
Note: Chkdsk /r command erases / corrupted hard disk data corrections. Some of your personal files/data may be erased.

used sytem repair from the installation disc difficult or too complicated?
do you know if the repair system hard to use from reinstalling vista irunning disk? without any reason after windows drivres dell download does not start, it is just there to take all this time and if I'm lucky it will start, I used the configuration of the system, and that did not help. I know, it seems that he is sssoooo nearly all set to start at the same time, but in the system and the process where it lists everything that I don't know what is what, so I can't stop the useless stuff to start, I thing I have too many things that either doesn't work - I don't have not even half uninstalled or put in the easy computer were and if it's the dell drivers , screwing, then why vista does not work?
Dell has a touch screen F12 on boot options, but vista says to put in disk, press on restart and then repair, but what happens if I can't do it at the start or the dvd - rom does not start when I reboot?
and if it doesn't it's really complicated? I ran disk cleanup and repair. I ran to check memory, I had 140 GB free out of 240 GB, I ran two restorations system back to dates before I installed the drivers from dell, everything worked fine until last night, now dell takes to always to get to the windows startup takes part and windows to start even in safe mode.
I ran all the controls sytem dell pc and everything passes .so should I put the disc and hit restart? and should I first go to where he gives the choice to load some stuff or normally loads at startup, and which one should I use all or just selective to go until I reboot. Thanks for any help you can offer, because it runs now I don't even want to turn it off.

Compilation of sources each time.
Hello to my friends in Java.
Something sweet problem started happening recently, and I ask so few tracks that would lead me to a repair. When I ask my IDE to run one of my programs, I get the following result:
I wonder why these files 90 source are compiled each time I want to start my program regardless of whether they have been affected, given that the last execution program. I guess it's an ant script, and it checks an addiction that I accidentally deleted or modified. I don't know too much about Ant (know how works of the Ant is not a priority), so a few pointers on the way to the 'Ant dependency mechanism' works in this case, so I can stop these 90 records compiled each time the program is run would be appreciated.init: Deleting: /home/owen/NetBeansProjects/CliqueSpace/trunk/AgentDevice/build/built-jar.properties deps-jar: Updating property file: /home/owen/NetBeansProjects/CliqueSpace/trunk/AgentDevice/build/built-jar.properties ClientDeviceMedia.init: ClientDeviceMedia.deps-jar: Updating property file: /home/owen/NetBeansProjects/CliqueSpace/trunk/AgentDevice/build/built-jar.properties CliqueSpace.init: CliqueSpace.deps-jar: Updating property file: /home/owen/NetBeansProjects/CliqueSpace/trunk/AgentDevice/build/built-jar.properties Exception.init: Exception.deps-jar: Updating property file: /home/owen/NetBeansProjects/CliqueSpace/trunk/AgentDevice/build/built-jar.properties Exception.compile: Exception.jar: CliqueSpace.compile: CliqueSpace.jar: Compiling 90 source files to /home/owen/NetBeansProjects/CliqueSpace/trunk/ClientDeviceMedia/build/classes ClientDeviceMedia.compile: Building jar: /home/owen/NetBeansProjects/CliqueSpace/trunk/ClientDeviceMedia/dist/ClientDeviceMedia.jar ClientDeviceMedia.jar: compile: run:

Owen.Hello Owen,.
There is a flag of Ant -v or -verbose , which will display detailed information, including the detailed resolution of dependencies rules, such as:[javac] Test.java omitted as D:\classes\Test.class is up to date. [javac] Unset.java added as D:\classes\Unset.class is outdated. [javac] Compiling 1 source file to D:\classes
(from manual, Ant http://ant.apache.org/problems.html)
But if you are working with a version control system, suits you, you should compare the current version, build files Ant with the most recent version not whenever recompile (since the problem only"recently").
Kind regards

Satellite P10 - repair on the recovery disc option
My Satellite P10 crashed, which suggests an error of hard disk may be imminent, I have a recovery disk, but it doesn't have a repair option, only a full recovery. As I would like to try to retrieve some data, is there a repair option, normally associated with these discs.
If yes where can I get one?Thank you
Recovery disc has no repair option. Recovery disk contains only the recovery image. Try to get the facilities of Microsoft CD and use the fix here. If you will not be able to repair the operating system pre-installed as a last option, you can use the recovery disk and install recovery image.
Bye and good luck!

After the update to el Capitan my iMac will not be asleep. I put it to sleep and turn off the mouse and keyboard that goes with it, and 5-10 minutes later, he wakes up on his own. Now, I have to stop it after use and each time only. The Major pain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Please test after taking each of the steps that you have already tried:
Step 1
Take all of the measures suggested in this support article, including those under the title "If the previous steps do not work." It is the starting point for a new effort to solve the problem.
Note that, as stated in the article, the computer will not sleep, if some sharing services are enabled. In the menu bar, select
▹ System Preferences... ▹ Sharing
Disable all sharing services.
Step 2
If sharing music iTunes home sharing is enabled, disable it or quit iTunes. Do the same with third-party applications that have a similar feature.
Step 3
Select
▹ System Preferences... ▹ Accessibility ▹ Speakable Items: Off
Step 4
Select
▹ System Preferences... ▹ ▹ Advanced Bluetooth...
and uncheck the two boxes marked
Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup if...
Step 5
Step 6
Back up all data.
Triple-click on the line below on this page to select, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination:
/var/vm
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ go to the folder...
from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.
A folder named 'vm' should open. Inside, there may be a file named 'drag '. Move this file and only this one in the trash, but do not yet empty. You will be asked for your password. Close the folder window.
Restart the computer and empty the trash.

my computer shutdown itself each time I use netflix for a few minutes. I don't know what the cause, but it's okay
Hey, Zain.
Of course, everything is not fine - as a result, the problem. ;)
My first thought would be overheating. Clean dust from the computer lately (if ever)?Spent, I suggest you have a look through the system logs (right click on computer > manage; go to computer Management\System Tools\Event Vieewer) and find the event entry that indicates why the computer turns off. You'll find it at ~ downtime (can be registered just before closing, can be generated on the reboot log entries.) You devriez find the offending entry in Windows logs\System.
Whatever it is, search through newspapers preceded entires, a yellow or red !HTH,
