• DirecTV DVR not seeing internet via router TC

  I installed a modem Arris SB6183 on Comcast xfinity network.  The modem is turned on and connected to the network, xfinity without problem.  All my other devices connected to the TC and could see the internet without problem.  (Though, as I write this I realize that they were all apple devices.)  However my Directv DVR (HR44-500) did not see the internet via the wireless or ethernet cable.  My TC is a 3 TB A1470.  The installer has been in DHCP + NAT.  I also tried to give Directv a (local) fixed IP which address found DVR, but still couldn't find the internet.  When I plugged the DVR directly to the SB6183, without going through the TC, he saw the internet seems to indicate a problem of TC.

  After a few days of futile efforts, I have reconnected the router xfinity and replace the TC in Bridge mode.  Everything is working now and the DVR sees the internet, but I'm still pay Comcast 10 $par month to rent their modem.

  Does anyone else have this problem?

  You need to clarify a few things.

  I would expect questions for Internet access to the DVR by the TC without doing manual port forwarding. The DVR itself must be connected to the internet as long as you have the correct values for IP etc. Although I suspect that ipv6 might complicate the situation.

  If the DVR awaits UPNP router compatible... the TC is a failure. Apple is not compatible UPNP, adopting instead their own port open NAT - PMP protocol which is limited to most of the time the Apple products.

  To get out, you need to return to the configuration without your xfinitiy router... and give us a stack of screenshot... To see the complete configuration of the RECORDER and the TC... screenshots are the best way to do it.

  DNS, in particular, can be a problem... so make sure you use Google public DNS on the DVR and see if that helps.

  Any other suggestions we really need to see all your settings...

  Some screenshots of a working Mac or iPad would also show the configuration of a unit of work... rather than the DVR has failed.

  The Vista OS preinstalled Toshiba which is same BONE as full Vista disc from Microsoft.
  There is only one difference; Toshiba laptops are preinstalled with Toshiba and pilots tools and drivers and tools are part of the Toshiba recovery image that contains Vista, driver and tools

  Thanks for your VI, including in the post.  I was able to download it and reproduce what you see.  There are a few things that need to be changed in order to get this to work.

  First of all, you don't need to have the niUSRP function to configure Signal.vi inside your time loop.  You can put this outside the loop and a property node allows you to change the frequency with a property node.  You already have the property node in your code, you just need to change it to write instead of read.  There is an example that will do just that, if you just want to use it instead of modify your code too much.  It's called niUSRP EX Tx continuous Async Reconfig on the Fly.vi.

  Then, the reason why you are not able to go at the rate of 1 ms/s IQ with the code you have is because you're trying to read and write the frequency during each iteration of the loop.  Because of the time to query the hardware, set the frequency and read the return frequency, the I was able to get the maximum rate of IQ was around 500kS/s.  This is due to a combination of hardware and driver limitations.  Even with the example above uses the property instead of the function of the configuration node, if I put in an indicator to look at frequency I can't use a faster speed of the IQ.

  Try to change the property node and the withdrawal of this indicator, you should have a lot more success.  Let me know if this does not work for you or if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to help you.

  I found the problem. You can only connect directly to the motherboard USB port - it does not work on an extension USB hub or a USB PCI card. And you need to connect somehow to the LAST stage connecting the female USB end to the motherboard to the USB port.

  Enter the BIOS by pressing F10 at startup. If you have the option of Bios Setup to disable the native sata mode, XP will install without problem, no sata driver needed. It will be on the tab of the System Configuration.

  Indeed, it might be your router and use WEP security.  WEP is not really security because it can be broken with freeware within minutes.

  Pass the security of your router to WPA with a password you create.  While you're here, change the channel to 11 on 2.4 GHz router mode.

• SF 200 - 24 p does not see the MGBSX1

  I have a SF 200 - 24 p and plugged a MGBSX1.  I'm connected to the web interface and see that nowhere did recognize them switch the mini-GBIC.  I see that the GBIC is powered.  If I plug the fiber in, the transmitter/receiver at the other end is connected.  In fact, looping the transceiver tests fine.  However, the switch does not pass network traffic!  I tried two mini-GBIC ports.  I tried an another new mini-GBIC of SCM, still no joy.  While I don't have an another SF 200 - 24 p to try, I have a SG 102-24 and plugged the MGBSX1.  I'm still not transmitting data, although I do not know how to test otherwise for Plug and see if it transmits data.

  Is there something 'extra', I'm supposed to do in the web interface to get the swtich to 'see' the mini-GBIC?  I'm to the point where the entire installation and just use a standalone transceiver at both ends.  Help?

  Hi Jerry,

  The Sx200/300 series show only the SFP in diagnosis when there is an active link, otherwise it doesn't show all the data. When the link is connected you should see them there. Check the settings in the SF 200 - 24 p under Administration - Diagnostics - State of the optical Module.

  The "all traffic has not managed" issue. Are the ports that you connect in the same VLAN? If they are not, this could be a reason why there is no traffic passing. Also check STP settings, you may have a blocked by STP port if you have redundant links (I guess that is not the case, but I do not see here of course)

  You've found the warning as a near cache implements cache objects. Given that the service proxy uses POF, it must deserialize the POF serialized value in order to put it in the cache close. You do not see the message when you cache directly plan dist by default because it is configured to use the BOOM, allowing the proxy service pass the POF serialized value directly through the distributed cache service.
