  I have a g-20 and on the back of it there is a S-video port. As far as I know I owe then power save my camcorder vhs movies. Using Intervideo windvd is however nothing. With the help of pinaclle studio 9 recognizes a tv but stll port no images here. I'm sure that my VCR is ok. Connection with an s-video cable to a flat TV works fine. I just hoped that this (expensive) laptop would do things, I bought it for. Connection of the camera with the RGB cables does not work either.

  Hi Ronny,.

  Assuming you have installed WinDVD 4, I think that it is only a player rather than a recorder, so I wouldn't be surprised that it does not see your comments on your VCR.

  Pinnacle, on the other hand should be able to see your S-video input source. Check the configuration settings peripheral Pinnacle data capture to ensure that it is properly implemented S-video as input rather than Composite (RGB) source.

  It is also useful to check that the VCR's S-video port is actually a release not a port of entry. Several VCRs have s-video as input only option to allow a signal to record on the VCR.

• Synch Media Player created a partition on my camcorder DXG-579v - now the only record camera 4 minutes on an 8G flash drive

  How can I get rid of the partition? The camera now has a F & a G drive, & is much larger than the other. I don't want to sync anything on camera.

  Tried to reformat - only reformatted the smaller disk.

  Media Player does not change the file extension, unless the user he orders him to do so.

  Remove the partition from the partition for the management of records and then put in shape then fomat the camera flash player.

  Follow the steps below to remove the partition management diska

  a. log on as an administrator.

  b. Click Start, run, type compmgmt.msc and click OK.

  c. in the console tree, click Disk Management. The disk management window appears.

  d. in the window management drives, right click on the partition or logical drive that you want to delete and then click on Delete Partition or delete logical drive.

  e. click Yes when you are prompted to delete the partition or logical drive. The partition or logical drive is deleted.

• Not recording camera images

  I took half a dozen or more photos today, when I was out and not have watch later in the day when I went home.

  The camera is superior Auto mode + for some and in the manual for others.  The camera has been setup to save on the memory card.  I got no problem with the photos until today.

  I could not find the pictures I had taken.    In the camera rather than the photos app, there were two black icons with a white line jagged through them.  I couldn't find anything with the file Commander.  I tried to take some extra pictures of test and noticed that as he tried to save the images the spining orange circle thing never went away.  I went to internal memory, and there was no problem.

  Any ideas? Corrupted memory card?  It is only 6 months old...

  @MalcolmS, looks like the SD card is the problem here. You should consider replacing it.

  Photoshop does not have the previous canon 50 d raw files and new raw files from canon 7 d mk2 to be recognized, so does not open. The two cameras are in the list of photoshop, any ideas how to fix it please? Martin

  The list shows what version of Photoshop is required for each camera model. Everything simply because it's on the list, does not mean that is supported by your version of Photoshop.

  • You can play the audio file is saved on your computer by using a media player program.

  Maybe you can install and connect the camera to your computer and use that out there?  Your second computer recognizes the camera?  You may need to install the appropriate drivers for this camera model.

  Right-click on the Volume icon near the clock and select the recording devices (when your camera is installed) and see what he says here.

  Use the ROWNUM Pseudo-column:

  If you want the numbers assigned in order, use the ROW_NUMBER analytic function instead of ROWNUM.

• PlayMemories and Windows 7

  I'm having a problem to transfer my videos to a DVD. PlayMemories is not an option to create disk at the top. When I go into the settings and the toolbar, the option to create disk is not highlighted, so I can not put a check mark by it. Two technicians updated software and uninstalled and reinstalled the software, but I don't always have the opportunity to create discs. It is a Windows 7 64 bit HP Pavilion dv7-4180.

  I spent two hours with two technicians have different remote access to my laptop, only for both of them to tell me to try the software on another computer. As you can imagine, I'm not really pleased with this response. Has anyone else had this problem and solved? I'm not at all interested in having someone remotely access my laptop again. I work from home and lost money since I could not work while they were connected.

  Does anyone have advice to get PlayMemories to work correctly with Windows 7? I can transfer images and video of the DSC-W650, but I don't have the option 'create disc '.   OK, since this message I found that records camera mp4 videos, and is not a valid format for the use of PlayMemories to create a disc, which is probably why I don't have this option. I guess now I must find a way to convert mp4 files to something else so I can get the videos on a disc. I can't imagine why two reps (with nearly three hours of time) could not understand it. Disappointing.

• OfficeJet 6600: HP Officejet prints 6600 pages of test, but USB connected or wireless - does not print anything

  For some reason any my printer has ceased to be able to print anything at all, since last night at 7-8 so far, I've been able to print perfectly well.

  It is connected wireless (and on the home network and the IP address), but whether or not it is wireless (USB) - nothing will be printed at all.

  Have tried everything imaginable... uninstalled and reinstalled all HP 3 or 4 times now, various attempted fixes via the online help, nothing works. Have unplugged router printer 30 s, unplugged 30s, you name it.

  It allows to print in-house, however, no problem. Print a test - perfectly fine page, print a network test page - perfectly well. Clear print heads... everything comes out clear.

  Spotted an error prompt "spooler subsystem app not working not"... so found this page online (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/460f297a-dd66-4476-a176-542e1519ca3e/fixed... and thought it was the miracle solution - nope, still doesn't.)

After following it exactly as I had to... I get this result:

Reinstall the software with the product CD or by downloading the latest features full software from HP Customer Care. "- so in other words... I am told to do exactly what I've already done 3 or 4 times.

  It's driving me crazy... and do not understand why it will not print.

  I hope someone here can help... because it's completely maddening.

  By coincidence, my grandson has me bought a new computer earlier in the month. and it arrived yesterday afternoon, a Lenovo all-in-One ThinkCentre w/Windows 7 - and after it he installed there, the printer printed fine from the computer.

  But, just in case it is needed, and because the advice was here, I thought I'd try the options.

  Unfortunately, I can't do a level 3 uninstall with the two methods provided. Method never showed a "util" folder or 'utility', both had a "utils" folder, and no method showed a record of "ccc". Also, by downloading the software, then go into the temporary folder through the search from the Start Menu, 3 sets of disc records came - and such that mentioned, none had the util/utility folder (all "utils" still had once) - and yet, none of them had a folder 'ccc '.

  My grandson theory was that something is likely messed up in the registry, and he doesn't dare touch it without knowing what it does - than a reformat or something registry editting and knowing exactly what they're doig - would be the best choice, but rather of your time and... almost useless with the new computer capable of printing. A friend IT very well educated friends, also backed up his theory...

  So, I have to wonder... don't you think it's worth, the Dungeon of combat with the old Gateway/Vista PC, or simply move to the new Lenovo/Windows 7 and cause less stress for us all? Haha!

  Is this possible on the G7X Mark II to prevent the disabling of the screen?

  I know that there are ways to prevent the stop for 3 minutes, but I am trying to record the screen of my camera to my computer for an indefinite amount of time and must be able to leave my camera "on and alert" when the total capture.

  I would try in a time record camera, but I can't find a way to remove the notification "Rec" of the screen, which can be removed during "sleep."

• A updated Windows caused inconsistent Web Page loading

  I have this problem have fought for about 7 months and feel now that this question may have some merit. On November of last year, I noticed that one of my records came to a point that a session on the internet would have on the same sequence of events on my ISP, different from search engines email account or another web browser outside of the Internet Explorer that I always used: web pages load normally for a period of shooting then the Green loading bar at the bottom of the page shows 50% completion & load entirely web page, then to the same bar of fine corresponding to 100%, but the web page is empty. At this point, I may be able to close the web page, but more often otherwise I have to use the Task Manager to end the session. Even after this point I couldn't access the internet unless the system has rebooted. I thought that not much in light of 6 years + of very intensive use, it was time to do a new install & really cut the number of programs installed and fragmented garbage.

  The drive was wiped cleaned before anything was started. A firewall & antivirus updated were in place before any connection to the internet. All XP critical and recommended updates loaded first thing and installed. Minimal programs have been installed. DSL result same slowness.

  I spent hours with my ISP support for any solution. My older router was suspected, so a newer version has been purchased. No change.

  Then, my wife made a comment that its XP disc that she uses only for the printer on my desktop still works very well. I now widely used and it is not a fake. Wipe the disc again and done the same installation of all windows, as before, but duplicate updates install it software she has: no change. The only difference with his, is that no Windows Update were conducted on it for some time, as he was very low on disk space.

  As it became very obvious that I was not to get more answers to my question, I found the solution through another forum by examining the response to slow down the loading of the web page. Log in Mode safe mode with networking privileges. Things will appear somewhat sluggish clicking around but that's ok. Begin to surf the internet. All my symptoms went away. In this case, Internet Explorer settings need to be reset & can be done using the Microsoft FIX - IT Site, charging to @ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 . If it doesn't clear up the problem of IE and your computer is running slowly as well, this MS web page might be the solution: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353.
