  We start with two questions:

  1 did you change on your computer before the show?

  2. which version of the operating system is installed on your computer?

  3. what web browser do you use to download AVG?

  4. If it is Internet Explorer, what version of Internet Explorer is installed on your computer?

  5 have you tried with a different browser?

  6. do you have a third-party security software installed on your computer?

  I suggest you to disable all security software, including the Windows Firewall and then check how it works.

• Computer won't download any programs on the net

  I am running Windows XP Home Edition SP3 and Firefox.  When I click on a program to download, the installation program appears, click on save or run... to get a Firefox window showing Setup search virus... window becomes empty.  Few pop up in the bar of tasks according to the download of the complete file... then nothing.  The installer program does not appear anywhere.

  You have to look in the folder that it downloaded. That's where they're going.

  You can try the following and link methods under each method for more information on the same and see if one of them solve the problem.

  Method 1: Start the computer in last good known Configuration

   

  1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

  Click the button start , click the arrow next to the button lock , then click on restart.

  1. Do one of the following:

  ·         If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

  ·         If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start, and then press F8.

  1. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select last good known Configuration and press ENTER.
  2. If your computer has multiple operating systems installed, use the arrow keys to select the operating system that you want to start using the last good known Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally.

  Method 2: Start your computer in Mode safe

  4 log your computer with a user account with administrator rights.

  When your computer is in safe mode, you'll see the words Safe Mode in the corners of the screen. To leave safe mode, restart your computer and let Windows start normally.

  Seems that Acrobat XI was an upgrade from the previous version. You need choose your earlier version of Acrobat, comes its serial key to activate the upgrade Acrobat XI.

Do I need a program additional anti-malware? If so, the one that works best with Firefox? Seems put more you on these things the you have more trouble.

  The anti-phishing protection and malware that Firefox uses checks against a list of websites that have been reported to contain a form of malware and then alerts you. Firefox itself does not scan files to see if they contain viruses/malware. You still need a form any anti-virus and anti-malware protection. You must also use a firewall.

  As for which is better, you are likely to get many different answers, it's a topic that generates a lot of discussion. A product one person loves will be hated by someone else. I use Microsoft Security Essentials as well as Windows Firewall.

  I'm the sysadmin on a desktop computer. Recently, I've done all my private files, now I can't view or work from a laptop computer in network. In addition, users on my laptop can no longer print their documents on the printer connected to my PC. How to reverse the process, making all of my shared files?
