I had the crazy internet Explorer downloading photos to a cousin in Cincinnati, ohio. At the bottom of the screen it kept climbing on start up of internet explore.
I don't know what else to add.
I was unable to get a response from Microsoft so after a 1/2 hour, I registered offshore. E-mail address is removed from the privacy * (previously * address email is removed from the privacy *.) Best regards, Alvin F Buras

Computer is humming, fan turns on and the screen is blank when I start computer
This problem happens every 90 days. When I took the computer to the repair shop, he had no problem with him right there. If the computer remains stationary, the problem persists, but once it is moved in a certain way, it will start normally. Specifically, I spilled on the computer and the problem stopped. I have a hard time to explain a problem to the repair shop when it no longer exists at the time wherever I have it get there. Is there a more permanent solution that mess up the computer?
When I tried to turn on my computer, I get a buzzing sound, then the fan came and the screen remained blank. I tried to restart after an hour, but it's the same, what's the problem? > Hello DempseyBullock,
Sorry, you experience this problem. The first thing I would say is contact the manufacturer of your computer. Also, I suggest to go to the manufacturer's Web site to confirm that there is no news updates for the drivers, firmware, or BIOS updates.
If you are unable to start your Windows XP-based computer, try the steps in the below links:

Hello
When I start my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6000) happens inot a windo who said: "We apologize for the ivconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.... "After I select Safe mode, safe mode with network, safe mode with prompt command, last known good coonfiguration (your most recent settings that worked), and start windows normally it starts up to a blue screen that says"a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer. "If this is the first time you've seen this erroe to stop screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, backup utilities or disk defragmentation. Check the configuration of your hard drive and check the updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.
Technical information:
"STOP: 0 X 00000024 (0 X 00190203, 0X86F67638, 0XC0000102, 0X00000000).
Then my computer shuts down and restarts then displays this message then turns off ect.
What should I do to fix this?Stop code 0 x 00000024 is caused by a problem reported by the pilot responsible for reading and writing to NTFS volumes (or partitions) on the hard drive of the pc - NTFS is the default file system used by XP.
It can be caused by a number of things, including errors on your hard disk or a defective HD controller.
Is your PC still under warranty? -If so, return to the supplier to fix.
If it is out of warranty, you have a Windows CD to boot from? If so, configure your BIOS and choose everything first from your CD player rather than your hard drive, put in the Windows CD & re - start. When the installation of Windows has loaded its drivers, press R to start the Windows Recovery Console. The WRC will identify your installations of Windows, and you ask you want to connect (and repair) - If you have only one installation, this is the one you choose.
At the command prompt, type chkdsk and, hopefully, chkdsk /r will fix your HD (note that chkdsk /f does not run under the WRC)
If the problem persists or chkdsk does not work, the problem might be with your HD controller - which is integrated into the motherboard of your laptop.

Note: I use my old desktop PC (Windows XP) for you to explain the problem with my laptop (Windows 7).
Problem:
The last thing I did on my laptop did was move the cursor when, suddenly, the screen image went from landscape (which is the normal display) to A4 (i.e. through 90 degrees). I must add that due to a health problem I lost some feeling in my hands a fingers which does not help when I press the button and move the slider. Therefore, it is more likely that I inadvertently changed the orientation of the screen somehow.
There was no notice given on the screen to change.I shut down the computer, waited a few minutes and started again. The orientation of the wrong screen reappears.
As I am not a COMPUTER buff, by any stretch of the imagination, I don't know how to provide you with a screenshot if you need.
Thanks for any help you can give,Derek
Press Ctrl & Alt keys and use the arrows to rotate back.
According to the graphics card on your computer, these can be alternatives.
Right click on the desktop | Graphics options | Rotation.
Right click on the desktop | Screen resolution | Orientation.

I tried to boot from the system cd, but nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Wilma Jean,
Thanks for posting in the Microsoft answers Forum. The first thing you need to check is that your PC is set to boot from the CD. The boot order is set in the BIOS and check the PC manufacturer for instructions on how to change it. Once you are ready to start from the CD drive first, and then boot from the XP CD in Recovery Console. This link explains how to start the recovery console: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307654#3Once you start the recovery console, I would say the following two commands (links after the controls give explanations\instruction thereon) running.
Chkdsk /r http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265 (the instructions explain running cmd on the start menu, you will not need to do this step)
sfc/scannow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747

Dell XPS 17 702 X flicker of the screen
I read everything I could the varrious formums and installed the drivers as much as I could, Nvida dell old and new, ancient and new, video intel old and new. Nothing prevents the screen flickering on the battery power.
I had the screen replaced by a dell technician, continues to blink. The entire computer replaced and it still flashes!
Someone at - it suggestions? Seems that the pilots have no effect. The only thing that works is to plug in the power adapter. On battery, it sparkles. I also have Nvidia to be all the time as well as the intel integrated video card without change. Technicians dell always change the power setting. They seem obsessed with setting the screen for maximum performance on the intel integrated and the nvidea with no effect.
Dell wants to send a new motherboard and screen. I'm getting sick this. The screen cannot be bad because it works on the current! When you demand a refund?
I like to keep it if it gets fixed I like it.
I had the same problem of flickering on battery with my Dell XPS 702 X. After installing a new copy of Windows 7 on a new SDS drive with AG Full-HD 1080 p screen, I've updated all my drivers and use the bios A06. That's when I saw the same problem you are having. Since I don't see it on the old version, I searched the difference. My solution was to do a right click on the desktop and go to graphic properties and select the Advanced Mode. Click on the power tab, and then select Maximum Performance for both sector and battery. Given that you have tried this and it did not fix the problem, you can have a bad screen.

Windows 7 changes the screen resolution when video applications go full screen.
When I have plenty of screen some video players, that the resolution of the screen on just the ordinary 1080 p 1080 p (native) that has a refresh rate of 60 hz. As soon as I exit full screen it activates again. Would be nice but when it switches the screen is no longer fits the screen and the user interface looks very grainy, the video actually looks very good. Windows Media Player 12 for this, while VLC does not, which leads me to believe its something to do with the way that Windows Media Player makes video (which I think it uses Direct x, which uses VLC OpenGL). I have this problem on my computer and my brothers computer I customized built. The specifications are very similar, other that my computer has an Nvidia GTS 250, and has a Nvidia GTX 275. Is there anyway to stop it from doing this?
Data sheet:
Intel Core i7 clocked at 2.66 Ghz
6 GB of ram
ASUS P6T SE LGA 1366 Intel X 58 ATX Intel Motherboard
Just in case people always have a problem with this problem, pls here's a solution that worked for me...
I spent the last month trying to solve this problem, and "youemailme" (another thread here) had the correct solution for me! And so Simple!
I noticed on Blogs that this problem has existed for at least Win98 is not your computer or your operating system.
The question seems to be programs in your Menu has a different screen resolution to set startup, thereby causing the screen resolution change when you start your computer. This isn't a MicroSoft program error, but rather a question of "settings".
With me, what worked were 2 things:
(1) perform the 'clean boot process' as advised by many to determine which granted software was causing the problem... and then.
(2) right click on the name of the program (as discovered in above) 'problem' in the Start Menu > properties > compatibility. For some reason, there is an option to "run in 640 x 480 screen resolution", which has been verified. This program was in the startup folder and the cause of the problem. Then unchecked the resolution box. No problem.
In my view, there are a large number of people dealing with this exact problem. I hope that this process of step 2 could solve their problems.
(ps, just thinking about it now, you might not even bother with the 'clean boot process' but simply go through all your programs in your Start Menu and run the 2nd step explained above. Should work?)
See you soon

MacBook Pro 2015 turns on but the screen remains black...
Hello
Today, I tried to turn on my MacBook Pro, but my screen stays black. When I press the caps lock button, it turns green which I guess means he lit. I've also heard the startup chime it generally makes when you turn on. I already tried to turn it on and off several times and reset the SMC and the LANDAU... The screen is always black.
Could someone help me please?
Also a few minutes ago the fan has started to make noise in the macbook...
But the screen remains black.
Thank you
Shaynidw
Hi shaynidw,
From your description, it seems that your MacBook Pro is powered, as soon as you hear the startup chime and see the light on the keyboard. Thus, it seems that the problem may be with your screen or the video card.
On the screens you see when you start your Mac
Power on
When you turn on your Mac, display is off (black) and you hear a startup chime. Your Mac Initializes his BootROM and memory (RAM live). It then performs a power - on that self test (POST) and a test of BootROM. If you hear beeps or chimes at this stage, this indicates a possible hardware problem and start stops. If you add memory to your Mac, check that it is installed correctly.
White screen
After that only walking self-test is completed, your Mac sends a video signal to your connected screens. The screen may appear black or grey at this point in the boot sequence and backlight of the screen should light up. If you do not see the image appears on your screen after a few moments, try increasing the brightness of your screen. If you use an external monitor, make sure it is properly connected and turned on.
shaynidw, if set up the brightness of your screen does not help, you have an external display (computer screen or TV) that you can attach to your MacBook Pro to test?
In addition, you can try to start your computer in safe mode to see if you get different results.
Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning
If the problem persists, you may need to take your computer to an Apple Store or service provider authorized Apple , so they can inspect the video card and cables to isolate the problem.
Take care.

Thank you.
Sorry, this isn't a problem of Firefox support. The Start button is part of the Windows XP operating system.

Hi LotusPink,
Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm sorry to hear that you are having these problems with your iMac. I'm sure we can help understand you what is happening, but we might need a little more detail about what exactly you see. What I understand, you're saying that your iMac's freezing at some point during the boot process and no answer or go further. is that correct? If you can describe the exact screen it freezes, as well as all the details (indicators of progress bars progress, messages or guests or spinning, etc.), which can be useful. You can find the following article useful to identify the different screens you see during the boot process:

Photoshop wizards! I'm stumped on this problem and it's driving me bananas! It's a simple photoshop file, thus creating a background star field using noise and great basic tools. However, when I try somehow to save or flatten the image, the results look different way from what I see on the screen! This problem just started today and I don't know why, and nothing I've tried has fixed it. I am literally unable to create anything because whenever I try to save, I get a very different picture.
In this screenshot, I use the save for web window to show what is happening, but it's the same, if I Flatten all layers, merged copy or try to save it as that - of course the results are not what my original document shows. It's like levels and layers are completely ignored. The same thing also happens when I try to apply levels to any similar image, it seems to go in the preview, and then totally different after the application. There is no transparency, layer styles or something tricky going. The document has the color management and RGB 8-bit/channel, test colors is disabled. I restarted my computer restarted the document from scratch twice, reset my preferences, off hardware acceleration, updated for the last CC 2015.5 and have been Googling for the last hour... no luck.I forget something really stupid, or I don't know what. I remember running on this problem before with my old laptop, but I do not remember what was the solution if I ever found a. If anyone wants to check out the document, it will be temporarily here:Stats: Mac OS X MacBook Pro 10.11.4, (2015)Appreciate any help!Glimpses of adjustment are calculated on the basis of the ratio of the screen zoom. This is done for performance reasons.
In other words: If you view at 50%, the preview adjustment is calculated from this version sous-échantillonnées. Now look at this reduction of scale means causing the pixel details - it becomes blurry and fuzzy. So now you get a series of intermediate values that do not exist in the original, and you see adjusted values that do not exist. I can give you a false idea. But when you post adjustment (Flattening), the complete original data are used.
Always keep in mind that the beach tonal adjustments have no effect on each of the pixels that are pure black or pure white. They only work on the medium gray.
This consideration applies to all images with high acutance (sharp pixel-level transitions). It is not normally a problem for a normal picture with smooth transitions.
