  There are three things to try. If this image has been opened through Adobe Camera Raw 9.0, unchecking the GPU in ACR preferences. 9.1 is up-to-date and should have corrected it.

  

  Second: Photoshop Preferences > Performance > GPU settings advanced, tamp him drawing to this Basic Mode.

  

  If it does not, uncheck the box "Use Graphics Processor" in Photoshop preferences until there is a fix.

  I don't think that OSX allowed for graphics drivers updated by author GPU like Windows does.

  (IMO) tried everything.

  I have an ASUS RoG G73JW Core i7-740QM, 8 GB of RAM, nVIDIDA GeForce 460 M, 500 GB drive HARD, Win7 Home Premium + bloatware shit Asus.
  I had the computer since February 2011. I don't remember what it does freeze the first time, the problem is that it may very well, to operate as 2 weeks or it can freeze 3 times in less than an hour. So I don't really know what the devil is going on.

  I've done two scans anti-virus complete with two different AVs and tried a system restore, but nothing. In the meantime, I have disabled the system restore and stuff cuz he ate far from space HARD drive.

  I also scanned for malware/adware etc... Nothing found. In addition, I have all the updated drivers and other things so is not the problem.

  The last option is to reinstall a full but I'll lose all the settings - yet, it's something that seems more likely with each passing day.

  However, I would like to know if there are others with this problem and how / if they solved.

  First, try the automated Microsoft fixit at the link below.

  Windows 7

  Check if the drive works now.

  If the drive still does not work, open all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In at the prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

  sfc/scannow                (Note that there is a space between sfc and /)

  Let the entire process, then the output type and press ENTER.

  Then, click on the Start Menu, open Control Panel and click Device Manager.  Click to open the CD/DVD-ROM drives.  Right-click on the drive and choose uninstall.  Do not delete if requested drivers.  When the device has been uninstalled click the icon 'Search for hardware changes' (usually just below help in the toolbar).  Let windows reinstall the disc and see if it works now.

  The files must be legal DVD or still to retranscode them. If so, it will use "automatic" (in which case it should adapt), or settings you have applied.

  Look at assets in the project Panel and columns for the status of transcoding DVDs and transcoding DVD setting. What did he say? Or better, post a screenshot.

  Probably not.

  Need an external hard drive as large or larger than the drive you want to back up.

  You have not said what backup software you are using.

  I use Carbon Copy Cloner by https://bombich.com/ $40.00 there. You can also use Super Duper.

  These two products will make a bootable backup complete or a clone of you existing hard drive, including your recovery partition.

  Once you made the backup, if your hard drive has never been to fail, you could simply start on the external backup drive.

  If you back up because you're upgrading the hard drive for an SSD, you can put the SSD in an external enclosure and clone your drive in the SSD, test it, and then replace the HD when you are confident that it works well.
