Disabling this option should have no impact on the performance that you call the sequence only once.

  I have fixed it - supported preferences with MozBackup (Favorites and passwords only), uninstalled firefox, reinstalled firefox and then restored my backup. I had to reinstall my extensions separately. Looks like my extensions in APPDATA has been corrupted (or something!)
