I installed firefox does not resemble that in the tutorial?

Example the tabs are not above the "awesome bar" and there is no label of firfox upstairs just menus

The default configuration is different depending on the operating system you are using. For example, on Windows 7 and Windows Vista, Firefox orange button rather than the menu bar, but on Windows XP, the menu bar is on. Here are the settings that you can easily change.

For the Firefox button, see the menu of Firefox instead of the menu bar button

For tabs on top of the navigation bar, right-click anywhere on the tab bar, and select "tabs on top.

To get the new interface, you need to hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.

  • 35.0.1 Firefox does not recognize that the last flash is installed

There was a series of updates to flash, and I kept with them as helped my package manager. However, firefox is not recognize later as the last.

topic: plugins, shows that the version is 11.2.202.425
My Package Manager shows that the version is 11.2.202.440

Firefox and my package manager agree on the way to the .so file. Actually, I copied the path to the file so on firefox and checked in the terminal and it is the version of the right package AND chains told me that the incorporated itself into the .so version string is the most recent. Yet, somehow, firefox really, really think it is version.425 instead de.440.

I restarted firefox. I even rebooted, even if it should not be necessary.

Currently, this version of Flash has been marked as vulnerable:
Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.440 and earlier for Linux

It's weird that package and everything: plugins page is different however.

This also occurs when you update to the latest: [11.2.202.442]

  • Firefox does not after clicking on the symbol, cannot remove firefox because it tells me that it is still open! Windows 7 64 bit

Firefox does not at all. Would like to remove it and reinstall, however when trying to uninstall a message pops up that I need to first close firefox! In short: impossible to remove firefox, impossible to reinstall, cannot use it. Operating system Windows 7, 64 bit, Sony laptop computer VAIO PCG 81213 M. Firefox worked just fine before. IE works fine.

This can help if you have had the same problem as me on the occasions.

Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar. In the menu that appears, select "start Task Manager". Along the upper part of the "Task manager" window, select the 'process '. You will see a list of running processes. Scroll down the list until you see Firefox. Select it and press the 'end process' at the bottom right. Click 'end process' on the warning popup that appears. Firefox should disappear from the list. Now you should be able to start or to uninstall. If Firefox does not appear in the list at all so this fix is not for you. I hope this helps.

  • My firefox does not work llook like the most recent version. I downloaded it on my aunts comp and in the corner upper lft, there's a firefox orange box but still just mine has firefox symbol.

I had firefox for over a year and I recently installed on my computer of aunts. When I've done in the upper left corner, there was an orange box that says firefox on it. I have recently installed on my computer and it's always the same, as I had before. (Just the symbol of firefox) How can I get the latest version? It does not say I have the 6.2 or what is the most recent. Thank you in advance for the quick response to my question.

The current stable version is Firefox 6. 0.2

    https://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/how-do-i-get-Firefox-button
    Why can't I see it?

To make Firefox look like other programs in Windows XP, the menu bar is displayed instead of the Firefox button, while under Windows Vista and Windows 7, the button is displayed by default in Firefox.

  • Firefox does not take into account the settings in/etc/hosts Mac Mavericks

Firefox sees only the first entry, defined in/etc/hosts to 127.0.0.1.

Basically, Firefox does not see the changes to the DNS entries, that I made in/etc/hosts. Chrome is. However, later, I noticed that Safari is not to see them. After troubleshooting below, I solved the problem by moving all my/etc/hosts statements to different lines according to them here: http://www.justincarmony.com/blog/2011/07/27/mac-os-x-lion-etc-hosts-bugs-and-dns-resolution/

I have no idea why that works. But it does not resolve the problem for Firefox and Safari.

I have tried a number of things according to this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1011327

I tried many things (typing about: config in the address bar):
    Set keyword.enabled false
    browser.fixup.alternate.enabled set to false
    tour of DNS caching.

None of these things worked, but did all my config/etc/hosts the migration of multiple domains on a single line to separate lines. Hope this helps someone.

  • Player version listed in the GUI does not match that of the executable file (new)

I've posted about this before (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4817948), but has never been able to find an answer.

I am currently deployment of Adobe Reader versions 10.1.5 using the MSI installer and group policy. The problem is that a user stops his midway to Windows 7 computer while installation MSI interrupt (i.e. screwing) installation process. I had to remove some entries from the registry and restart the PC of the user in order to restart the installation of the reader (something I've done in the past).

To verify that the drive has been installed successfully, I navigate to the Reader (AcroRd32.exe) executable Program Files, double-click the executable, select on Adobe on the Help menu, check the version number in the info box and see that the version number is 10.1.4 (i.e. the old version that I'm upgrading to). However, when I travel to the Reader (AcroRd32.exe) executable in Program Files and and open the properties of the file, I see the version 10.1.5 (i.e. the new version I am upgrading to).

So the Player version listed in the GUI does not match that specified in the executable box.

It's the second time that this has happened with a Windows 7 PC. I've never known this kind of thing with a PC running Windows XP.

Why is the different version number in the GUI? Where the version number read to leave for the GUI? The registry? Anyone can shed some light on this situation?

    Hi Grittyminder,

Remove some reg entries is not going to give you clean uninstall if you pouvez get a viable product. You can run this to get a better result: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.

While I don't know what the problem is, it would be interesting to check the version of the product using the MSI API as described in the guide of the administrator to the www.adobe.com/go/acrobatetk.

  • Firefox does not recognize that I have already installed add-ons (guests to install Add - ons I've already installed AND enabled). Why?

Modules, which are updated already installed and running (and have been for awhile), seem to think that they are not added. Looking at my modules in the Tools menu, they are listed as enabled. However, clicking to access their information page on the web (where you can read reviews, and where you initially chose to add them to Firefox), the "Add to firefox" button is available. (As opposed to some kind of "already installed" or button "Uninstall" or "Reinstall") I tried the button to see if pressing him THEN told me 'you have this', but it does not! He started to download the plug-in, I already have! What is going on?

Hello Amsuko, the "+ add to Firefox" button on addons.mozilla.org and similar sites is just a normal static element on the website. Web sites do not have the ability to query what extensions a user has already installed (it would probably be considered as a violation of privacy / security). When you install an add-on that is already present on your system, it will simply not be replaced...

  • Newly installed Firefox, does not remember password for all the

I just installed Firefox 12 on a new computer and after the first password, he stopped to remember the other passwords, nor doe he asks me if I want to save them. I'm not in private browsing mode, and the "Remember password" box in the Options is checked.

I tried to delete the files key3db and signons.sqlite as it is also recommended, but did not help

Would it be because I installed the add-on lastpass? I removed it, but maybe it caused some persistent damage?
    Thank you!

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  • Firefox does not meet password when the choice of multiple passwords stored for a Web site

I don't understand, I seem to be the only one with this problem. I use Firefox on Android, and when I have several passwords stored for a website, the password does not automatically.
Things work very well when I only have a password for this site: load Web site and the password appears automatically with the user name.
When you have several passwords stored for a domain name, no password is filled, but you can choose between all the names of registered users. When I choose a user name, the password is not met.

    Expected behavior:
I chose a user name to log in with the password appears on its own.
    Actual behavior:
I chose a user name to log in with, but the saved password does not automatically, as if I chose a user name from a list of saved form data.

    Steps to reproduce:
    -Use Firefox for Android.
-Save 2 different user names on a Web site like for example google.com.
    -Load the website.
-Choose among 2 saved connections. -> Password is not displayed.

I'm doing something wrong? Or is this a bug? I can't find anything online, that is why I am discovering here...

    Thanks for reading!

    I have two theories:

    1. If you use a master password and sync again, passwords will not be synchronized.
    2. What preferences on mobile you in settings > privacy > "password main user ' and 'Remember password' and what preferences on Office: menu Tools > Options > Security >"remember passwords for sites ".

    See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/User_name_and_password_not_remembere...

You can try these https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../976537#answer-497999 measures

  • Firefox does not attempt to remember the passwords even if I click the "Remember" button and I didn't erase the passwords etc. memory of passwords

Security is set to "remember passwords" and privacy settings does NOT erase passwords. When I go to connect to a site of the bubble 'Remember password' is displayed, but does nothing when I click on "Save password". He hang around for a few seconds then disappears. When I come back on the Firefox site does not enter my username and password but still asking if I want to remember the password.

If starting in safe mode fix then try this:

It is possible that there is a problem with key3db and signons.sqlite files that store the encrypted names and passwords in Firefox.

Rename signons3.txt and signons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.

You can add .old files (key3.db.old and signons.sqlite.old) names or move them to another folder to make it possible to cancel the action.

You must define a new master password after renaming or removing the signons3.txt and all the currently saved passwords are lost.

If that worked, then you can delete the renamed files that are no longer needed.
