I lost my recent actions - is there a chance to get back them

As I started the PS today, all the actions for the past 6 months have disappeared.

Right now PS shows only the older actions of last winter...

Is there a chance to recover my shares?

in versions former cc he was this option where I could save all my settings in the cloud, including the actions, but I couldn t find in current version.

Is it hidden somewhere else?

How can I save my palette of actions including all actions? y at - it another option to save all unique zeros?

CC 2015.5

Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

Mac Pro

Maybe from your time machine backup or mac.  If you have not saved, they would be in your Photoshop userid preferences files.  After you save and edit actions, you must always save the action defined in order to have a copy outside your preferences of Photoshop user id.  File name in preferences 'Actions Palette.psp'

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

    Recovery methods:

If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. • W7Pro - disabled updates a year, now there is unable to get back them

Yuh, my wife turned off updates to MS a year ago - they would be still listed but not completed, after I had some major problems with the updates on my PC.

The last index update is from March. There are a total of 86 listed updates. But when I chose some to install-it fails to download. He tried, but never gets beyond 0% download. I had it running for at least half an hour. I also tried to look for new updates - same result.

I then ran the Fixit program but still no luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Joe

Install all the missing listed in the table above this page manually in advance:

Set never 'Find updates' automatic updates and restart before installing.

The desktop icons? You have absolutely nothing on the screen? Or only some icons are missing?

Perhaps your desktop icons are hidden.

Right-click on the desktop, and then select view.
Under view, place a check on "show desktop icons".

    Any change?

    See you soon!

  • Lost all my shortcuts on the desktop and cannot get back them!

Whenever I turn on my laptop, my living room of shortcuts for a few seconds, when the office, then they disappear forever once that it has finished loading!  This has happened for a few weeks now and I don't know how to fix it.  Also, when I right click on any program and try to send it on the desktop as a shortcut, it does not work, nothing happens! I tried to restore to a couple different points before the last windows update, and that didn't work either.  I also run full antivirus scans, etc & still nothing.  Help please! I want my shortcuts back!

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.  I hope you have a point to rstore dating back that far.

If this does not work, go to start / computer / C:\Users\\desktop (and you may also go to C:\Users\All Users\Bureau) and see if they contain elements of your desktop.  If so, copy all files and paste them on your desktop.  You can probably rearrange, but who should return them.

If this does not work, your user profile may be corrupted.  To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  If that is the only available Administrator Profile (you need to be an administrator to fix this), enable the Hidden Administrator Account (HAA) using http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?&lang=en&cr=US&guid=&sloc=en-us&dg=microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords&p=1&tid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055&mid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055.  If you don't remember the password, try nothing because that's probably what you (or seller) did during the installation.  Once that is done, don't forget to disable the HAA to save it in case it is necessary once again and for safety reasons (since people often try to hack into systems using this account).  Do NOT use the HAA as your administrator account because if you lose the only administrator on the system account or it is damaged again, then you're watered.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Restoring to factory settings formats the disc, and which erases
everything what he. You probably get something new, but you can
try to do a search on the web for a recovery program that unformats the reader
    like here: http://www.easeus.com/resource/unformat.htm

If you unformat the drive successfully and can recover lost files
back, the first thing you should do copy on an external
(CD, DVD, USB sticks, external hard drives, etc.).
    Two other points/questions:

    1. why restore you to the factory settings? This is usually the worst
approach to solve a problem, there's a lot of extra long hard
work and often leads to problems of its own (as it did here).

    2. I assume you have no backup on external media from your
photos of important files etc. In this case. you played with
the fire. You can read this article on the backup that I wrote:

  • My thunderbird email just lost all the files, I had. I can get back somehow?

Yesterday, I noticed that no email came through. When I hit get mail it seems it failed or safety was not valid. I tried to substitute, and again, it would fail. Today I came home to see if it worked and it was not. I went to my account and looked at the account settings. I did some research on google and did a 2nd represent the same email. (All using Pop3). Then I had 2 identical accounts, both with all my files. (it's a business e-mail, I have a lot of important info here). It worked so I deleted the other account and then everything disappeared. EVERYTHING! No email or files of any kind and then he told me that I had no access to anything. I had to play around and finally get email in the account, but only from June 10 to the today. My files have disappeared... Is it possible to recover. I have some very important things that I need Monday. How can I get back them?

Mail is listed under account. Where did you think that the records would be when you deleted the account that they were attached to? People do it because there was a Thunderbird, but which reality help me to understand.

My phone has load the other night during a power failure and the morning my contacts and contacts BB disappeared.  These contacts are not lost, because it's my gmail contacts list - but I can't get back them on my phone.  I clicked all the buttons on the sync, but no luck.  I can't manually add a contact and not seeing him.  In the options of the contacts, it says I have 288 contacts associated with my gmail account, and when I manually add one, it goes up by another number.  But - I can't see them anywhere.

Also, I deleted the email account and set up again ensuring the sync box, took out the battery and SIM card and put back and still nothing.  Advice anyone?

You see if gmail is your default service for a list of contacts?

If this is the case, then delete the account gmail from your device and set up in this way:

Since the device, go to mobile.blackberry.com
Scroll to connect and click Send.
Click on join now to gmail.  See if the sync works now.

Could you give the name of this widget that you have installed, which seems to have caused harm?

I think the best solution is to go to the Adobe CC , this Panel application where you can manage all Adobe applications. Uninstall Museand re-install it.
