    Hello

I use a laptop dell inspiron with windows 7 - I set up a wireless connection with talk talk about 6 weeks - and things has of worked - this weekend the small icon at the bottom of the laptop had a red throug crodd there - when I clicked on "Open the network and sharing Center" he registered the wireless connection, I use and had a maximum strength indicator , but a red cross through the connection.

I checked the wireless router with my computer pc laptop and work - blaze they work correctly. So I have concluded, the dell laptop itself (which is about 6 weeks old).

I plugged the yellow wire - and makes hard wired - and the internet works on the laptop.

If the Dell is still under warranty, by all means, file a claim and see if a new card does the trick.  It is a Forum of Vista, this is why everything is on Vista - you should have posted in the Forums of Windows7 if it is the OS you use - then the tips and links correspond to your system.  I suggested to contact Dell in a previous post - not specifically for this, but it would have developed in the conversation.

Even if it is not under warranty, there is a good chance that the card is the problem if the system can connect wirelessly with another device (which means that the configuration is correct and connections work and Vista has no problem with the wireless operation).  If you can, try to make sure you can return it for a full refund if you attach and encounter the same problem.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

I'm trying to set up an ad-hoc connection between two laptops. I created a network. When I right click and select Properties. • Equium L350/l350D, no wireless connection option

I can't seem to find an option to connect to the internet wireless, when I go to the Connection Wizard, I have only the option of broadband and dial-up. Any ideas?

Let me ask you, how do you connect to the internet, which means that you have a router with the wireless function? Normally, if you use a router, you will need to enter the information to the ISP in this unit.

To establish a connection to your router, go to the control panel and choose the center of network connection. Double-click on wlan device. Then, a window should appear that you will need to enter the encryption key.

The connection wizzard you described is, if you want to connect your laptop directly to the internet by a dsl modem or a similar device.

  • Photosmart C6280: Wireless connection Option is missing from the installation all-in-one Photosmart C6280 on Windows 10

When I was installing the complete drivers for my old C6280 Photosmart all-in-one on my new laptop Windows 10, I arrived at the place where it asks what type of connection, I have between my computer and my camera.  It provides USB and wired Ethernet in option, but there is no available wireless option, although when I click on 'Help' the third option consists of the description.  With my old laptop, I was able with print and scan wireless, so I expect to be able to do the same thing on my new laptop.  All the buttons on the installation software were grey, including the 'Back' and 'Cancel', until I made a choice, so I clicked on wired Ethernet, and buttons 'connect a printer later', hoping the third option would be there when I went to the desktop application 'Add a device' later.  No chance!

Connect the printer via an Ethernet cable to your router and follow the installation instructions.

  • Photosmart 7520: Photosmart 7520 has lost its wireless connection

Our photosmart 7520 used to print beautifully two laptops, but today it stopped printing at all and seems to have lost its connection to the internet.

I tried to remove it from my system preferences, to reset, and when I tried to add it, it was no longer on the list of available printers.

    Hello @cornylouise!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I would be happy to provide you with assistance on the Photosmart 7520 and the problem of communication between 2 laptops.  If the printer is no longer being found by computers, then you can by looking at a slight problem of Wi - Fi.  The first thing I would suggest is the cycle of power cables to the printer and the router by unplugging the power for 20 seconds.  Once the devices back on then see if you can add the printer to laptop computers.

If you are unable to find the printer then I suggest to restore the default settings of network on the printer and it reconnect to the wireless network.

To restore the default settings of the network printer:

    1. To press the Wi - Fi icon at the top of the touch screen to printer
    2. Tap Settings
    3. Tap on restore default network settings and confirm

To run the Wireless Setup Wizard:

    1. Icon press the Wi - Fi at the top left of the screen touchscreen printer
    2. Tap Settings
    3. Press wireless configuration wizard
    4. Select your network
    5. Enter the password and confirm it
    6. Check if the computer can find the printer again

If please, after back and let me know how it goes!

  • Satellite L500 - lost wireless connection

My Satellite L500 recently lost the wireless connection. I looked towards the top of the Realtek wireless device in Device Manager and it says that the device is functioning properly. I tried to use "ping 192.168.1.1" join the router, and I get "error Transmit - general failure."

    Any ideas?

    Hey Buddy,

And now Windows recognize some WIFI networks at your fingertips? Your validation lost wireless connection isn't very useful

You should try a WLAN driver update that you can download from the official page of Toshiba:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

If you can't find or connect to WLAN networks deactivate in the Windows of the WLAN power save mode power profiles. You will need to set for maximum performance.

  • Wireless connection lost after update

Last night I downloaded and installed the February Patch Tuesday updates from Microsoft on my WinXP netbook. When I rebooted the computer, wouldn't my wireless connection. My other computer of Windows XP (not yet updated) worked very well. I did a restore of the system on the netbook for just before the updates, and now my Internet is back. No idea of what happened and what I should do next? I would like to install the security updates... Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestion, Halima. I don't even think to look here so far, as I never received an email informing me that I had a response. What I ended up doing after the restoration of the system is to reinstall two updates at once. And this time everything went well. I still have no idea why I lost my wireless connection, first.

  • Satellite L300 - losing wireless connection

    Hello

    (loss of wireless connection)
I'm not technical interest in this area, but rather disturbing and it is worse, I thought I would post this question to see if anyone new what it was.

This laptop is new (Toshiba Satellite L300-1BV) Home premium 32-bit.
This happens a lot and it can be "A PAIN" and really fustrating, I suddenly lost my wireless connection and I can't view available wireless networks to try to connect again, especially since I have to restart the laptop and everthing is back to normal.

He can be nice days then all of a sudden, this will happen, but why am I not pick up all other available networks.

Network provider... BT YAHOO TO BROADBAND
    Router... BT HOMEHUB 2.0
    network card... REALTEK RTL8187B WIRELESS 802. 11B / G 54MBPS USB 2.0 NETWORK ADAPT.

I know for interference and have done everthing possible to avoid this...

    Hello

    -Update the display driver
    -Update the BIOS
-Disable the Save feature in WLAN power Windows power management
-Check the WLAN standard (for example: 802.11 g or Draft N)

In addition, you should read the hundreds of threads here in the forum on the problems of WIFI. It might be very useful! ;)

  • A100-201 wireless connection loss

    Hello

I bought my laptop in December and have been using broadband wireless since but yesterday he lost the wireless connection. My provider has said that it is because I need my card rank up. Is that correct, and how can I do this?

I'm not very good with the technical side of things.

    Hello

It's very strange because the wireless connection worked all the time and all of a sudden it doesn t.
    Have you changed something?

Hmm in my opinion, you should first check if the wireless network adapter is enabled and try to configure your WLan router and WLan connections again.
All WLan check the encryption, keys, etc.

Your service provider recommends updating the map?
I think the guy meant the WLan driver!

You check you WLan card and if it s a card WLan Intel visit just the Intel site and download the latest version of the WLan driver.

  • WRT54G2 ver 1.5 firmware update - loss of wireless connection

After updating the firmware by the instructions, everything worked as expected until I received the message "upgrade reboot successfully" and I clicked on "continue".  At this time there the indications pointing to reset the router, I did.  But I could not restore the routers settings according to the instructions because I lost my wireless connection and could not properly use the Wi - Fi Protected Setup to restore.  I was blocked because the cell phone was the only computer on the network.  After a few hours and find out I could directly access internet via the modem, I found a solution in the forum that has helped me.  I used a patched my laptop and additional ethernet cable into one of the ports on the router and managed to access my page of the web-based configuration, and everything was good.  Hope this helps someone else and allows them to save time and heartache.

That is right.  You're never update firmware wireless as it says in the instructions to always use a wired computer.

  • Re: Satellite S70T-A-016 - no option for wireless connection

    Greetings,

Just picked up one new Satellite S70T-A-016. Everything worked very well last night and I had a wireless connectivity, but now, I have no option for a wireless connection. I pressed the button F 12, and the only message I get is ' airplane Mode on / off. I don't know if I pushed inadvertently something I shouldn't or not. Have connected by cable to Toshiba and updated the atheron wireless LAN and realtek drivers but still nothing. Troubleshooting only tells me to plug an Ethernet cable.

Starting at this, so any help step by step would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Usually, if you turn off the airplane mode WIFI should work.
Check please follow option: move the mouse to the lower right corner and when you see options on the right, click settings. You will see the option for the WLAN. Click it and you will see the options networks. Make sure that airplane mode is DISABLED and Wi - Fi mode.

You don't need to reinstall drivers. Laptop is preinstalled with all the necessary things and the reason for not working WLAN are bad options I think.

Please check it out and provide feedback.

    Hi Ron,

1 Windows operating system you are using?

    2. you receive messages or error codes?

You can read the following article and check.

Windows wireless and wired network connection problems

If you use Windows XP, then read the following article:

How to troubleshoot wireless network connections in Windows XP Service Pack 2

This problem can also occur when the power management profile turns off your network card.

You can try the following steps and check if it helps.

    a. click Start, type device manager in start search and press ENTER.

    (b) in Device Manager, expand network adapter.

    c. now you will see your network adapter or adapters if you have more than one. Right-click on the network component, and then click Properties.

    d. go to the power management tab.

    e. ensure that all check boxes are unchecked (check boxallow the computer to turn off this device to save power is off).

    f. If you have disabled the boxes, click ok and restart your system. Put the computer in Hibernate mode and check if you still have any questions.

  • Wireless connections is lost after count is inactive.

My internet connection seems to be time. After that my counter top has sat idle for about 15 minutes my wireless connection is lost. I have to click on connect and wait until I can get online. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Frontier trying to get help from their Abu this question, but no one can seem to help me. No idea why it will not stay connected?

Original title: network Ethernet NIC network adapter wireless network device

After that my counter top has sat idle for about 15 minutes my wireless connection is lost.

Wireless connection to what?   Sounds like a router problem, so you can get better help a forum that specializes in this (e.g. by the manufacturer, not an a Microsoft support forum).   In addition, some ISPS will not help unless you restore a direct modem connection, if it does not work properly, often so you might be out of luck to get help from this side in any case.

    Good luck
