I lost three years of emails in my Inbox in Thunderbird. They can be recovered?

All e-mails from the Inbox of December 5, 2013-3 August 2016 have disappeared from my Inbox. I deleted not consciously their. I found a copy deleted from the Inbox in my recycle bin date August 10, 2016 (840 MB) which is bigger that my inbox today (352 MB) so I hope this can help in the recovery. I also have an old copy of my index file global-messages - db.sqlite of August 11 (116 MB), when I noticed the problem and rebuilt the index (now 60 MB). To retrieve any help would be great thanks!

It's curious. The presence of your old file from the Inbox in the folder Recycled suggests something that's happened at the file system level. Thunderbird would have put it in its own folder Trash .

In your file manager, you could simply copy the file to the Inbox (maybe you should rename everything first) of your recycled in the local files folder. Then, it and its content must appear in Thunderbird.

Please consider filing your messages. Statistically, the Inbox is suffering more corruption than other less frequently used folders. IMHO, it is not safe or suitable for storage in the long term.

Every new message that arrives has to be appended to your big single Inbox file and its Inbox.msf index file rewritten. It's a lot of data unnecessarily. Except, perhaps, you use the experimental maildir format.

  • We lost power at our Windows XP device received updates. How can I recover my machine?

Last Thursday my Windows XP machine was receiving automatic updates when I closed the computer.  The screen says not to turn off our machine until updates were complete.  We lost power before the updates were complete.  The next time I logged on our 'User' account and it does not have our wallpaper can save anything.  Nothing was in 'My Documents'.

It's looks like it has created a new account.  In Windows Explorer, I see that 'My Documents' was really under the account "user-B2760D6ACA".  This isn't an account that was there before.  There is always a 'User' account, but connect brings you this new account.  How can I recover my mahcine so that he can come back as it was before the automatic updates to occur?  I tried "System Restore" option, but the sooner I can get back to East after Thursday (when the crash occurred).

    Hi JatwellZZ,

Start in safe mode and check if your user account has no problem.
    For more information, see:
If the same problem persists, connect to the built-in Administrator account in safe mode and create a new user account.

The default built in Safe Mode administrator account appears as administrator when you connect mode without failure.

  • After that reinstallation of vista I lost e and entered emails in windows mail windows calendar I can retrieve these

After reinstalling vista I lost all the entries in the windows calendar and emails in windows mail can retrieve these

    Hello

When you reinstall the operating system you wipe the hard drive.

Depending on how you have reinstalled Vista:

    Look for a folder windows.old

"How to restore your personal files after performing an installation of Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/932912

And you can try this free program to try to recover data lost, etc.:

Other meanings, you will need to contact companies for recovery of data, which are very expensive.

    See you soon.

  • When I compact my folders in Outlook Express, I lost most of my emails in my Inbox.

I was able to recover by restoring my computer.

See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2 and also point 3.  You should immediately back up your messages, as in OE they tend to self-destruct.

  • I have sudenly lost a years worth of emails

Hi, I use Outlook Express 6 with Windows XP, I noticed I lost years of email value out of all my files, I used Outlook express 6 for a long time and I've never met a problem like this, I lost every email since 6 May 2010 until April 8, 2011 on all files (have some private folders where I keep corrispondance I want to keep separate folders) I noticed when I'm trying to download my emails, Outlook Express flickered and close, but when I opened it again all the emails, including emails which have been busy downloading had disappeared, I did a check of virus with Avast, but no viruses appear, is it possible I can get those e-mails that some of them are quite important, any help will be greatly accepted.

Greetings to all who may be able to help me.

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
    http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact

    Why mail disappears:

    About file Corruption:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/IE/community/columns/filecorruption.mspx

    Recovery methods:

If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
    http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspx

    And see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

    And backup often.

  • After three years

Hello, I am a user of a precarious Compaq CQ50 104NR (P/N: FE875UA) that I bought about 3 years ago. This laptop has been a boon to them for the past three years, especially in the first years of 1 and half of its use. However, I am now extremely upset by this product, because after only 3 years, it is no longer functional and all my attempts to get its software functions have been blocked by the problems compounding materials. Given the number of questions coming from my laptop, one might think that I took very poor care of her. Nothing could be further from the truth. Here is a list of the problems that have arisen in nearly a sequential i order that it took place.

    (1) the cord needed replacement because it Frays at the crossroads where he met the box (I don't know his exact name). This has happened despite meticulously wrapping so that this never folded junction.

    (2) the laptop heated at a rapid pace, allowing it to start cutting at the drop of a hat. I was told by a reputable sales and repair service who acted with the fan so I asked that to be fixed.

    (3) the screen would quickly up and down as if jumping or flicker. I don't know the cause of this and the research online, I came to the conclusion that it was with a cord or other losses coming.

    (4) the screen would spontaneously less bright and then clear up to its original luster. When this happens, the laptop would stall. I just thought it was simply because of the need to change the battery. However, a software problem later which lead me needs to recover my system son me the my last question.

    (5) when I tried to recover my laptop after having known one another 'blue screen of death"that left my laptop unable to exceed the faze of loading the boot sequence, I received a message telling me that he needed to be plugged in to AC power for this type of operation. This confuses me, because it was already plugged in to AC power. So find that strange, I took special note of the LED with the bolt of electricity above and I noticed that it was not light despite being connected.

What I want to know is, what I do now, because this is obviously beyond the scope of all the repair of your free software based. I am very disappointed and upset this series of failures that happened in quick succession on the other. Can I change it? Can I get some kind of useful advice and long-term and/or support because as a student at the University, my life is very busy and hectic, and with the new semester on start in a few weeks, I need my laptop because it is an integral part of this hectic and busy lifestyle. I don't know if they are already gone, but I think I've lost a number of important documents and copy files such as notes and soft manuals. This is nto start talking about personal things like my email and music.

So I'm practically begging here, please help, because it has left a bad taste in my mouth to what I thought, it was a very reliable brand.

    [number removed for privacy]

Screen dimming is probably due to the inverter (less than $20 eBay).  The question of burden is probably the power supply.  The socket is shorted, broken pin or cold welding (even eBay probably less than $20).  The overheating problem will require new thermal paste of very good quality on the processor and the video chip. The problem is that you will probably have someone do it for you.  The price of labor could vary from a work time of three hours depending on the store.  Labour rate of $ 50 to $ 150 depending on the store area.  I guess that some countries that the United States may be much cheaper.  If you know people in the computer science program at the school, it can cost you nothing but a few large glasses of... Ah... glazed iced tea, the Yes!  Today, computers become faster and better very fast pace.  I will start to think twice before you approached $ 400 to repair and consider upgrade to a new machine.  Of course, it must be able to come up with the rest of the money.

Hello benjigirl, you could try to perform a Windows Restore Point. This can put your system back as it was before the number is released.

To perform a Windows Restore Point, go to the start ORB, all programs, accessories, System Tools, System Restore, and look for a date prior to the issue appeared. You must check the box to display all available restore points.

At the start of the Windows system restore, the system will reboot and restore the system and boot to the desktop. You should receive a message that the system has been restored, or the system could not be restored.

  • I paid for the subscription of three years last year and I was not able to use the progam... currently I moved I don't know if I can find my serial number, even if I can have pilled upward through my bank statements

    Hi christineg24805464,

You can check under your active subscription account: Adobe ID

Serial key is not required to activate the subscription.

It can be activated using your e-mail address with which you bought the subscription and the Adobe password.

  • lost all my emails in my Inbox, how can I get back them

I told myself I can communicate with Firefox and they can put back them. Is what if and how can I communicate with Firefox?

Firefox is a Web browser, it has nothing to do with your emails. You can go to a site that displays your emails (uch like Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.) and check your emails using firefox, but Firefox has nothing to do with them. so no, to recover the lost emails mozilla can't help.

  • Can I pay for the Apple support after my three years apple Plan of Protection ends in June?

Can I continue to get the support of Apple after my three-year AppleCare plan expired in June? I'd be willing to pay an annual fee, as the support has been fantastic.

    N °

    Warranty periods are not forever.

When your AppleCare long ends in June, it will stop.

There is no longer any other warranty, your coverage will end.

In addition, you already paid Apple for your warranty period of three years, anyway.

By the end, you can bring your Mac to an Apple Store for a diagnostic workup and interior cleaning.

That's what I did before my iMac 2009 extended AppleCare ended.

    I'm sorry.

I have apple I pad 4, he is three years old. OS 9.2.1 appliction10, 12.5 GB, available 3.8 GB capacity. It was very fast loading. Recently is seems to take forever. Several minutes.

Press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used. Drag to the left to find the application you want to close. Swipe up on the preview of the application to close. Do this with all applications.

Force now restart your iPad. To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

IF this does not help, after the return of more detailed information such as what do you exactly mean by it takes several minutes to load.

  • When sending emails to the account of my three children, the emails are just be stuck in the Outbox.

Original title: Emails stuck in the Outbox in Outlook

In the Outlook of my three children accounts, they can not send emails to anyone other than a handful of family members.  I suspect it's a left block by when the parental control of Microsoft allowed us to control the addresses they could send to.  But that feature has been removed, but it feels as if the 'blocks' are still in place.  This leaves us not use their accounts to mail to friends, teachers, etc.

Can someone help me remove these blockages?

    The symptoms are very clear:

    1. in all accounts, I can send an email to my own or my wife Outlook account.  Here are the addresses that we allowed long to the parental control of Microsoft.

    2. immediately after, if I try to send an email to a different address (for example, to my e-mail address of work that I never "allowed" back in the day), the email goes directly into the Outbox and sits there without error.

    3. what happens on our iPhones, iPads and PCs; so, it is not related to the browser, any cache problem, etc.

    Help, please.

    David

    Hi David,

Thank you for waiting. Our support specialist has made some adjustments on the accounts of the child. Please try to send emails using these accounts and then inform us of the results.

    Kind regards.

  • There must be 150 updates connected on my desk, some like three years old. Should I leave them in place or should they be deleted/non-installed?

Can I remove updates auto by as much as three years?

Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$ who reside in C:\windows (hidden files) are window Hot difficulty updating folders/files) can be removed safely (providing ever, you wish to uninstall the updates). I recommend you leave these records for a period of at least one month to make sure that the update works correctly.

These updates can be removed individually or together. To learn more about the update/s go on:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/xxxxxx
NB: XXXXXX = the actual number, not to mention the "Q" or "Ko."

Once you have removed the uninstall folders/files, then go to control panel, add/remove programs. Select the title of the corresponding Windows fix on the folder/file of the patch you just deleted, and select Delete. You will get a Windows error. This is because you deleted the uninstall folder/files. Simply choose OK and the entry will be removed from the Add/Remove Programs list.
