I'm trying to reset my Windows Media Player libraries.

I was not able to do this through the command prompt and when I try to delete the file .wmdb to view files/folders it says "Open in WIndows Media Player Network Sharing Service" I tried to turn off the sharing, I can find but I can not delete this and reset my libraries.

  • How to reset the windows media player 12 default settings

Original title: how to reset the windows media player 12 default settings

My Windows media Player 12 has stopped play all the sounds (Win 7 HP 64 bit) - I can play sounds with Windows media Center, DIVX, etc. of Winamp, but not with Win Media Player. I would like to reset Windows Media Player 12 to its default state, either by doing a reset or reinstall. Can someone tell me how to do what you please?

Do these two steps [they are the closest thing possible to uninstall then reinstall WMP & will actually provide a new installation of WMP]

1 unload WMP - Panel, programs and features, [left] turn on or off has Windows, multimedia features, clear box Windows Media Player, Yes, OK, restart the PC.

2 reload WMP - Panel, programs and features, [left] turn Windows features on or off, multimedia features, set the Windows Media Player box, Yes, OK, restart the PC.

    b. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.

  • Play the count resets in Windows Media Player

    Original title: play account

    Hello

Just to note, I saw the original post and the solution and it worked for me I posted, but got no answer.

It's here: when I use Windows Media Player (Windows 7), sometimes the game count is based. Listening to songs that have 5 or less seem to loose all play the County. Songs with more than 5 look seem five loose look. And there are a handful of random songs that retain some play account with less than 5 plays and the game number is reduced, but it still has County. Regardless of the type of music file (mp3 etc.).

No matter what I do on my computer when it resets except wen I close the media player. Sometimes it clears if I just close and reopen, sometimes it isn't. If I close and restart the computer, it may or may not wipe the game number. Once when my computer turns off by itself it wipe the County game files.

How can I keep my game count files?

    Thank you

  • Issuw with Windows Media Player libraries.

    Hey everybody,

I recently replaced my Xbox 360 with an Xbox-especially that I like the Media Center of the things, I have the XboxOne added as a UPNP to Play streaming device that seems to work great.

Now my problem is seen of Windows Media Player 12, I made a list of things that I would like to stream (organized in subfolders) is the problem, Windows Media Player does not in fact the subfolders display, instead of this it shows a ridiculously long list of things contained in these files that I added to my library., how to make some organization to the library in WMP 12?

    Look forward to suggestions.

Nevermind - thought about it, had to add folders as a custom view with customized in WMP 12 Navigation pane.

    Open 'WMP 12'
    Choose "organize."
    Select "Custom Navigation pane"

Check "Record" Under the images & Videos groups.

Lengthy but removes the headache of all my articles :)

  • Windows media player libraries

The problem is simple. When I work with my WMP library and delete a folder. for example, my pictures and my videos; they stop to allow me access to their subfolders in my OS library, if you use windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, with WMP12.

This means that... I exclude my pictures folder in the application of WMP and I then cannot access in my library to explore as well. To access it in the Solution Explorer, I have to 'include a folder '. I once then re-included the folder my pictures, and my videos... I am able to access their subfolders in Explorer... and this translates into my WMP with these libraries available to update my information on the media.

I made this several times and it's starting to annoy me a little since I only want--and I want to say ONLY... my MUSIC library to be included as a source for my WMP library.

    To summarize:

    1. out of my photos and my videos as a library in WMP makes it IMPOSSIBLE to access in my library OS browser explore.

    2. to access the libraries excluded my WMP library... I include in my Explorer OS to access them and their subfolders.

    3. once I re - include these folders... WMP starts to update the information on the media of the respective files in my Windows Media Player library.

I want to access my OS Explorer and make them unavailable for my Windows Media Player. Please tell me how to do it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

From your problem description, I understand that when you delete files from the Windows Explorer is removed if deleted Windows Media Player. Please let me know if you do not experience this problem.

It is design when you delete the folder of Windows Media Player, it will be deleted in the Explorer and you can not access the subfolders and we need include folders.

Hope this information is helpful and let us know if you need help with Windows in the future. We will be happy to help.

  • I am trying to connect the windows media player 11 for my playstation 3

I get this message "multimedia file sharing is currently disabled, either because the sharing service is not running or your firewall settings have changed. To restart sharing, you must confirm your sharing settings. "I checked all the settings I can think, but it is not letting me do any ideas?

    Hello

You can temporarily disable the security software and settings of the firewall, and check if that helps.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/firewall-frequently-asked-questions

Also try to open the ports that are used by the public network.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/open-a-port-in-Windows-Firewall

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Hello silvanfay,

When you get the blue screen on your computer? What were you doing when it appeared?

Have you changed your save location of your music files?
If so, to try to resolve the problem, open Explorer, under libraries, click the music tab and click Properties. Now make sure that your backup folder of choice is defined as your backup location. If not, click it and then click on the button "game save loction". It is perhaps one of your configuration settings which are not correct.

Have you tried to reset your Windows Media Player in "programs and features"?

    Step 1.
    Uninstalling Windows Media Player:
    1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
    2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    3. search for multimedia and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
    4 restart the computer

    Step 2.

  • "Windows Media Player has stopped working" when trying to open Media Player

original title: HELP! WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER HAS STOPPED WORKING

Help! -Whenever I tried to open my Windows media player... I get a message that my Windows media player has stopped working... I think the problem is because I had deleted some videos that were inside the window media player... so, how can I solve this problem? Help, please! THX ~

I also had some success with a similar problem by making a backup of the sub folder, then remove it so that media player re-creates its database

    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player
In particular, when you moved or deleted an item in your library and Media player has not picked up the change and displays an entry of spleen, or a duplicate.
  • Windows media player crashes when you start cd play

When I insert a CD in windows media player, screen freezes when cd starts playing and the sound is chopy.

    Hi RonnieDean,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. Are you experiencing a similar problem with a CD you are trying to play using Windows media player?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

See the link below and run the fixit tool available, check if it helps.

Solve the problems of Windows Media Player video and other media or library

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_media_player_diagnostic/

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. Click Start , and then click run.
    2. Type msconfig , and then click OK.
The System Configuration utility dialog box appears.
    3. Click the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services , and then click OK.
    4. When you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.
