Windows Media Player libraries - How to automatically refresh?

I'm streaming media using WMP12 on Windows Home Premium 64 - bit for an XBox. However, when I add files in the monitoring records, I don't see the files added on the XBox. It seems that libraries are not automatically updated. How to set this up?

I copied the 2 files to a DVD movie and he changed the .m2ts file format and it is not supported by Windows Media Player.  How to convert files in a file type supported?

    Hello

The files have already been burned on a DVD and therefore cannot be converted. However, you can download and install third-party codecs to play .m2ts files.

  • Windows media player libraries

The problem is simple. When I work with my WMP library and delete a folder. for example, my pictures and my videos; they stop to allow me access to their subfolders in my OS library, if you use windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, with WMP12.

This means that... I exclude my pictures folder in the application of WMP and I then cannot access in my library to explore as well. To access it in the Solution Explorer, I have to 'include a folder '. I once then re-included the folder my pictures, and my videos... I am able to access their subfolders in Explorer... and this translates into my WMP with these libraries available to update my information on the media.

I made this several times and it's starting to annoy me a little since I only want--and I want to say ONLY... my MUSIC library to be included as a source for my WMP library.

    To summarize:

    1. out of my photos and my videos as a library in WMP makes it IMPOSSIBLE to access in my library OS browser explore.

    2. to access the libraries excluded my WMP library... I include in my Explorer OS to access them and their subfolders.

    3. once I re - include these folders... WMP starts to update the information on the media of the respective files in my Windows Media Player library.

I want to access my OS Explorer and make them unavailable for my Windows Media Player. Please tell me how to do it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

From your problem description, I understand that when you delete files from the Windows Explorer is removed if deleted Windows Media Player. Please let me know if you do not experience this problem.

It is design when you delete the folder of Windows Media Player, it will be deleted in the Explorer and you can not access the subfolders and we need include folders.

Hope this information is helpful and let us know if you need help with Windows in the future. We will be happy to help.

  • Windows Media Player 12: How to permanently display the list pane

Windows Media Player 12: Always list

    Hello world

I've recently updated my computer to Windows 7.

When I was on XP, the list of WMP 11 component was always displayed in the right part of the screen (except mode full-screen).
Now WMP 12, I have to manually right-click and choose "View list" whenever I open WMPand whenever a new video starts .

Could you tell me how to permanently display the list pane?

    Thank you

    Kind regards
    Phil

There is no way to get or retain the component 'list' in Windows Media Player 12. You must create a playlist to see your playlist.

I've been playing with this for hours trying to get the same thing your tyring to get.  Microsoft has changed a lot in the Windows Media Player 12 version. The latest version of the windows media player 11 is the only version that can display the playlist pane.

  • Issuw with Windows Media Player libraries.

    Hey everybody,

I recently replaced my Xbox 360 with an Xbox-especially that I like the Media Center of the things, I have the XboxOne added as a UPNP to Play streaming device that seems to work great.

Now my problem is seen of Windows Media Player 12, I made a list of things that I would like to stream (organized in subfolders) is the problem, Windows Media Player does not in fact the subfolders display, instead of this it shows a ridiculously long list of things contained in these files that I added to my library., how to make some organization to the library in WMP 12?

    Look forward to suggestions.

Nevermind - thought about it, had to add folders as a custom view with customized in WMP 12 Navigation pane.

    Open 'WMP 12'
    Choose "organize."
    Select "Custom Navigation pane"

Check "Record" Under the images & Videos groups.

Lengthy but removes the headache of all my articles :)

  • Windows Media Player won't be automatically in media information?

When I try to copy a CD, the windows media player 11 will not be in the data itself, in spite of being connected to the internet and have settings set so that it can check the internet. Is it possible to fix this?

    Hi Chris_994,

You did changes to the computer before this problem?

I suggest you to rebuild the database from the Windows Media Player 11 library. Later, try to copy a CD and check if the problem persists.

  • How to burn on a DVD + R .avi file in windows media player or how to convert the file, so it can be burned

I'm looking to burn .avi files that I found in the torrent files downloaded using utorrent on a DVD + R disc.  I noticed in several forums that most of the people seem to have problems in windows media player.  Someone mentioned a program in Windows Vista that could be used, but I'm still in the stone age with Windows XP.  I took some advice and downloaded a program called ConvertXToDVD, but I don't know what to convert .avi files to in order to burn properly and play on a standard DVD player.

    Any advice would be helpful.

  • Your device is using an outdated driver is no longer supported by Windows Media Player. How to (1) find out which device is being shown and (2) find a suitable driver for it.

The "error" box appears whenever I invoke Media Player in Windows 7 on my PC.  I have the same speakers, sound card, DVD drive in my PC that did not exist before installing Windows 7.  Compatibility utility says that everything should work.

I found that if I unplugged my Windows Mobile (6.5) from the PC, this error has ceased to occur. Check your USB connections and remove all devices that may have some legacy applications on them.

  • Windows Media Player 12 - How can you save a video?

Sounds stupid I know! but cannot find "" file, save as ".

When I play music, I have the upper tool bar file, display, game tools, help.

I opened a video and the best I can find is save as playlist.

In WMP 11, I had the top toolbar and could use the file save as function.

    Hi Phil180861,

While watching a video, press (Ctrl + 2) to access the mode of the skin.  There you should be able to select "File" > "save under".

  • How to transfer music from the flash drive to the Windows Media Player library

    Windows Media Player

How transfer music from my USB to Windows Media Player.

    Hi johndeere,.

Copy music from the external hard drive to record music and make sure that this folder is set to be monitored by Windows Media Player.

    a. to add or remove folders follow these steps:

    b. click on tools in Windows Media player

    c. then select Options.

    d. click on the Library tab

    e. and then click monitor folders.

    f. to add a folder to the folder list, click Add. Navigate to the folder of your choice.

    g. click OK.

Windows Media Player keeps track of the files on your hard drive. It monitors new files, renamed files, deleted or moved files. When it detects changes, it updates automatically the media library. Windows Media Player watches my music, my videos files and default recorded TV.
