  I see that you both scan problems after upgrade to Windows 10, and I may be able to help.

  Most of the products have updated software available on the HP support Web site for Windows 10.

  I also saw a few posts that say Windows 8.1 driver works for Windows 10 as well, then you could try also.

  HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan doctor to diagnose and troubleshoot printing and scanning problems. I recommend you to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor , if she doesn't fix it automatically I would know what errors or messages that you receive.

  Do you know if you are able to scan using paint?

  Please make sure you have the latest driver installed, in this guide, installation of a printer Mac driver by using Apple Software Update.   It turns out that the priner was bad. I spoke with Barb in support of customer and they have replaced the printer. I received it today and the old cartridges worked well in the new printer. Great support from HP!

  The software for your Deskjet 3050 a is available:

  • 32-bit: DJ3050A_J611_1315.exe
  • 64-bit: DJ3050A_J611_1315.exe

  Before installing the new software, unplug your all-in-one to your pc.

  If you still have problems, try uninstalling/reinstalling the new software.  The OS upgrades are sometimes tricky.

  Method 1: Disable the security software and check if the printer works.
