I need a replacement for the Satellite Pro series recovery CD
Is someone can you please tell me where I can get a replacement for my laptop recovery CD/DVDs?
I tried to find one for centuries, but without success.
Thank you very much
Ed
There are a lot of discussions about the topic even if you're looking for a little more in this category of the forum then you will always find the same answer;
+ ask the ASP in your country for a Recovery CD/DVD compatible.
I agree with Stanislas and recommend to contact the ASP too...
See you soon

Is it possible to use the port replicator with the Satellite Pro series?
Hello
Is it possible to use the port replicator (Docking Stations) for Tecra series laptop with the Satellite Pro series?Hello
No, as far as I know it of not possible to use a port on laptops Satellite Pro Replicator.
All laptops that support the Port Replicator has a port extension at the bottom of the unit.
To my knowledge, the Satellite Pro series don t have this port.
For now only the Tecra and some units Protégé(ie: S100) supports this feature. -

Need new keyboard for my Satellite Pro L40
Hi guys,.
My L40 needs a new keyboard. Can someone be kind enough to advise those who will be compatible with this?
I ask, as the last one I acquired did not even if it was listed as a keyboard for Satellite Pro L40. There were two studs raised who would keep forcing the keyboard out latches. My original keyboard didn't they.
The reference on the original keyboard number is 04GNQA1KUK00 - 2 TB. It's a Toshiba Satellite Pro L40 - PSL4BE-00M005EN.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you

"Cooler" for the Satellite Pro L100 plate
I recently bought a Satellite Pro L100 and would like to buy a plate cooler to go with it. After reviewing, the "Antec Notebook Cooler' looks good; but one of the comments mentions that this plate is useless for laptops with contributions on the basis (like mine).
Can someone tell me if this is the case, or recommend an alternative?Hello
In my opinion you n t need any plate cooler. If the laptop is placed correctly on the desktop and nothing interfere with good air circulation.
Sorry, but in my opinion it's futility investment.

Hi mate,
Unfortunately, your machine is able to readers ATA (IDE) with the form factor of 2.5 "(inch)."
What you need is a HARD drive with an IDE connector. Regarding the maximum size of the drive you want to install: the machine must be able to handle more than 100 GB since you have a PM 845 chipset installed.
If you want to buy a new HARD drive, then remember the following things:
1. you need a car with an IDE connector
2 card should be 2.5 "
3 limiting the size should be something more than 100 GBI can't really offer you some brands, but toshiba drives are really good. :)

I need some advice for the Satellite L630/03
Hi all
I just bought my first Toshiba L630/037 (http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/products/notebooks/satellite/l630/psk04a-037001/specifications#details) and I'm really excited that I'm waiting to load for hours first 2 or if, after perform you a unboxing conversion it!
He looks bloody awesome and I can't wait to start using it!You have a few questions:
1. when I received it, the sticker that keeps the top down was already torn (as in a person already open).
The clerk said that everything is fine with it, so we opened it to check that the main seal for the laptop has not been broken and that the adapter and cable was there. Now that I'm home and I have everything out, I noticed that I have no CD.
Is that suppose to be right? I'm a bit confused because the last laptop that I bought a few of the installation CD and the drivers that came with it. In addition, is there something else I should be aware of that should have been in the box?
All I have is the power cord, power adapter, manual, portable with battery already in it.2. in the purchase, there are already standard warranty 1 year that comes with the laptop. I noticed on the Toshiba site, you can buy an extended warranty. Should I buy now? Or can I get, say 1 week before the end of year 1?
If anyone has useful tips or advice that would be greatly appreciated!
See you soon!
> I took everything out, I noticed that I have no CD.
Yes, that's right. No CD is delivered pre-installed Toshiba Software is on the HARD drive and you can create a clean recovery disk! Please see the operating manual!> Should I buy now? Or can I get, say 1 week before the end of year 1?
Well, as far as I know you don t need to buy the extended warranty immediately after the laptop was purchasedI found this info:
> Q: When can I buy the extended warranty?
> A: the extended warranty is eligible to purchase, during the period of warranty the laptop

Need driver chart for a Satellite Pro 4300
Hello together,
After that 7 years, I had to reinstall my laptop.
Now, I have no driver for my graphics card. It's a Savage S3. It is all the information I have.
Maybe someone of you know where I get a driver for it.Thank you for the Germany
MartinWow this is really an oldie
I studied a bit and discovered that the Sat Pro 43xx series was equipped with the graphics chip S3 Savage IX.
This chip uses 8 MB of video RAM.Graphics drivers are published on the page of Toshiba Europe. You should check the ARCHIVES area.
But you will find the only driver for Win95, Win98, Win NT, Win2k GOU
Driver for XP is not out! -
Video driver for the satellite Pro A40
I've been on the Support from Toshiba site for drivers/downloads. The graphics card is the Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME graphics card.
Currently, the Device Manager read: version 6.14.10.4656 as of 08/01/2006 by Microsoft Corporation XDDM.Although I think I did the research properly, I'm not sure that this is the most recent update of the driver.
On a note related... It would be much more effective that the Toshiba server have been set up for users to connect and get appropriate lists of updates. Thanks for the tips
May I ask what you have problems?
Are there strange problems with your laptop that are related to the graphics driver?
Isn't it? So why a graphics driver is so important? In any case it s always a good idea to use the drivers provided by the site driver of Toshiba.
If you want to use a page Intel driver then you can do this at your own risk.See you soon

Problems of the product on the Satellite Pro A200 recovery
Hello
I have a Satellite Pro A200. She runs very slowly and sometimes it crashes when I connect.
Also the homepage was hacked and I tried several anti-spyware and they did not work.I have the product recovery disc, but the problem the DVD rom drive stopped working.
The light is on, but it will not open unless you use the manual unlocking.
I removed and checked the connections, but it seems okay. The CD-ROM/DVD-rom has disappeared from the Device Manager and does not come under the material.
I tried the system restore, but it won't work.Is there anyway that you can use the product recovery software if you start from a USB?
I tried to restart the computer and choose boot from CD, but it won't give me this option.
I looked in the bios and only boot options it gives are hard disk, CD rom, land and FDD> Is there anyway that you can use the product recovery software if you start from a USB?
No, this Toshiba recovery disc cannot be copied to USB flash memory and used for installing the OS. I'm afraid that it would work not m.
But if you have a Microsoft Windows CD, you should be able to create a USB bootable flash stick. In internet, you will find lots of useful instructions step by step how create this bootable USB key.
But boot from USB flash memory stick must be definitely possible since the BIOS supports bootable devices on:
Drive floppy USB, HDD, ODD, Network (LAN), USB memory -
Restore the partition from the Satellite Pro A200 recovery
Hello
I accidentally deleted the 5 GB recovery partition on my Satellite Pro A200. I have since recovered (and the data inside) and tried to create my discs of recovery using the "Recovery Disc Creator', but it is to say that it cannot find the recovery partition :(
I tried fishing by the ini files for recovery disc creator find where he seeks the score, but could not find anything...
One thing I noticed is that now it is recovered, it appears as a NTFS fs (I think that before it was an unknown FS type?) and volume label "HDDRECOVERY".
Any ideas on how I can either:
(a) wrong recovery tool by using the recovery partition
(b) to make the score look exactly as it did before I deleted it, so I can use the tool as it is.Would really appreciate any help - want to make these recovery disc for my vista ultimate before I go around whacking backtrack top :) and dicking
your
Frank
Hello
> accidentally deleted the recovery partition of 5 GB on my Satellite Pro A200. Since I got (and the data inside)
I wonder how you restored the deleted partition. Perhaps the recovery settings partition are not the same that before and, therefore, the "Recovery Disc Creator' doesn t work properly.Unfortunately, I think you will not be able to fool the recovery tool, if the recovery partition cannot be found.
You can rename only the partition NTFS FS. This can be done in the disk management console.
But I don t think this will solve this problem. It seems that you have to reinstall the whole OS using the CD of restoration of Toshiba or the original CD of Microsoft Vista
Good bye
